The roads to get there feel very strange! That being said, I went here for some aerial fabrics classes. They have several levels, so you can find the Igor one based on your skill set. They also have Lyra and pole. They have a ton of kids classes. The studio is compact but they get the job done. The folks here are very nice and very welcoming. There are snacks and things if you need a quick before or after class pick me up. There is a little seating area before you get to class in the studio area. The bathrooms are very nice. The parking is a free lot with a few spots in front and more off to the side and back. I haven't had problems parking, but there is only one entrance into and exit from the lot. Anyhow, the class size for aerial fabrics is 6, so it's cozy. The classes are 1 hour, but it's a good amount to get stuff done. I kinda wish it were longer but appreciate the shorter time. They have individual and class packs, so that's up to you what you'd like to do. They are not pushy about classes or anything. Everyone is just super nice and helpful. I like his studio a lot! If you feel like being in Frederick for aerial fabric or Lyra or pole classes, Luna is an excellent place!

They have pole classes and Lyra and fabric - super fun! They may have more, but those are the ones I've seen and considered. Since I'm relatively new to aerial arts, I've only taken a few classes here for Lyra and fabrics, but I have loved the classes. The class size is 6 or fewer, so your instructor has plenty of time to help you if you're lost, confused or, you know, stuck in the air. The instructors are talented individuals who take the time to model the skills and are adept at figuring out how to help you see the skills from different perspectives. They change cues and point out different muscles, movements and positions to cater to the student. There are mirrors in the front of the aerial studio, so, you can see what you're doing. It is helpful, but it can be a little daunting. I've never had a problem finding parking here. The cost is affordable as far as aerials arts classes are priced. There are options for class packages if you are interested in going regularly. Have fun, it's a blast!

I learned some amazing stuff. I am a dancer and actor but had never tried aerial before. This was a unique experience and the teacher Karen is great. Detailed personal attention and care with new students. There were a few more experienced aerialists and she integrated us so well. Was partnering with others on bungee and on the wall by the end of the first day! She really was able to connect with all skill levels. Cannot say enough about this wonderful company and teacher, sign up for classes and see their shows whenever you get the chance. I live in London but I will definitely take a class again when I go back to NYC! I don't know if they have classes for kids but they should!

There's minimal parking, and you might find parking on the street as well. I took a beginner silks class and an intermediate lyra class. It seemed like our teachers were subs, and I would have been curious to experience a class by the regular teachers (I was only passing through town). Rigging appeared safe, but it was only a cursory look as I felt comfortable with the tricks we were working in class. I greatly enjoyed the other aerialists who were welcoming and fun.

You think you know your body...until you put it upside down! One of those workout experiences where you're having fun while striking these familiar poses--in a trapeze just a foot off the ground--but watch out, because you won't feel it until the next day. Michelle is extremely positive and hands-on, and the classes are usually on the smaller side, so you can feel comfortable enough to ask questions and experiment to make the routine work for you. I am SO wary to put up a review out of fear that it will get more people to come and overcrowd the class--but I can't help it! I need to share the aerial love! Namaste :)
