I explained that I needed an appointment for a medication renewal and even provided the name of the medication to the scheduler before the appointment was confirmed. When I arrived for my appointment, the provider refused to see me because the medication wasn't one she had originally prescribed nor was it one she "prefers" to prescribe. Rather than explaining this to me herself, I overheard the conversation through the exam room door while she spoke with the medical assistant in the hallway. The medical assistant then came in to explain why I would not be seen. When I asked why the scheduler hadn't informed me of this when I specifically identified the medication three weeks earlier, my concern was dismissed. I had taken time off work, waited three weeks for the appointment, and still left without being seen. I left as soon as I was able to.

Definitely not welcoming for a new patient…read more The provider I saw ran late, rushed through, didn't seem to believe me, and basically shoved me off to wait to hear back from them about the thing I went in for. It hasn't been resolved and I still haven't heard back days later. During the visit, the provider breezed the details tellng me what was going to be involved in the future visit and what medicine I would be prescribed, and how I would have to take care of it after the procedure. But I have no idea when this is going to happen and I'm probably not going to remember all the details in a week or two. I didn't think to ask when this was going to happen, since when I called in that morning for the appointment I had been under the impression they would take care of my problem on that initial visit. Since I haven't heard back I tried calling them to get the ball rolling. Getting through to a human via the phone is a nightmare. First you get their AI bot. Their AI never can help you, it only makes the whole thing take more of your time as it fruitlessly tries before sending you on to someone who can supposedly help. I tried 10 times already today. I l wait and wait on hold forever and it finally dumps me to someone's voicemail. I leave messages but don't hear back. I tried some yesterday and had the same experience. Now I'm looking to go somewhere else because I can't get through to them and they haven't contacted me back. I'm going to heed the warning signs they're blasting at me and flee this place. I can't even get in contact with someone there to have them send the records from my visit to the new dermatologist I'm now looking to go to, so I'm going to have to start it all over again with a new doctor with the initial consult and then another trip for the actual procedure I need. Omni Dermatology just wasted my time and money. Horrible uncaring experience. Feels like they don't care one bit.
