Great first visit and I was lucky they found some problems before they became too bad. They took care of everything and I am very greatful.

UPDATE: I wanted to update my original review because Dr. Svancara reached out to me personally…read morewithin 24 hours and went above and beyond to make things right. He apologized, took accountability for what happened and addressed my concerns directly; which is something that is uncommon these days. Although the manager who caused my initial complaint was not there, I noticed an immediate improvement in the professionalism and attitude of the rest of the front office staff during my next three visits. To me, that says a great deal about Dr. Svancara's character and leadership. Rather than ignoring the situation, he listened, took action, and made meaningful changes. That level of care and commitment to his patients deserves recognition. I am grateful for how this was ultimately handled and wanted to give him the recognition he deserves. ----------------------------------------- OLD REVIEW: Good doctor, incompetent staff. I've been a long time patient and they canceled my appointment without sufficient notice and took zero accountability. The manager on duty Paula, refused to fulfill her basic job duties by simply listening to and investigating my complaint regarding insufficient notice. I approached her with respect however, I was met with a dismissive and condescending attitude. Rather than showing empathy or attempting to understand the issue, she seemed unwilling to look into it at all. The way this situation was handled by the office staff was unacceptable. I hope Dr. Svancara reviews any recorded phone calls and security footage so he can see firsthand how this interaction was handled and ensure future patients are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.

I was able to choose Clear Sky Dermatology through the Veterans Administration. The office staff…read moreis incredibly helpful and professional. Dr Svancara gave me a thorough exam and found some issues that my primary physician had missed. After talking to Dr Svancara I find out that he OWNS the PLACE. You get such great care here at Clear Sky people should DUMP their current dermatologist and come here.

Even the doctors leave this practice. The other comments…read moreare true. This place struggles because they rely on a 3rd party phone service. Just drove to my appointment only to be told they didn't show my appointment and said doc was double booked but they could schedule me for another day. Don't waste your time.

I was misdiagnosed TWICE! First, I should point out that you never see an actual Dermatologist in…read morethis office (unless you need surgery), just a PA. After two years I've never laid eyes on the doctors whose names appear on the door. I had been going here for yearly check-ups and chemical peels (which have been administered differently almost every time....a bad sign). One day I discovered inflamed hair follicles that were itchy. I showed these spots to the PA who told me, "...you should try changing shampoo and conditioner". A few months later my hair started to fall out so I did some of my own research on line (Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic). I went back and told the PA that I might have folliculitis. He said, "probably not, but we'll take a biopsy and have the lab look at it." Guess what? I have bacterial folliculitis! He told me to use a specific shampoo and Mupirocin ointment. Four weeks after starting treatment, it's no better. During this time I had asked him to look at a raised spot on my nose, and he had told me it was nothing; maybe a keratosis. He never asked how the folliculitis treatment was going. The spot was really bothering me, so I went back a couple of weeks later. This time he took a biopsy and, lo and behold, I have basal cell carcinoma, a common skin cancer. I'm through with this place. In the past, I've always seen a Dermatologist. I'll look for a similar type of office.
