I have something to…read moresay :) They replaced my roof a month ago and from the estimate to completion they were very professional and kept great level of communication with me. I obtained 3 estimates from local companies that all initially passed my research process: I looked up projects each company had done over the past couple of years/ permits pulled and closed/ any complaints / workers comp issues / insurance carried and lastly I looked at reviews online. I came up with 3 I wanted to invite to bid. What sold me on First Rate Roofing was when I met Ethan in person. He was the only owner that came out to look at my project . Infact, with the other 2 companies , I had a hard time figuring out who even owned the companies in my online research. ..... AND his estimate had a clause about the Workmanship Warranty ...NOBODY else out of the 3 companies I invited for bids did that !!! It was as if they couldn't warranty the work they did! All the companies had something about the shingle manufacturer warranty but the reality is that if the workmanship isn't good , the product warranty doesn't matter====I know I'm writing a lot here BUT this was an huge investment, and I'm trying to help you with your due diligence process==== I also liked the Owens Corning Duration products they installed. I read about the product online ( the specs) and went to "touch" the shingles at the local Big box stores on Sprague. The worries about color choice was last on my list of considerations when I chose the product, but I was surprising pleased with the color options in the OC line. If you have problems with picking a color, don't worry, Ethan helped me with that too. I chose "Teak" which looks great with Grey-Taupe-green homes. That will leave some room for house paint color changes. First rate roofing didn't have the lowest bid but that was NOT the deciding factor. The bid was very fair and I'd rather pay a couple dollars more to have a roofing company I had complete confidence in. Product warranties mean nothing if you can't trust the skill level of the Installer. When I met Ethan, the owner, I was impressed by his knowledge about roofing, and the fact that he didn't mind answering my questions no matter how stupid they were :) I also found Ethan, is highly motivated individual who has built a team of roofers that echo his commitment to hard work. Once I signed my contract, I scheduled the work to start about 5 weeks later. They took care of everything. It took about 2 days to do my roof. They needed to replace a couple areas of the decking. Something I was really please with: they were able to take out all the ugly Mushroom Vent thingys and put in ridgeline venting which really helped update my house. Every evening, the crew cleaned up my yard in such a way that I didn't know they'd even been there! I'm a stickler about my yard, and I appreciated that they took care to protect the plants surrounding my home. I've heard of roofers that leave nails behind that people find all year long BUT NOT THESE GUYS!! you just won't find anything and you will have a well done roof ...Maybe this was more than you wanted to know. I am going to post this review on a few different sites because this company deserves consideration by my Spokane area neighbors needing a new roof or repairs. I had a great experience and encourage you to check out this company. I would not hesitate to recommend or use their services again. This was in the spring of 2021 and all seemed well until the rains came later in the year and we discovered one of the windows that did not previously leak, was leaking. After numerous attempts to connect with this company through calls and emails I am finally writing a review to express my immense disappointment in the aftercare and lack of communication. Given that I will now have additional expenses to fix their poor installation work to protect my home, I cannot recommend this company.

One of the better newer ones he had seen in the Spokane area! And to top everything off, I had a situation arise with a different company who was acting as the site super/general contractor and they were not keeping their site clean. They wouldn't take responsibility, but passed me off to Ruda, who went above and beyond to resolve my issue and exceeded my expectations in doing so. The could have passed me back to the general contractor, but instead they prioritized my satisfaction as a customer. For this, I'm extremely grateful. The experience we had today with Coeur D Alene Window Company and Kipton, their Territory Sales Manager, was over the top impressive. After months of research we determined that these window systems were first rate, manufactured quite well and provide wonderful insulating qualities. After the installation, we noticed some operating issues which is not unusual in as much as the units were shipped by truck from the manufacturing plant. Kipton showed up today and could not have been more personable and genuine. All while wanting to "genuinely" service the units. He has years of experience with windows and glass and it really showed. He went into great detail about the construction of the window systems and the deep dive Coeur 'D Alene takes to assure high performance and quality control. Yet it was his attention to detail in our home today which won the day. That and his generosity of spirit in taking his job and our repair very seriously. The company's representative, Tyler, could not have been more helpful. He arrived as promised to assess the condition of the roof, take measurements and make recommendations. The estimate arrived in my inbox the next day and was a full $6,000 lower than what the first contractor proposed and lower still than the second company's estimate. Tyler's recommendation for the color of the shingles was perfect and compliments the colors of the house and Perrenoud's crew was great. Despite the fact there were 2 layers of shingles on this roof, water damage and a skylight that needed reframing, they finished the work in 2.5 days. This is a GAF roof with an exceptional warranty and will definitely outlast me. If you're looking for great service, quality and a reasonable price for a new roof, this is the company you want to call.
