I have utilized dozens of Auction Houses over the past year. Midwest Liquidation Services is the…read moreworst Auction house I have ever dealt with. They are terrible from a buyer's perspective, as well as terrible from a seller's perspective. From a buyers perspective, I reached out 4 times before the auction to determine if he was willing to ship certain items. We spoke on the phone and he was agreeable to shipping, the items I was interested in purchasing. It took him 7 weeks to ship the item, that we specifically discussed. It was an antique picture, framed under glass. He literally wrapped a picture in Christmas wrapping paper (see Photos). As you would expect, the glass was shattered in transit and the broken glass damaged the antique picture. There were 3 other antique framed posters, that were also framed under glass. They also arrived totally ruined with scratches and gouges from the glass. So, if you are willing to wait two months for your items to arrive broken and ruined, Darwin is your man. From a sellers perspective, Midwest Liquidation Services does not provide the seller with the true value of their belongings. He placed Do not ship on a seemingly random, and significant number of auction lots. As an example, in this auction, there were 5 coins, slightly larger than a quarter, that were marked will not ship. As a result, these items could only be available to bidders nearby in the State of Kansas. The 99% of the US population, that could have bid on the 5 coins were excluded. This meant these coins only received few and insignificant bids. They sold for $8 each. However Darwin demanded significantly more than that to ship those 5 coins. So, the seller received a fraction of the true value of their items and Darwin realized more in handling fees, than the shipper received from the Auction. So, Sellers beware, if you want to receive maximum value for your items, you will NOT receive that if you list your items with Midwest Liquidation Services

I had a conflict and was unable to get to the pick up at the time allotted. The business was…read moreextremely rude threating to throw my purchase out if I didn't get there before 3 PM.. I ask for an exception and he said I can pay him $35 extra for every time he has to move anything, and he said he will have to move it 5-6 times. I ask my daughter to go pick it up and she did. But when she asks for a little help, they referred to the post that said they do not help. But the 3 or 4 guys were kind enough to laugh at her struggle as a girl along trying to push a 100lb file cabinet up a hill to her truck. They also told her that she could not drive on the grass. I understand I failed to get there as intended, But as a business, would you watch and laugh at a girl struggling, in her presents, and refuse to offer a little help? This business does not deserve my future business.
