I just moved to Jacksonville, Florida as you know it's hot. I came to see the new DeadPool, we got tickets then when checked in I would personally acknowledge a big problem to the guest but they failed to. The AC was broke. Just imagine sitting in a sold out show in Florida with the AC broken. Sounds pretty much like blood sweat and tears. About 1/4 through the movie, I went out and asked for the manager, I was getting a run around saying yea we know we are working on the issue now. Talked to 3 people but the manager would never show his face. This isn't acceptable to be honest. The management team should have had someone come out from their team and talked to me. Not pass it along with the staff. Pretty much after spending money on food, drinks and such we spent about $120 to sweat and be miserable while watching the movie. If I was managment I wouldn't have sold tickets to that show at that time. I was in if I remember correctly room 12 E7 seat which I was occupying chair didn't work I told them about it and they said they are going to get someone to fix it. So today I have this AMC another chance. We all came to see the new Beetle Juice, 9/10 times when I come to the movies AMC I get their special drinks, you know the $17 dollars ones which should always be made with top shelf alcohol. I got 2 SANDWORM SLAYER from MacGuffins® Bar, that should be made with Grey goose or Belvedere. I seen him pour Absolute Vodka, far from the other two quality and cost. He said they were out. Well whoever is in charge of ordering the alcohol when you know you have a good release coming out that requires a certain 2 liquors maybe order more. So I paid for a well med drink for $17 each. The biggest plus for this location is the seats are pretty comfortable. My husband and I went tonight to see a movie and the theater was incredibly warm which definitely ruined the experience. Like others have pointed out since it's attached to the mall parking can be an absolute nightmare. I recommend going a little bit early since parking can sometimes be a challenge especially on busy days. We have gone on busy nights and it seems like kids and teens run wild and there is little security presence which makes us uncomfortable. Thankfully we don't see movies often but it's not a horrible choice but definitely wouldn't be my first choice for a good experience. *Pro tip Fridays right across from the theater has happy every hour with I think six drinks to choose from for $4!! read more

I visited AMC on a Thursday night with my husband for the new Spider-Man premiere in the Dolby theatre. We arrived right on time with digital tickets and had no issues. Didn't get a chance to grab popcorn due to the long line. The seats in the theatre were comfortable and they recline which is nice. Overall, we had a nice experience, the quality of the theater is great. The restrooms were not the cleanest but I would return to this theatre. read more

I was not too pleased with the experience of visiting AMC Orange Park 24 last Saturday. I've been to this establishment several times and have not seen it so run down. The things that bothered me were: my husband here without replying back all the way to where mine was, our shared cup holder was filled with some oily substance, the carpet on the walk to the theatre was dirty, there was a sticky substance on my left armrest, the employee who went in the clean before we were allowed in was literally in there all of 30 secs with her broom and sweep can, etc. The positives: the lady who took our stubs and the lady who served us nachos/large drink were nice. The audio during the movie was on point. read more

Went to the Yellowstone preview special here last night. Was super excited to get to see the premiere episode two weeks early. Was amazed by the number of police officers that now patrol the mall area. Almost as amazing as the number of unattended teens who roam the area. When I left for the night and smelled the marijuana smoke in the exit, I knew why there were so many officers. The theater is set up with on-line ordering so you can order and reserve your seat online and let the staff scan your app/ order. Will not go back. As far as the theater went, my seat was broken and would not recline all the way (theater 13/ J13). The picture for the special showing was fuzzy and many viewers complained about it. read more

I had stopped coming to this theater for two reasons: they didn't have recliners like Regency did and it was too far away. But desperate times call for desperate situations. By now I had already knew that they had recliners but DANG! Where these seats have a touchpad to operate the seats and it gives you more of a recliner-feel to it whereas Regency has oversized-cushiony seats. It's a trade-off. We wanted to see Black Panther at the last moment and Regency was booked. We were able to find a bunch of open seats for a late-night showing here which doesn't make sense to me but I didn't worry about that. We got over there in 30 mins, found a parking spot fairly close to the entrance, and walked in. I didn't realize that I bought tickets for the Dolby theatre, but there we were surrounded by speakers and a projector with a super clear picture with brilliant color. The movie was awesome and everyone was well behaved. I'd definitely come back after this experience. It was well worth the drive. read more

