Went to see Moana 2 with my wife and son. It was an amazing experience! The chairs were extremely comfy and the theater well kept.

Love the Tuesday $6 movie special! I've been going to this theater for about 4 years now and have never had a bad experience with cleanliness or service. Maybe 2 times where a chair won't recline but the staff has had no problem reassigning my seat and they seem quick to block it out and get it repaired! They have a rewards program to provide $5 back for every $100 spent and/or free ticket after 10 visits. They have one Epic XL theater if you prefer a REALLY big screen! I would say overall it was an "okay" experience. The workers seemed to be angry and rude for some reason. The girl didn't even check my ticket & the dude at the register seemed pissed that he had to ring up popcorn. The seats were comfortable and they do recline, but out of the three seats, one was severely ripped and since we were wearing shorts, the leather/ fake leather peeled up and exposing the seat was really annoying to deal with for over an hour. Speaking of, they do have assigned seats so we reserved ours in advance. I don't think it was an amazing experience and it wasn't exactly horrible, but it could have been better for the amount of money I spent. read more

This place is off the hook my kid and I went for the first time to see Endgame. The people where very nice the food expensive. Electric recliner's where off the hook sound was not over baring Great time was had. This may not be new but you can stop at the bar and have drinks while eating for your movie. Great place! Interesting in that you have to select your seats in advance but makes it easier when you get inside. The food was more like a quickie mart, you get all your stuff from various refrigerators and machines and then you check out at the counter which we had it superfast. Since the drink machines are outside of the vending area I assume that there are free refills. I saw something about free refills on popcorn although that didn't happen for us. I really like those comfy chairs however you can I want to bring a pillow because of the angle of the screen. I was really happy that it wasn't 61° in there. I'm so tired of movie theaters where you freeze your butt off. This one was comfortable. The electric reclining chairs recline to whatever level you want them to it's not just up or down. The prices aren't cheap, but it's worth it when you want a awesome movie going experience. Assigned seating is great because your seat it yours alone. They serve beer and wine(need I say more?). The place needs to be a little cleaner, the staff needs to be a little friendlier and more helpful. It used to be nicer.

We absolutely love this theater, been going there regularly for 3 years. There has only ever been one issue that was not handled well at the theater. I submitted the concern via their website at 10 pm and received a call back from a manager the next morning with a genuine apology. He further went on to say that they definitely missed the mark on this one, and told me his plan to make it right and made sure that resolution was acceptable to me. Epic theaters response to my issue far exceeded my expectations.. this is the best customer service I have ever received !!!! Came out to for a couples outing to see Avengers Endgame!! My first time coming here and the experience was very cool. The staff was great and most importantly the seating was BOSS!!! reclining seats and plenty of space not to disturb your neighbor or for them to disturb you. It's a little far from home but it's worth the ride. Had a great time with our group and watching the movie for the second time in 3 days! read more

Very nice theatre. Nicest near OP/Middleburg. Relaxing recliner chairs. Clean. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. Upon walking in, a bit of a maze, you don't hand in tickets or show until you walk back towards theatre. There is a small seating area if waiting for your party. Bar is on site as well. read more

I can't speak on much of the other rooms except for the XL room. Man what an experience. If you haven't tried it, spend a few extra bucks and do so because it is worth it. The theater is still fairly new so it's fair to expect it to be clean which it is. Staff was nice, well at least to us although I could question what they were thinking of the intoxicated someone I was with. Speaking of intoxicated they do have alcohol and although the price was a little high, it's a bargain compared to what you have to pay for popcorn and soda. Last comment was said in a meaner way to the poor girl at the counter by the intoxicated person. Any-who, the assigned seating could be a pro and con. Con on our end, we selected seats basically in the middle of the theater. The room was basically empty and by empty I mean out of the 150 seats(guesstimate) there, there were maybe 10 that were occupied so we had the whole row to ourselves that was until.... The movie started and a family of 10 came in and sat where? You guessed it, right next to us. Not the movie theater's fault but I'm sure these people wanted company because all they could do was talk. Anyways, we will be back. Probably when the movie starts this time and get some seats away from everyone because I like to stretch my arms out and not have a conversation with strangers while I'm watching a movie. read more

