The most amazing instructors ever -- their training program is consistent. I love this location because you get to walk outside to the beautiful fells point. Parking in this area is relatively easy in the morning as well. I'm thinking of investing in a membership soon! read more

This Pilates House in Fells Point was my very first introduction to Pilates, and now that I've been to three different studios across a couple companies, I can confidently say this one stands out. From the start, they did a great job making me feel prepared and welcomed. They provided clear, helpful information about what to expect as a first-timer and even what to bring--details that can make a big difference when you're new and unsure. This information is on their website but I also called ahead of time to verify. The studio itself is clean, fresh, and modern--an inviting space that feels great to work out in. The staff are quite kind, friendly, and well-organized. I appreciate how attentive and helpful they were during class. They gently stepped in with guidance when needed in a way that felt supportive --something I really appreciated. I've now taken two classes here: a reformer class and a hot Pilates class. Both were enjoyable in totally different ways, and I'd highly recommend trying both to see what works for you. Personally, I found a new joy with the reformer--it's such a unique and effective workout. But I also enjoyed the hot room, which offered an amazing sweat session and left me feeling less tense and well stretched from all the good blood flow. I'm so glad I started my Pilates journey here, and I definitely hope to return for more classes in the future! read more

Great Pilates space. While visiting my friend she booked us a private duo. Our instructor was friendly and good at giving instructions. She also listened to what we wanted. I didn't love these reformers as much as the larger ones at Club Pilates, but overall they were fine. The space is absolutely beautiful with so much light and if I lived in the area, I would be a regular visitor. read more

I love the instructors, classes, and schedule here. The fundamentals classes are perfect for me as a beginner - easy to follow but still a rewarding workout. The studio is also beautiful and has such a great energy. One note: They do offer reoccurring memberships via the app, but you cannot cancel on the app. You must email to cancel. I now stick to buying bulk passes to keep it simple. read more

First class here, and first reformer pilates class ever. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. The whole process of checking in and getting set up for class was easy. I'm still on the trial membership, and was able to book classes/get waitlisted through their easy to use App. The studio is bright, spacious, and clean. Best Pilates in the heart of Fells Point in Baltimore. The classes are great, challenging, yet the instructors make it easy to follow along. I love that they have various classes types to choose from. I look forward to trying them all but have only done both of the more advanced reformer classes so far. The studio is SO cute with a great aesthetic. It honestly feels like you've walked into an LA or NYC studio. They have an adorable store at the front with a great selection of clothing. I have never consistently gone to workout classes in my 31 years on this earth, but Pilates house changed that. They have a great app and the instructors are incredible. It has seriously changed to my life! Pilates is a great workout for those who don't want to punish their joints, and the different instructors all have different styles so you can mix it up. read more

The first thing I did when I joined ClassPass was searched for pilates. I knew there were already several studios in a certain neighborhood but Pilates House popped up in a different neighborhood and I never knew it existed. Its a fairly brand new studio that has been opened for about 5 months now. I thought I knew the ins and outs of this neighborhood. I've strayed away for too long. The studio is very clean and bright. I love that new new. When you first enter, there are displays and items for purchase. In the back is the studio room and restroom. A lot of people just left their personal belongings on the bench but there are cubbies near the restroom. The class was limited to about 10 give or take. Its a small class but that gives the instructor a little more time with you if you need assistance. There are no shoes or socks allowed so you're going bare footed with the exception of grip socks. Definitely recommend coming a bit early if you're a first timer so you can get situated with the equipment. Our instructor was terrific. If you have any injuries, which I did, they will accommodate and work around it. The music isn't blasting either so you can hear the instructor but loud enough to get you motivate to move. I've worked muscles I never knew I had. I would definitely recommend! read more

I became a member of Pilates House shortly after it reopened in June and have gone early every day since! Upon entering the studio (all are required to wear a mask), everyone is given hand sanitizer and has their temperature taken. Classes have at most 10 participants, machines are about 6 feet apart, and sanitized 2 times between each class. Participants are required to wear masks when not directly on machines and asked to keep them on throughout the duration of class. Classes have also been spaced out more so that there is time between classes to sanitize everything and prevent large groups from forming. Pilates House is doing all they can to keep members safe and I feel very comfortable going to classes because of the precautions they are taking. Aside from that, the studio itself is gorgeous and located in a great part of Fell's Point. There are windows all along the walls of the studio, giving you a beautiful view of the harbor and the rest of Fells Point. All instructors are incredibly motivating and put together fantastic classes. There are 4 different classes and you can't go wrong. Each class is unique, will get your muscles burning, and leave you feeling accomplished after class. What I love about these classes is that I leave them feeling both accomplished and relaxed and ready to take on the day. Also if you want to grab a cup of coffee or bite to eat after class, this studio is perfectly situated next to a number of restaurants and coffee shops. I'm still very new to Pilates but my experience at Pilates House so far has been very pleasant. You enter the studio and are greeted by one of the many ladies at the front desk and are welcomed by the most relaxing smell of incense. Do make note that it's best to arrive early, their attendance policy is no joke. This way you can communicate any injuries or discomfort you may have to the instructor. Everyone who works here is extremely encouraging and I've yet to have an unpleasant experience, Alex is especially great! She'll make you feel like you can do anything. Their fundamentals class is perfect for beginners and you really are encouraged to take everything at your own pace. I will say I've noticed a decrease in available classes through ClassPass, so give their apps shot first since there's a good beginner package. read more