I like the arrangement of the seating in the actual theaters and that the arm rests are movable, I'm not crazy about the material they use for the seats, but they are not terrible. The best part is the price. It only cost a little over $5 to go see a movie before 12:00 noon for everyone (I believe) everyday. Me and my mom went to see a 11:45am movie on a Friday. The ticket guys were very friendly and they have a ton of movie theaters inside with great choices of times and genres. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. The parking is super easy because it's at the mall. So overall, I highly recommend AMC Orange Park 24 because of my many experiences here. I know I will be back time after time because it is so convenient. :) The only things I would change are the material they use for the seats and maybe adding a second concession area for the back theaters as they are pretty far to walk rom the main concessions and mid-movie, no one wants to miss too much. I would not recommend going on Friday nights or the more popular times. I recommend early shows during the weekdays. read more

Function VS Fun. This movie theatre does the job. AMC Orange Park movies have 24 theatres, providing average comfort. Sound quality is o.k. Imax experience is available. Theatre snacks are what you'd expect at the price points parallel to other large chain theatres. Why 3 stars? it's not a fun experience. Some of the self serve ticket kiosks work, some don't. Sometimes the Guest Service attendant is present, sometimes she's not. Sometimes the bar tender makes the drinks correctly, sometimes they're too strong. Sometimes there are napkins available, sometimes they are not. All of the SOMETIME'S NOT scenarios were present yesterday. In addition, the Imax glasses were terribly smudged. Main female restroom was under construction. 7 young people in the back row ran up and down the steps throughout the movie. Condiment area needed to be cleaned. The fella who checked the ticket stubs at the entrance was super polite and smiled. I appreciated you smiling. Thank you. (9/3/16) If the theatre had your attitude and a dose of Zoloft, it might become a fun experience. read more

This is our "go-to" theatre in Jax and we go quite often. Hubby and i are both huge movie buffs, so we take in as many as we can in the theatre. We are also huge fans of AMC and it is always our preferred theatre no matter which city we happen to be in. As others have stated, this theatre is attached to the Orange Park Mall and parking can definitely be a nightmare! We generally park at Dillard's and walk through the mall to the theatre. Reason being, it's easier to walk through the air conditioned mall than the blazing hot Florida sun! However, pay attention to when your movie ends because if it ends after the mall closes and you park at Dillard's, you'll have to walk around the entire outside of the mall to your car. It's not necessarily a bad area of town, but I never feel safe walking a practically deserted parking lot in the middle of the night, even with my 6'5" husband by my side. Just too many crazy people in the world nowadays! We generally go to the matinees during the weekdays. Even during the summer, there are no crowds to speak of and ticket prices are only $5 for a regular movie. There are extra fees if you are seeing a movie in 3D or in IMAX. The times we do go on the weekends or to a first showing of a new movie, it is complete chaos here. Hoards of people and teenagers galore! The reason I removed a star and didn't give this theatre 5 stars is b/c during these chaotic times, they don't have enough staff to keep up with properly cleaning the theatres between showings, nor do they keep the restrooms clean. You'll likely find sticky floors in the theatres and find yourself wiping popcorn from the seats. When we were just there last week on opening day of The Lone Ranger, I went into the restroom after the movie and have never seen it in such poor condition. The toilets were atrocious and there was so much standing water in some of the stalls it was an accident and lawsuit waiting to happen. I informed them at Guest Services and hopefully they did something about it immediately. Lines at the concession stand do get very long during peak times, so plan accordingly. We've never had to wait at the concession long during the weekday matinees. The bar is quite nice. While food/drinks at the concession are obscenely priced, alcoholic beverage at the bar are about the same as you'd find at restaurants. They also do a really strong poor, so it's a nice drink. A few weeks ago, I was standing at the bar with my husband while he was getting a drink and noticed I was holding my bottle of water I walked in with. I mentioned to the bar tender how surprised I was they let me walk in with it. He told me that management had told them not to say anything to people anymore about bringing in bottled water. So, from what I gather, bringing your own water in shouldn't be a problem. If it is, ask to speak to a manager. I highly recommend the AMC Stubs reward program if you see more than a few movies a year. They charge $12 a year, but IMHO, it's more than worth it. For every $100 you spend at the theatre (tickets, concessions, bar), you receive a $10 credit. You get free upgrades on popcorn and sodas at concessions (purchase a small popcorn and they upgrade to a medium. Purchase a medium and they upgrade to a large, etc.). Also, I'd like to thank Naomi B. for letting me know that as AMC Stubs Members, we can purchase our tickets via fandango.com and have the surcharge waived. We are then able to pick up our tickets from the kiosk behind the ticket counters and not have to wait in line. I have found the quality of sound and screen to be excellent in all the theatres. I cannot rave enough about the IMAX theatre. If there is a movie in IMAX, you can bet hubby and I will be there to see it. There is no better way to experience a movie than in IMAX! If you haven't had this experience, then GO! Customer service has always been good here. Employees are courteous and friendly. read more

