    CheeseCurd Burger
    Kathleen K.

We stopped by on our road trip. We like to visit nostalgic places and drive-ins are dying out. I hope this one lasts a long time. CheeseCurd Burger - very good but I ordered without the ranch and it came with a lot on it. I ate it, but would have preferred no sauce. Thge burger was moist and had good flavor. Hot Dog - my husband liked it Baskets come with fries and 2 onion rings. Both could be thicker and then they would be excellent. Pink Elvis - strawberry ice cream and Mountain Dew. My husband loved it. Pineapple Dole Whip - refreshing Rootbeer served in an ice cold frosty mug - perfect Service was great.

The Queen burger with a side of fries - and a couple of rings - abd a frosty mug of rootbeer to wash it all down.

Delicious burgers, fries & onion rings. The frosty homemade root beer is the perfect accompaniment.

Went for my birthday, classic drive in set up. They usually plenty of parking spaces, they have cornhole boards, connect 4, the menu is pretty basic but everything is fine very well. My daughters loved playing games while waiting for their food. Little more pricey than what I expected from when I had been here in the past but the cheese curd burger was amazing, and my wife and daughters loved their burger, chicken strips and corndog. Oh and of course the ice cream, also the rootbeer and rootbeer floats are something you cannot skip here.

Exploring Minnesota (son's 5th grade state report) on a family EV road trip from Southern California, the Cedar Inn and the nearby Green Giant were both among our named destinations. Once we saw the enormous grin and non-stop excitement in my son's eyes, we knew we made a good choice no matter how random this place seemed when we were forming our plans (Vegas, Zion, Brian Head, Mt. Rushmore, scenic Wyoming, the corn fields of Iowa, Minneapolis, Duluth, the Great Lakes, Chicago/Wrigley Field, I-70 through the Rockies and the yes, The Cedar Inn! The vibe of the restaurant perfectly fits that of Blue Earth. Everyone was smiling, friendly and seemed genuinely content to be just where they were. While we ate, the owner came out to chat with us. Of course he wanted to understand how his internet marketing efforts were working (well, I'd say) but he also shared a bit of his family history and that of the town. The burgers and fries were better than we expected and my wife had no problem finding something to satisfy her healthier diet. If you're in the area and/or planning to be, it's a great stop to get a bite, and enjoy some lite hearted 'entertainment' and dining as well as meet genuine people eager to chat. Don't forget to grab the nearby Geocaches, if that's your thing. Thanks again to the staff and Manager for making this a great stop along our journey. My son still talks about it with a huge smile and loves to sport his stylish Cedar Inn shirt.

Excellent thick crinkle cut French fries! I wouldn't mind eating here again just for the fries. Service was prompt and friendly.

Bergen Bar & Grill is hands down one of the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants I've ever been to!…read more Food: Do yourself a favor and order the filet mignon and wild rice -- and don't forget the side of 3 jumbo shrimp! My family has been coming here for years and we all order the same thing every time we come, and it's always phenomenal! The beef is SOOO tender, it literally melts in your mouth. And don't get me started on the wild rice. It's cooked to perfection and it's so buttery and flavorful. Atmosphere: Bergen Bar & Grill is a smaller restaurant that's first come first serve -- no reservations. You put your name and phone number on a notebook and they call you when your table is ready. Depending on the time you arrive, it can be a longer wait. However, they have a lovely patio where you can wait for your table OR you can hang out in your car. They do serve drinks on the patio which is a nice touch! One other thing to note, they are cash/check only. No credit cards so plan accordingly. Overall, I highly highly recommend Bergen Bar & Grill! You won't be disappointed.

Gayle and I stopped by Bergen last Sunday for Lunch. I think we were hoping for a Sunday Dinner…read morewith a nice steak at this causal down home restaurant. What we discovered was that they have limited weekend Lunch hours (11:30 - 1:30) and a more conventional burgers and sandwiches menu. It also wasn't nearly as crowded as the evening sittings can be. I'll still rate Bergen at 5 because it is a great steak dinner choice. However, their more conventional Lunch might not be worth the journey out here for some folks. We did have a nice time out here. Service was neighborhood friendly and efficient, while Gayle's steak sandwich and my German Patty Melt were very tasty. We both chose Onion Rings as our side, which always taste great going down, but sometimes linger afterwards. Their bar choices continue to improve, while Bergen remains Cash or Check only.
