AVOID AT ALL COST! They use the "As Is" clause to avoid Ethically refunding you for a $200 item that did not work when plugged in at pick up. Never mentioned that the popcorn popper was untested. One would assume you are buying it with the dirt and all, but at minimum if it didn't work then that should have been disclosed! They essentially robbed school kids out of $200. I bid on 3 items from a liquidation sale in a retirement community in Gladstone. I bought what was described as an electric wide recliner chair. It was obvious there was no cords when we saw it. Just your standard cheap used recliner. It wasn't even a wide seat. When my husband brought it to Equip-Bids employee's attention she blamed it on A.I. changing the description. She offered us a full refund for her "A.I "mess up. We had brought a trailer and was looking for having the item described for a disabled Veteran. It was extremely disappointing and a major undertaking getting a room cleared out for this purchase. Let alone the disappointment to the veteran who was looking forward to his purchase. We then went to locate the popcorn popper that we spent nearly $200 on. When we plugged it in it did not run properly. Nothing was mentioned that it was non working nor not tested. My husband went to talk to the employee supervisor, but she had stepped out for a moment. We went and got the third item which was another chair and it was worn but usable. When we had a chance to speak to the supervisor regarding our purchase of the popcorn machine, I explained to her that it was not working properly. I also made it very clear that it was being purchased for a school event and that they were going to be very disappointed that we are unable to deliver. There were 4 employees that kept telling me everything is being sold "as is". I explained that that should not include not working or not functioning properly. No one would have purchased a machine like this for the amount of money we spent if there was any indication it did not work properly. Even mark it as "untested". I wouldn't have bid at all. They know that people typically don't pay much if it's disclosed as untested or non working. One of the employees, the only male at the retirement home pickup made a comment that I was upset because it didn't work as fast as I would have liked. The motor was seized up from sitting for who knows how long. Instead of doing the right thing and making a good ethical decision to refund me for obvious garbage, Sidney told me I needed to waste more time and leave the machine at the site for them to first reach out to their manager to determine if they would authorize a refund. I was told that they would not authorize a refund if I took the machine I paid for. The auction ended at 4:00. My husband received a message after 4:00 that they declined to refund us and now we had to go out of our way to pick up between 11:00 am and 2:00PM on the following Wednesday or forefoot our $200 purchase all together. Nope no need to go to work... must jump through hoops to accommodate this company. No consideration at all! This Company has the worst unprofessional customer service, absolutely unethical in their business dealings, and makes excuses for their human errors when it comes to properly describing the item being auctioned. We are going to report our situation to the Attorney General's office as "as is" needs to be less broader and more consistent with the condition of the item in terms of scratches, dents, dirt etc Not functionality. That needs to be stated separately if it's an electronic. We also plan on letting everyone know what our experience has been. We have spent thousands of dollars buying from Equip-bids affiliates in the past, but it is to the point they are using the "as is" clause to steal your money. a good 40 to 50% of what we have purchased has been incomplete, non working , not the same item listed, or just pure broken or dirty trash. This $200 used popcorn popper is pure trash that they are fully aware of but chose not to do the right thing and refund us. They will also tell you that there is a preview day, but most people won't see their auction until the day of closing as in our case. That does not excuse the fact they do not accurately describe the item being auctioned. Deception. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... save yourself your time and money and read all of Equip-bids negative feedback... these are real people being mistreated and conned by this company. I can only think that the few positive feedback responses are from the employees and owners. I wish now that I would have done my research and checked out the terrible feedback first. Purchased "Appears New" in description items. Received obviously used broken items missing parts from two locations. Amazed by total lack of response by management. What does "appears new" mean to this organization?! Is it acceptable to receive items covered in powder, missing remote shown in photo. Misleading! This is one example of 2 I received this week. This is a business run very poorly. Wholesale Kansas City: trimmer in baggie that won't turn on, tagging gun in baggie with description "appears new" - Absolutely not! Bargin Bins KC! Avoid this place. It's ran by grifters and conmen . They sell trash to people so they don't have to pay to dispose of it. And if you ever do win a working item , when you show up they claim they lost it and just give you a refund. All your time effort, and gas money wasted. I believe they then resell the item for more,I also believe they make fake accounts and bid items up, you are legally obligated to purchase the items you if in but they legally don't have to give you the items it doesn't make sense. read more

