Heard many good reviews about Epicurean buffet here in Sydney and had to try it while visiting.
I have to say that as much as I want to give this buffet more stars, I would rather be honest with the review.
Given this buffet offers king crabs, I would say it is worth the price if you are seafood lovers. I think the quality of the seafood offer here is great and fresh.
The Asian food here is amazing. However, this is where I am not sure if I would pay this much just to eat Asian food buffet. I am Asain, born and raised, by the way.
The service was fine, but their staff didn't really explain how anything works when they seated us. We had to approach one of the staff to make sure what to do and how to pay for the meal.
For the Americans who had been to buffet in Las Vegas, this place would not exceed the expectations. Though the ambiance is nice but the variety of the buffet overall is not a 10 out of 10 rating.
The meat section here is underwhelming. If you are a meat eater, the pork dishes are delicious. I wish they offered better meat selections.
The dessert and the fruit are good. It's just enough variety and not too overwhelming.
Overall, if you visit Sydney, this buffet is located in a beautiful Crown Hotel, and it is worth visiting. However, besides the offering of King Crab, I don't think this buffet is worth 135 aud for dinner (about $89).
Again, if you are seafood lovers, this is a great dinner experience for sure. read more