This theater has been here forever! I'm glad to see they have remodeled it! The leather reclining seats seem to be the norm at most theaters now; maybe a justification for the cost of tickets?!? Maybe they were having a special but you could get a large popcorn and soda for $9!) I must say I was a little surprised the security to enter the theater....check the purse (so I asked what they were looking for so I could get for them...candy bar, soda, booze, no just weapons which I only have nail clippers so we were good) but then we were wanded! I asked if all movies had this and he said no, some hire extra security which gets you checked more! Interesting. People next to us said they understood this considering the way it is now????? My go to theater. I am here about 2-3 times per month. Ticketing: They have a walk up ticket booth. The cashiers are always friendly. Inquiring about discounts such as military, senior etc before you purchase. If you use moviepass, they ensure you have checked in properly so everything works out. There are also automatic screens off to the side where you can purchase. I've often purchased online, skipped the window line and picked up my tickets at the booth. You select your seats when you purchase your ticket. The newer releases sell out quickly so I recommend going 1-2 hrs before the show, grab your tickets and go to one of the close restaurants before seeing your show. AMC $5 Tuesday tickets. Early shows are about $5, later in the day are around $9 then evening are $12, more for Imax ($13-$15) and Dolby ($10 - $16.) Viewing Options: This theater has standard, IMAX and Dolby screenings. They have frequent viewings of the popular films as well as many theaters of different sizes. Seating: Seats in this theater are reserved seating. You select your location when you buy your ticket. This helps the issue of looking for seats once you get in. You know where you are suppose to be. The standard and dolby have reclining seats with feet rests. The recliners are slightly different in style. The IMAX at this theater does not recline yet. The standard seats are red pleather love seats with an armrest between the seats. It contains cup holders and lifts up so you can snuggle with someone or stretch out if no one has the seat next to you. I often book an emptier movie and spread out across two seats. Concessions: They have your typical concession stand with popcorn, candy sodas, slush drinks etc. The drinks are fountain style. They also have a bar that sells alcohol and special cocktails. Reasonable priced around $10 each. Parking: Located at the Orange Park Mall, huge parking lot. No issues with finding a spot. You may just have to walk a bit. My only issue with this theater is that the bathrooms can be a mess. Paper towels and toilet paper all over the floor. read more

We frequent here quite a bit, usually 2-3x a week. We did sign up for stubs premiere two years ago, liked it so much after the first year we decided to sign up again. It's worth it. You get free stuff on b day, Skip the lines, get discounts on tickets and also concessions. Tuesday's are $5 for everyone- stubs or not. Matinee is cheap also throughout week! Recliner chairs don't go all the way back but are better than the original chairs. read more

Wasn't too happy with the service. For a weekend that was going to be packed because of a new movie that came out, there didn't seem to be enough staff. My fianceé and I got tickets and saw a huge line to one side of the wall and guess it was for The Hunger Games movie. So we used the restroom and when we walked up, the line was gone. As we walked up, the sectioned off area was closed and our movie with the time was on there. We tried to talk to a staff member (a young lady cleaning) and tried to talk to her from the line and she completely ignored us and walked in the other direction. There was NO other staff member in the back area of that movie theater. Another family was just as confused as we were when we explained we had seen a line, but weren't sure if our line was the one that headed in or the movie time before us. We sat there for a bit because the theater said "Cleaning" and a CUSTOMER told us the theater was already open (thanks btw). The theater got packed pretty fast. Seats were okay, not the most comfortable, but I like that the armrests lifted up. read more

What more could you ask for a theatre with the big soda machine with all the flavors your heart desires to the section for your popcorn where you can put as much butter as you please (just try not to clog an artery please). To the reclining seats and get this, they're still under renovation to make the place even greater than it already is. I honestly haven't had that much interaction with the staff but I can say when a show was sold out they were very helpful in allowing me to exchange my ticket for a different time. There was no hassle, no wait here and let me get the manager, or even per our policy blah blah blah. That I really appreciated. This is truly the one place I don't mind making the trip for and once you've been here you won't either. read more