Updated to 5 stars. Haven't had the phone/chatter/kid thing happen since that visit. Love this theatre. Only place we go now. Great theater, super comfy reclining lounger chairs, price is reasonable. My only critique is that maybe since it's such a nice relaxed atmosphere people let their children act like they're at a drive-through movie. They are loud, people talking, people on the phone, people playing with their cell phones, no usher in sight. Might be a more grown-up experience in a non-PG movie. Still think it's an awesome theater and will be back. read more

This movie theatre is very very clean The tickets are a little extra because the seats all recline, it's a very comfortable movie experience! I've seen a couple movies here and will miss living down the street from such a nice and clean theatre. We love coming here for all our movies- we even drive the extra minutes and pay the few extra dollars to come here as opposed to closer, cheaper theaters. It's nice how the seating is set up with the recliners and the reserved seating. It's always clean and the staff is generally polite. I don't ever notice the picture or the sound quality being horrible so that's probably fine, too. The food is pretty normal for movie theaters- not any better or worse than any other theater I've been to. One soda and two hot dogs were about the same price as two matinee tickets. I mean...we all know movie food is over priced, but it's starting to get comical. read more

I've only been here a few times since it opened but I would choose it over any other theater in the area. Every time I come here I leave saying I need to make time to come more . It's my favorite because of the recliner chairs , I have lower back issues so the seating for more than an hour for me is important also it is the cleanest movie theater in jax!!! This is one of the newer theatres on the Westside. You go in and either go to one of the touchscreen kiosks or to the person at the front to buy your tickets for the movie you're seeing. At the touchscreen you get to pick your own seat, which is an advantage or disadvantage, depending on how you look at it. Then there are the refreshments, all laid out at different stations so it makes it easier to pick what you want to snack on during the movie. This theatre to me seems nicer than the AMC 24 at the mall, as it is newer and further out off the beaten path. The recliners in the theatres are a plus. And I'm looking forward to seeing a movie in the XL theater which I have heard good things about. Some of the seats may have popcorn from the last people in the seats at the last movie, but I'm not really here for total cleanliness - just here to watch a good movie. The staff is nice, friendly, very responsive and very helpful, too. EDIT: The movie I saw tonight, Aladdin, was not in the XL theater, but in a regular one. But it was in Real D 3D! Can't go wrong with that, being that it's a Disney movie after all. Maybe next time. read more

I have been going here for years the last two times I went were definitely interesting experiences... The first time I saw multiple large roaches in the theater. I was assured they were calling an exterminator and they only have been seen in that specific theater. The second time I went I was racially profiled and the workers demanded to see my ticket and insinuated I did not pay for the movie that I was in. Overall epic is a mid movie theater. read more

We went to see Antman and the Wasp at a 5:30 show on a Wednesday. There were probably less than ten people in the theater which was great; we didn't have to worry about those horrible movie ruiners. The size of the room was almost like a personal viewing room but the sound and screen were still high quality. The theater was clean as it always is. This is my go to for a must see movie. read more

They're comfy, they recline, and the theater is never too hot or cold so you don't wind up sweating in the seat. The staff is generally nice but largely unhelpful. They don't stand out in any particular way. They don't ask if they can offer advice on purchases, inform you of deals--they only try to upsell, which is fine but at least give some incentive to go a size up on my popcorn. The food and drink options are atrocious. You have two choices--diabetus or a flavorless movie. other theaters have abundant sugar free options however this is not one of those theaters. They have the usual theater fare, popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, and pizza but not a single option that won't land me two steps closer to a heart attack. My purchase of 3 tickets and 2 drinks would be increased to another drink and a bag or two of nuts if they had the option. I mean, some almonds to snack on would be fantastic. Unfortunately, I can't bring my own because they have the authority to check our bags and pockets upon entry. I got an unsweetened iced tea and then looked for some form of artificial/low calorie sweetener--nope, not here! I asked and was told simply, succinctly, and mildly rudely, "No". Sadly, I'll continue to come here solely for the seats but next time I'll have something to eat prior to settling down in the only part of the theater worth the ticket price. read more