I love this company. what most people forget to do is read the descriptions and look at the pictures before bidding on an item. Before the auctions are over you can call about the condition of the item or go see it i person. Each seller is a little different with rules and pick up. If you put in the time to research what you're bidding on you can find amazing things. It's like hitting a jackpot. I've been buying from them for 10 years and the only problem I ever had was not being able to sign in "one time" but after emailing the company with in 10 minutes they contacted me back and fixed it. Not worth the hassle or headache. I would give zero stars if possible. Do not use equip-bid as they do not honor their bidding contract, esp Retail Wars as a seller. Vincent McMurray, the contact person for RW, maybe the owner, does not even respond to inquiries about returning items even if you do so within the allotted time under the purchase agreement. Equip-bid is no help either. They will simply tell you the item is unreturnable even if it qualifies as a returnable item. DO NOT TRUST Equip-Bid or the auction sellers. Buyer beware. I purchased two items, a back pack and pack & play for a baby. There was no pack & play in the box, only accessories; and the backpack zipper was damaged, making the backpack unusable. Both items qualified for return, and I timely advised the seller per the bidding agreement. Retail Wars was completely unresponsive, and Equip-bid just made up something so that they wouldn't refund my money. Thank goodness for credit card claim disputes! I have bought four or five items from EXTREME DEAL LIQUIDATION. Every item I have bought has had an issue. When you confront them they tell you its sold "as is". Some of the items are not even what is in the box. They describe the item as "appears new" when they are clearly used. Many times there are items missing from the box which are not disclosed. When I confronted them about the "appears new", they said "well the box looks new". I told them I am not buying the box, but the item in the box. The owner could have cared less. Do yourself a big favor and DO NOT buy from this seller. It's not worth the hassle. If they took the time to take the items out of the box and then took the pictures, it would save a lot of headaches. Equip bids main office needs to remove them as a seller. A friend pointed out the auction site. Honestly a found several things that I bid on that were Great buys But many things that I bud on, stayed open box, nothing else. I purchased a CD tower that looked like a floor model they had taken apart, hole in top where screw looks to have been ripped out. And most of the screws, etc. we're missing. So I wasn't able to put it back together. I purchased picture frames, obviously returned to Amazon, had cracked plastic "glass" in frame. A kids cloth chair that looked like it was drug across the floor. Several issues other than just an open box with many items purchased. To top it off, I was in a bidding war with someone over a paint sprayer. It also stated "open box"... I can't remember what the image was but it wasn't used. I ended up getting it for $25... getting it home, opened box, the paint sprayer was used. The hose was totally covered in speckled white paint. The sprayer was covered in paint, obviously USED! And the paint container that attaches to the gun was in a zip lock bag, with about 2" of wet paint still inside and all over the inside of the bad. I immediately deleted my account. read more

I started buying things I could use or resale from equip bid auctions about 18 months ago. Got some great bargains. Some of the clearing houses shut down as items slowly became harder to get. Some more proffesional ran auction houses managed to continue offering quality items. Prices rose with less competition. Air Capitol auction was one that kept up with demand. However of later I have experience a quality control issue in they picture an item much larger than it really is. E ample I purchased described as a and shown as a sofa size piece of wall art. Some affiliates can be rude and lack customer service skills. In addition the Equip-Bid organization does not support the customer- buyers, but only support the affiliate. In trying to resolve an issue with an affiliate, the affiliate hung the phone up on me. I communicated my concerns to Equip-bid, provided screenshots of communication and it was not reviewed with an unbiased eye. One representative from Equip-bid told me "I agree there is a breakdown of communication on their end, but I cannot direct them to make a refund". Some affiliates operate out the home "BigBlue" and it is difficult scheduling a time to pick up items. Don't trust they will transport your items safely to the KC area. Be aware of your purchases whereas they may be broke, inoperable, missing pieces or misrepresented. Take that into consideration in your bidding. You are taking a big risk with your bidding. A.J. I had purchased items from L.S. Enterprise located at 901 E Gilbert, Wichita, KS 67211. Upon arrival I was disappointed to find items that were in poor condition. The condition could have been better represented with MORE than one or two pictures. When I brought my concern to their attention they just say "all sales are final". They also almost always repeat one or two pictures to have a higher image count. What good is the same picture over and over? L.S. Enterprise just blamed the images on "how they were uploaded". The place is a pig stye. I have attempted to contact Equip-Bid for two days now and no response. All I get is voice mails no matter what phone prompt you choose. Does Equip-Bid not have enough sense to answer their own business phone? One recording asked that customer service questions be directed to another number which when dialed, IS NEVER ANSWERED. THIS IS THE WORST, PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Do yourself a favor, find other auction web sites to bid on. read more

