We ordered online & came for a matinée showing of "Avatar: Fire & Water". I swear, there were more employees here than I saw patrons. Expect to pay: - $12.79/person (matinée) Or - $15.81/person (in the evening) **does not include tax and fees We also paid about $10 for a jumbo popcorn (free refill included) but there were slushies/slurpees, sodas, candy, alcoholic beverages, and even nachos here as well. I'm not complaining about anything... I thoroughly enjoyed the popcorn, movie, and reclining seats in the theater. The women's restroom was also clean and there wasn't a line to use it. Negative remarks: I did notice the movie volume was louder than I would have preferred & a couple employees looked unhappy... but I'll continue going to this theater as long as it's there. read more

Stopped in to watch an afternoon matinee with my son at this westside movie theater located in a strip mall in the Argyle/ Oakleaf area of Jacksonville. Upon arrival, there were very few cars in the parking lot and even less people in the business. We were greeted by a personable young lady who appeared to be the only person manning the front of the business. As such, all drink, snack and popcorn orders appear to be card only - no cash. I am not sure about tickets bc we bought online. Matinee prices are around $10 per ticket online. They do not take American Express credit cards. After entering and picking up some drinks, we made our way to our theater but we had to walk back to the front to the only employee we could find to double check the theater bc the signs were not updated (apparently the night shift guy forgot to do it and no one had remedied it by 2pm). Once in the theater, I noted that my reclining seat had a faux cover on it to cover damage and some seats are even so damaged that you cannot even book them online. The cover kept sliding and had to be adjusted. No complaints about the movie projection or sound as everything worked well. Not a bad place for a movie but a little understaffed and beginning to show some wear and tear. read more

I've gone here a few times since it's so close to home. The concessions are mainly self serve which I kind of like. I love how cold it is in the theater. Almost every time I've gone I've noticed people bring blankets. The seats are pretty comfortable and I like that they are power recliners. As someone with back problems I definitely appreciate that so it's easy to get comfortable for hours while watching a movie. read more

Love not having to wait in long lines to go to the movies! However, it is unfortunate that only a few people work there at any given time and having a question may take some time to get answered. The snack area to get popcorn and drinks is now pretty much attendant-free. Still a great theater after all these years. Always clean. The most comfortable seats, especially since the foot rests come all the way up unlike AMC in orange park. The only complaint I have is some of the seats are worn to the point that there's holes in them. Thankfully nobody was sitting next to us, so we could move over one. But epic really should start fixing this issue. It's a bad look. Other than that, everything is good for movie viewing. read more

This place is great! They serve ALCOHOL.... They have a little pub area. Wow. There is reserved seating, you will always get a decent seat. The chairs are comfy, they recline. They all have a cup holder and the arm rests are wide enough for snacks. The seats are plenty wide enough for those with junk in the trunk... The place is very clean. The food is decent, expensive of course. Soda machine has a good selection. You can buy all sorts of flavors for your popcorn. Not too loud and not too quiet. None of the theaters are crowded at all. This is as close to perfect as a movie theater gets. read more

It offers reserved seating, recliner seating, remote ticketing kiosks, and a lobby bar serving adult beverages in family-friendly environment. Reserved seating with online ticketing. Purchase your tickets online and select your seats. Now, I can come in 15 or less minutes before the movie starts knowing my preferred seats will be available. It's convenient! The leather electronically controlled recliner seating with footrests is pretty epic. It's like having your own la-z-boy. Recline it all the way and it resembles watching a movie in bed. The seats are roomy and comfortable. It's so comfortable, my friend fell asleep in the first half of the movie, Rogue One, a Star Wars story :) read more

They had a Christian movie here called The Ark and the Darkness and it was very good and the theatre was very nice! I do not go to secular movies so it has been many years since I have been to the movies, but this theatre was very nice with large reclining seats and elevation between each row so you can actually see the movie and not other peoples' heads. The popcorn had a deal with frew refills and that was awesome. read more

I was super excited to see Star Wars on the 4K screen. This is a moment I knew I'd never forget. Well, I won't but it isn't because Rogue One is an amazing film. Ugh. I loved this theater until now. So the sound was off. There is no way around it. I wanted to think it was my imagination because come on, I'm in an electric reclining reserved comfy seat. The sound was so slight, like milliseconds off, that it drove me crazy the whole time. Well not the whole time. The movie sounded great for about five minutes and then the sound issues lasted for an hour or more. Maybe some non-audiophiles wouldn't notice but I just couldn't not notice. I tried so hard to ignore the slight delay and the almost airy quality of the voices which were only projecting from the front near the screen. I sat a little further than half way back and directly in the middle. Perfect location right? Well it ruined the movie for me and because Star Wars is such a big deal for me I just left all sad and didn't even try to talk to the staff. I might not go back again. read more

