More recently I've been buying baby clothes here because what I love about JCP is their sales and that extends to the children's clothing. At this particular store, the entrance on what I found out was the second floor is does not have any sort of button for disabled folks to enter. It is kind of astounding to me that in the year 2024 this is not standard on basically any entrance door, especially on a building that's less than 100 years old. Also interesting is that the elevator is in one of the further corners of the store, so that seems really helpful for someone with a disability who's trying to visit. They no longer have a Sephora, but they do have a beauty section in the middle of the store. They don't sell the same brands as they did as Sephora, though. I asked if they had the Lancome mascara that I use and they didn't. I'd return if I was in the area but may not make a special trip here. That's what online is for.

When I shared my budget, I was told--rather abruptly--that there were no options available and that they don't provide measurements. The tone felt dismissive, and the information didn't align with my past experiences, as I've previously purchased items within that same price range. More than anything, it was the lack of basic courtesy that stood out. A simple "thank you for waiting" would have gone a long way. I value businesses that respect my time, my presence, and my dollar.