I wasn't sure when Epic opened in Oakleaf that I was going to be willing to pay an extra couple bucks for the added luxury. I was wrong. My wife and I absolutely LOVE Epic. The seats are super comfortable and there isn't a bad seat in any theater. This is my favorite theatre I have been too out here. I love every aspect of the movie experience here. First the ticket process is seamless. You can see a representative or just buy your own on one of their user friendly kiosks. They do have alcohol, so I thoroughly enjoy some wine with my movie (don't judge). The food is conveniently locates and line never seems to be long when I go. They have the IMAX experience or regular theatres both are solid choices. Chairs are extremely comfortable and there is ample space to allow for spreading out. The best part is there is enough space for people to get by without you having to adjust your chair. The sound is crisp screen is clear. The only complaint is I can't use fandango or American Express but thankfully my go to card is a Mastercard. read more

Theatre is clean every time we go. We tried this theatre years ago since it was closer than the place on Wells RD and it was phenomenal. I enjoy the reclining seats, but I love that you pick your seat when buying the ticket. I always hated not knowing how full it would be or IF you could find 4 seats together at AMC. Not an issue at Epic. If it is "too full" for us, we just pick a different showing that suits us better. The employees are helpful and polite. We rarely go beyond popcorn and a coke, but they do have beer options that pair nicely with an adults' night out. It's a movie theater, so of course the food/drinks are going to be high. Overall, I would go out of my way for this theatre and haven't been to any other in many years. read more

Went to watch Thor. It was a matinee so it wasn't crowded at all. Just a nice day date with the wife. Seating is very comfortable with the reclining seats. They sell alcohol too which is nice. I always go back because it's conveniently located close to my house. I do recommend it. read more

Love this place! Finally a movie theater close by without having to fight that Blanding Blvd traffic! I've never experienced a movie theater where you choose your seats in advance. It can work in your favor or not, depending on if you get there with enough time to reserve a good seat. The popcorn always tastes fresh and I like how there's multiple cashiers to check out at. The best part about this place though is the comfortable reclining chairs. I've seen folks bring small blankets into the theater too, great idea if you get cold. read more

I've got to admit that I was skeptical of going to a movie theater on the west side of town to see War Dogs with friends from work. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to the west side, but I figured I'd play along this one time. I'm glad I did because this theater is quite impressive and I had a great time. Convention goes out the window immediately here because there is no box office. You walk in and there is a greeter who will walk you through the process of using gigantic LCD screen kiosks to choose your film. We'd purchased them online so she took our sheet, scanned it and was super friendly too. The set-up for concessions is so streamlined it's like a cafeteria. Walk past the product you want and an employee gives it to you as you move down the aisle to the checkout person. Popcorn, nachos, hotdogs and such in one area, candy at the end with the checker. Since we were the only people in the lobby our friends checked out in literally under 30 seconds from picking up the popcorn. The auditorium is beautiful. Huge recliners that allow you to really stretch out, great sound and picture too. Seriously, this place is quite beautiful. Oh, and see War Dogs, it's a great flick. read more

Where to even start with this place. The food was pretty much all sold out (middle of the day) so I go the rock hard soft pretzel and cold cheese. The seat were very comfy but I think if they weren't dirty or if old food wasn't stuffed in the seems, they would of been better. The screen was nice and the sound was good. This is a great theater. Probably the nicest one in Jacksonville right now. It's modern and new and beautiful. The screens and sound are excellent. I have no complaints. Other then, they need to go the extra mile while they can, with Oakleaf growing, and expand and make themselves a movie cinema grill where you can have a complete dinner and drinks with a waiter.