Customer Support Alice was a joke. She was rude and had my account suspended and wanted me to pay 70.00 dollars fee to get my account back. I had a medical emergency and was hospitalized and was unable to meet to pick up my auction winning bids. I called and explained to the sellers and everybody was fine with re-listing their items. Alice in customer support was the only one that had the problem and wanted to charge me a 70.00 fee even though I had been an outstanding customer and have 24 other paid invoices to prove it. The management of this company is absolutely the worst that I have ever encountered throughout over 20 years doing business in the resale industry. The issue isn't the vendors, with the exception of Extreme Deals, the unbelievable business practices I'm speaking of come from the customer service manager, Alison along with the owner of the company, Andy. My whole business is resale, after doing this for a while I have found the honest sellers that I pretty much stick exclusively to. I have been doing business with the vendors for the last few years and have no problems with the ones that I purchase from. As you can see in other reviews, there are a few vendors that are just plain dishonest but there are many vendors that are great, honest people with respectable business ethics. Unfortunately, after speaking with many people that have been involved in business with equip bid, I have been informed of multiple deceptive business practices. About 2 weeks ago i noticed my account was suspended and I needed to contact customer service. I had just spent $1100 the evening before & those invoices were paid in full so I was very confused why this might be. I called into customer service and got the privilege of speaking to Alison. I had already dealt with Alison months back while dealing with tax exempt invoices. I was well aware that Alison was not very friendly. The end of the first conversation with her resulted with the terms that if I want my tax exempt applied I am to email her directly after the auction ended or she would not be applying the tax exempt or issuing refunds for the taxes paid. These auctions sometimes end at 10:30pm & once in a while I'm already sleeping. I still wasn't super concerned calling customer service knowing that the suspension of my account had to be a mistake or it would be easily resolved. As Allison started to explain the issue while speaking to me as if i was a criminal, I was informed two prior transactions int the amount of $160 & $40 and the card was in "a completely different persons name. which has resulted in my account being permanently suspended". I was stunned knowing there had been no fraud on my end. I gave her a name, which is my elderly uncle that had purchased some things on my account. Relieved I told her I would pay those immediately...nope Alison said that wasn't going to be possible and in order for me to keep doing business with them I would have to get the dispute stopped. Again, I.ve purchased $1000's with this company aver the last couple of years, enough for them to easily know that not a criminal. I explained my uncle is elderly, his bank flagged it and he has no idea how to do this but again, I would pay the charges along with any fees incurred it was a simple mistake. Alison said that wouldn't be possible and if I cannot stop the chargeback, unfortunately even if I did their policy is to terminate the account. I requested to speak to the owner, Andy. I was informed Andy was out of town and he supports her decision. I have called and left messages for Andy which has yet to respond. In the meantime one of the vendors that I frequently do business wich called me telling me they sent her the chargeback, which by the way part of the issue was that it costs the actual company money, not the vendors. I immediately paid the vendor. In turn 2 weeks later my account is still terminated. Again, there are a handful of sellers that are great, it just takes some trial and error. If you are thinking of signing a contract to be a vendor, BEWARE! The experience I have with them and the knowledge I have from doing alot of business in this industry, I would highly recommend doing your research and making sure anything they verbally tell you is in your contract, when problems arise they refer directly to what is written in the binding contract and Andy doesnt seem to remember any verbal promises made. Very unfortunate that this has happened as I really enjoy the vendors I work with. Good thing is that there is a more than one option in our area! Andy, I would really still like to have a discussion with you over this whole situation. Allison assures me you made the final decision. I can not imagine as a business owner you would look at my account, know I have spent a large sum of money with your company, & be able to evaluate that I'm obviously not a criminal. Completely a rip off.. bought so much from them and it's 50/50 on broken and working.. I will not use them anymore, and thanks to them I can't.. DO NOT BUY FROM EXTREME DEALS Liquidation!! If you need a refund it is the BIGGEST hassle. One time they argued with me about returning a laptop that was advertised as "appears new" and when I got it home you couldn't even see the screen because it was clearly damaged. I went to pick up another item that I won and they couldn't find it. Of course I was guarantied a refund but 4 weeks later and after many calls I still have not