BHY&W"C" This studio should definitely include "Community"…read morein their name. Although I'm not typically a person who takes classes on Sunday mornings, I decided to join today because I love Kamaria's classes. Halfway through class today, there was an emergency outside of the room that required Kamaria to step out. Without a beat a member, who was obviously a seasoned instructor, stepped up and guided the class to completion. The class flow was seamlessly and the instructions continued perfectly. It's hard to imagine that an emergency had just taken place. I realized how hard it may be to find instructors, but to have such passionate student/teachers who care as much about other's well being as their own is inspiring. This is truly a COMMUNITY

I went here on a whim. I signed up for two yoga classes there were not hot yoga. Yes, this place…read morehas other yoga besides hot yoga. The people there were very nice and knowledgeable. The first class I took was Yin yoga, which is a great beginner yoga class. Very gentle and easy postures, nothing crazy. I sadly made the mistake of taking another yoga class the very next day. This class was by far more advanced than I was ready for, that was my fault. I believe it was called RSS. It felt really difficult with the prolonged postures and I was so sore afterwards. It was fun to try and I would recommend for those looking for a yoga studio with a variety of classes.

They also have ice cream and refillable water at all times. They even offer towels. The workers are always kind and helpful. The pool area is always clean and welcoming. Everyone who attends and goes to Merritt Clubs is always fun and nice. It's always a great vibe, especially in the summer. When the concession is closed, you can enjoy tremendous food options in the area. There is tons of parking and is easily accessible.

I enjoy the pool and feel so much joy going down the water slide and the lap pool, especially before noon. The adult swim time is an awesome 15 minutes at the top of every hour. At first I thought it was unnecessary, but it's great and much needed, because the pool is overwhelmed with kiddos mostly without direct adult supervision. They're splash and cannonball happy which has led to a wet book and a splashed kindle lol. They're young and don't know but adults should. The pool is also full of day campers after 12:15 this summer. I've found quiet (surprisingly) near the kiddie (under 4) area and me and my books are splash free sitting on the edge of the pool near the water slides.

I have been a regular student at CoreWorks for about five years, and I love it! This is not one of…read morethose "bargain bin" clubs stacked with reformers and a ridiculous client-instructor ratio. At Coreworks, the classes have no more than 8-10 reformers, so the instructor can take the time to help each student with the routines. No two workouts are the same, and classes are never dull. If you are thinking of giving Pilates a try, visit CoreWorks and check Groupon, as there are often new member/class packages.

I always wanted to try pilates on the reformer. The gym I go to is too pricy so when I saw an offer…read moreon groupon for three sessions I purchased it. Per the instructions on groupon, I emailed Fran so that I could create a log in online but I didn't hear back from her so I called the office. Once my account was created, I was able to sign up for classes. I was informed before I took any classes I would need to take the Intro to Equipment class. Fran was the instructor. She was patient and helpful as it was my first time and I needed specialized attention. For my second session, I took Reformer I & II with Doreen. Foe my last session I took Tower with a substitute for Doreen. All the instructors were patient, helpful, and friendly. They ask if anyone had injuries and they walk around and if your technique is wrong they adjust and correct you which I greatly appreciated. The classes were challenging to me since I am not good at following directions. Also, if you don't remember instructions well, I recommend taking Intro to Equipment multiple times. I had to look around to see how to do things as I am a visual learner, not an audio learner. The facility is tucked away in the corner and is not visible if you are in the parking lot. Fortunately I saw someone wearing athletic clothes and followed them. The facility is clean and bright. There are two individual restrooms. There is a main room with cubbies. The reformer room also had cubbies. The reformer room was slightly warm even with ceiling fans so I dressed lighter the second and third session. I enjoyed my experience, but could have benefitted from more intro classes. The classes were much different than my normal cardio and strength training classes at my gym. The pace was slower and it was a great way to relieve stress. I highly recommend Core Fitness for Pilates.