As an intermediate yogi but newbie to Pilates, I was excited/nervous to try out this new studio. I went to my first class last week and have been here 2 more times since! I recognize that under current COVID precautions, working out at the gym is considered high risk which made me rather cautious about attending a workout class, but I feel very comfortable at Pilates House--even safer than going to some grocery stores. They require you to use hand sanitizer upon entry and exit and do a temperature check before you start the class. Unlike at a gym where people may get close to you between machines, all of the reformers are spaced out at least 6 feet from each other. For most of the classes you are on your machine the entire time or doing plyometrics right next to it so that you never get closer than 6 feet from your neighbor. The cubbies are not being used and you're asked to keep the belongings that you bring into the studio to a minimum. The studio always looks and smells very clean (I assume due to their very fresh scented disinfectant wipes). Masks are required when walking around the studio and are encouraged to be worn when you're on your reformer if you can handle it. Most people in the classes I've gone to have been keeping them on for the majority of the time and only take them off to drink water. All of the instructors are really positive and they have all been very helpful talking me through adjustments (none hands-on) as me and my soft, untoned quarantine body adjust to doing regular exercise again. Cardio Core with Penny is a great total body workout and she has great taste in music :) read more

I am extremely disappointed and shocked by the discrimination and racism shown by the employee Katie at Pilates House. I absolutely would give this establishment 5 stars if it had not been the ill treatment shown towards me by their employees. I was turned away twice by the same employee when I was less than 5 minutes late. However, I have been in sessions where individuals are welcomed in 5-10 min after the class has begun, Katie working the front desk. I wonder why they allowed them and not me? Take a wild guess. I think it's pertinent that either the late rule is enforced or they allow all guests to be 5-10 min late. It is unacceptable that Katie clearly chooses who she will allow in after the start time. This needs to be rectified immediately. read more

This place is extremely militant about its attendance policy. They explained to me on sign up day that they are strict about being on time because other people are on the waitlist and sometimes sit in the shop waiting for someone to not show up so they could take their spot. Given that context I understand why they won't take people who are past 5-10 mins late to a class. I showed up to a noon class today at 12:02 with my face red and out of breath because I ran to the studio when the girl was LOCKING THE DOOR not letting anyone in. She opened the door for me to tell me that TWO MINUTES LATE is unacceptable and she will not allow me in. All the while a guy who appeared to be her friend thought it would be nice to give commentary and say "uh oh" when i showed up "extraordinarily" late. I don't even get written up at work for being 2 mins late. I'm a customer; not an employee. There was no one else in the lobby except for the dude who thought it would be great to project his opinion onto the situation. I know for a fact that there were about 20 open spots in the class too...I don't understand why this was so unacceptable. Absolutely no forgiveness or flexibility. Luckily they gave me my class credit back for future classes, but I'm afraid my morals do not align with uptight yogis. Idk if it is just this girl that's so uptight or all of them, but its putting back into the frame of mind that I was in before: not sure i fit in with yoga girls. I'll be using the rest of my credits to get my money's worth but I'm going to have to seriously reconsider if i want to come back after that. read more

To stay with I love it! I'm only reforming for a few months, but I have seen an absolutely impressive change in my core strength and length and my whole body as a matter of fact. Whole team is just awesome and take good care of us. Their energy is inspiring, and they make the classes so fun and at the same time so challenging! I'm super delighted with the extended measures they have taken to make us feel safe! The studio is very very clean and everyone is super careful and limited to their space. Everyone wears a mask the whole time, which I had no problem with from day one! Totally doable! Love this place, it just makes my day every time I go! read more

I take private sessions with Brianna and I am not exaggerating it has changed my life. Recent cancer survivor with orthopedic issues. Brianna tailors the session to my needs and pushes me enough to work hard, but not enough to make me want to quit. I am getting stronger, more flexible and more confident.