This theatre is very nice, the seats recline too! The theatre is perfect for the neighborhood in Oakleaf. I always see the parking lot full. It's cost extra to purchase your ticket online though but picking up is extremely fast! The theater is always clean when I visit. If you plan on going here buy your tickets in cash . I had to refund my tickets because I got extras by accident and I'm still currently waiting going on to 2 months for 4 ticket refunds . I've called multiple times to remind them and They even said they can't give me a gift card with the refund (that they owe me) to at least still go with them to watch movies . Most I can do is email cooperate and if they haven't emailed me about my refund yet what helps me trust they will get back to a regular email . Honestly never been more disappointed and wouldn't be surprised if they do absolutely nothing and I don't get my refund back . read more

We've been here twice. The first time was a month or so ago, the second was Christmas. The ticket price is a little high for the quality of the actual experience. The first trip in it was really warm in the theater. The seats are so low that any time someone got up it blocked our view. This last trip (Christmas) it was hotter. We were in t-shirts and jeans and were drenched in sweat sticking to the seats. The reclining seats are made of some weird suede material that you stick to even without the sweat. They are awkwardly low to the ground and have a strange angle when they recline so it was hard to get comfortable. On top of the uncomfortable temp. and seats there was a shadowy glare across the screen the entire movie. The projection window barely clears the last row of seats and its a HUGE distraction seeing the shadow across the screen. The color saturation of the movie was darker than it should have been and the sound was ear piercing at times it was so sharp and so low other times you could barely make out what was being said. The layout of the screening rooms and training for the projection both seem to need much improvement. The food/drink prices are really high too which is all too common with movie theaters. We got a beer each the first time and tried the "self-serve" this last time. I ended up with tea because all the mr. pibb were out. The staff was helpful but a bit rude (no one likes working on Christmas, i get it). read more

I was really excited to check out this recently opened theater in Oakleaf, and I am very glad I did, because for a smaller theater it is great! The location is convenient and a great alternative to the more crowded AMC Orange Park, they show a lot of popular and nostalgic movies on Wednesdays and Sundays, such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (with Gene Wilder), American Graffiti, Batman (Michael Keaton) and fully reclining seats that are very comfortable and set up so that no one's view is blocked or compromised. When you walk in you will see several full size kiosks with screens that quickly walk you through the process of choosing your film and time, selecting your reserved seating and paying for the tickets that will immediately be printed. Then you can move to the nearby bar to order an adult beverage, walk over to grab popcorn, nachos or one of several other menu items, then head to a cashier to get candy, soda and anything else to make your movie watching a tasty experience. If you could buy tickets in advance through Fandango for this theater, it would be perfect and I would have given it 5 stars. Instead, if you plan a trip there, I recommend going to the theater and purchasing tickets early if possible, then shopping or dining in the area until you are ready to return for the movie. read more

I love, love, love Epic Theatre in Oakleaf! I read about this theater ahead of time on a Facebook group I am in for Oakleaf and I heard a really mixed bag of reviews so I waited all this time since they opened to actually try it. I have to say I am in LOVE. from picking up your tickets and choosing your seats to sitting down in the most comfortable reclining chair with no one read again no one kicking your seat. You don't have to worry about a tall person in front of you because there's a wall right in front of you. The movie was just is clear to see just as great of a sound andand the color was perfect it was just like watching any other movie anywhere else except for I was extremely comfortable and the price I paid was $10 per person which is pretty much the same as I would pay at AMC with a bunch of little kids kicking the back of my seat and talking the entire time. I will only go to Oakleaf epic theater as long as I live here in Oakleaf. I have not one single complaint. The price of a hotdog was five dollars and I know now to just not buy the food there movie theater food is never very good anyway so I will stick to dinner then a movie at epic read more

Epic theatre In St. Augustine is very unpleasant. I paid $100 for myself my sister and 4 children to watch movies as well as popcorn drink and candy. My little 3 and 4 year old nephews were kicked out along with my 6 and 15 year old son due to the smaller ones talking throughout the movie. I've never heard of such a thing and the supervisor didn't seem to care that they were children. I am aware that it may have been an frustrating for everyone but there needs to be a better policy in place for little kids. We went to a 6:00 movie so I didn't think it would be a problem. I will NEVER spend my money there nor will I reckoned them again. I will be telling everyone that will listen to go some where else who cares about everyone not just a certain group or color!