received it. Their Partner promised the world but was slow to communicate. The agreement was to supervise and remove the equipment but they went in and scapped the merchandise and left me a huge mess. Promised to clean up the mess but never came back and blamed it on the rain. They get paid immediately but have 20 days to pay I received a fraction of what the merchandise was worth. What a wacky site/company. I registered on their site, entered credit card info, verified my phone number. Right before an auction closed, I get a notification that their system has restricted my bidding privileges. I emailed their support, which of course doesn't reply until after the auction is closed, telling me their system automatically flagged my phone number and I need to use a new cell phone number and re-verify. I've never seen an auction site as restrictive as this, including the government surplus auction sites. My email/phone/credit cards have no problems with any of the other surplus/liquidation sites. I wonder how much money their sellers are losing out from customers not being able to bid? I would find another site/service if I was a seller. Luckily after contacting the seller and telling them the problem I'm having, they're selling me another identical lot, actually 30% better, for the same price. She mentioned they're not impressed with Equip-Bid either and looking into other services. I gave her a couple recommendations of other auction sites that I've had no problems with. Equip-Bid deserves 0 stars, but since I ended up getting a much better deal due to Equid-Bid's screwy system, I guess they deserve 1 star. This is a terrible sight not trustworthy. Items are broken or in dis repair. If you have a problem the girl who answers the phone is combative and of no help she should be fired. She does not care about resolving or helping the situation. I will never use this sight again its a total BUYER BEWARE! Customer service is horrible, on my invoice it stated my items were in Tonganoxie,Ks only to find out items were in Belton,Mo. I called their office and it took a total of 5 phone calls to find out where my items were. Have had several issues in the past. Items not as described or not available for pickup. Even had the wrong items completely. This may be a seller-by-seller issue. My issue with the platform, itself, is that the BUYER has very little protection or options if anything were to happen. All protection goes to seller. Recently, I had an issue with an item purchased on my account not made by me. Although a lengthy amount of time passed before noticing the fraudulent purchase, I basically had zero recourse. I was told... sorry, it's treated just like a forfeiture and we paid the seller. I can't think of ANY other platforms that operate this way (ebay, Amazon, overstock, liquidation, etc). The site claims you can notify equip-bid and make arrangements to pick items up later. I had a family emergency and contacted the website, who told me to contact Wholesale KC. Worthless. If I could write a zero I would. Today I went to pick up my item only to be told at last minute I did not win the bid. As shown from the photo, I was allowed to bid at the same amount as someone who had bid at the same maximum price. Never received any notification that I was outbid ( don't even know how that's possible at the same price) even though my settings were such to send me a notification in case of an outbid. Guy in the underground at pickup time was the rudest person I have ever met and basically told me to suck it up and I did not know how their system worked. Could not explain how someone else outbid me at the same price. This situation with the delay of outbid notifications is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I checked all my folders on my email including spam and nothing. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!! Why bid on items if you don't get notified when outbid at all. read more

Do not be lured in by the descriptions. They are purposely left vague. After buying from them 4 or 5 times, I gave up. Almost everything had a hidden flaw that was not mentioned in the description or shown in the photos. "Appears New", "Open Box", etc. are all slick sales terms for stuff that has been returned because it was damaged or defective. The other people on here are correct about who is a "customer", hint: It's not you. Their customer is whoever they are liquidating all this stuff for and you have no buyer protection except to not buy from people who have nothing to lose by sticking you with a bunch of scratch and dent junk. read more

Very poor customer service! Owner promises to get back to you so he can get you off the phone, then zero communication back. I've spent nearly $5,000 in the past few months and will not purchase from them again, which is sad because not all their locations are like this. Stay away. Although there may be some good deals, most of this is just items they repair enough to get it out the door that will break as soon as you get them home. They let the seller post whatever incorrect information they want and do not help or back the buyers at all. Terrible customer service. They break their own "contracts" ,but do not allow the buyer to do the same when they are in a situation of being screwed out of hundreds of dollars. I have purchased at about 12 auctions and each time was a great experience. They are willing to help with loading and other pickup arrangements. Like any auction, you must be aware of the condition of what you are bidding on and be able to transport what you buy. I have gotten some great bargains and also got as much as I paid for- It's an auction, and the service they provide is very good. read more