This AMC theater is the closest theater to my house and a super convenient short drive. It is a solid theater. Positives: reclining seats. Their specialty Dolby theater has the best color I have seen in a theater in recent memory. Go watch a movie in Dolby (4k) if you want the best picture quality or if you want the notice every detail (slightly better than Cinemark XD in my opinion) Negatives: they have imax but unfortunately it is not the top of the line authentic IMAX (think 70mm film or imax with lasers with true dimensions). Essentially, it does not have the true dimensions of imax which if you were hoping to watch new movies like endgame in all of its glory, you still miss out because the top and bottoms get cut off. Dolby has better quality (4k vs imax 2k) Their theaters are smaller than the theater I usually go to (Tinseltown). The leg room is also a little more limited compared to Tinseltown at least in the dolby. You get full recline, but if you need to get out be ready to run into people's legs. Tinseltown had the luxury of being its own building separate from a mall and so have a bigger facility and as a result more room to walk around reclining chairs. Finally, I am not very impressed with their concession prices. 7 bucks for regular popcorn and 8 bucks for a large popcorn are steep. There is no small popcorn option either. All in all, I come here for convenience and for Dolby (slightly better picture quality but smaller screen compared to Cinemark XD screen). For everything else I go to Cinemark Tinseltown read more

I went to go see the movie "Freaky" with my dad yesterday night. We come here every Tuesday to get the great movie deals, and it's also not crowded so it's nice. Sadly this time we went it wasn't the best experience. We got to our theatre (4) and noticed that our seats (C3 & C4) were completely covered in a sticky mess which covered 3-4 seats. My dad sat in it so it got all over his cloths and his hands. I went to tell someone about the mess. They immediately sent someone to come and clean it with this nasty cleanser. He sprayed some type of cleanser that came out of a metal can. I asked him if they cleaned in between shows, he replied that they usually do but they must have missed this row (there's only 5 rows in this theatre...). Come to find out, this was the first showing that night, so that mess had been there since the night before. We sat through the rest of the movie while breathing in fumes of what I can only describe as sunscreen and metal. We usually have a great time, but come on, we're in a global pandemic. This mess was obvious to anyone who walked by the area. It's hard to see the soda but I included a few pics to help. read more

Went to see a movie with some friends tonight. Evening showing of Captain Marvel in the Dolby special theater. Service was top notch. I was able to find parking pretty close to the entrance and the lines weren't long. Prices aren't terrible and are better than some of the other local theaters. Seating was wide open but it also was a Wednesday night. Not a super popular time to go see a movie. The seating itself in the theater was super comfy. The interface for the reclining feature was a bit difficult to figure out at first in the dark but it's a pressure pad little touch screen that lights up when you apply enough pressure to one of the buttons and performs whatever movement your inputting. Sound quality was superb and the film itself was 7.5-8/10 in my opinion. The other viewers were super courteous and we experienced no issues. I'll definitely be returning to see more movies here. read more

The reason this gets a three star review is two things. Number one, they have an absurd rule about not having infants after 6pm to a rated R movie. If my baby is asleep, and will never remember the movie in the first place, what does it matter?? It won't affect her or her future. It's an inconvenience for parents who don't have baby sitters and I don't see AMC paying or providing for one. The second reason is that it's always messy. Especially the concessions area and over by the drink station. I've worked at a movie theater and it was never that messy. Anytime there was a spill it was promptly cleaned. Maybe there's a difference between Orlando and Jacksonville but it is what it is. read more

As the closest big movie theatre to me, I frequent the Orange Park AMC a bit. I've gone to a number of midnight openings and late night shows. It's usually my favorite time of the day to be there. Not as many people (unless it was the Harry Potter midnight showing), and you can usually get right in to your seat. I've gone to a number of movies on my own here and have never felt unsafe. A few pointers. Don't stand in that tumultuous line. Get your tickets before you leave the house or at the kiosk (they are directly behind the ticket counter!). Do not bet on getting a parking spot in front of the theatre if you go anytime before 8-8:30 pm. This theatre also accepts military discount, but makes it a bit harder on customers now. You used to be able to show your ID at the ticket stand and get your discount there. Now, you have to buy your tickets at ITT at NAS Jax or Mayport before even arriving at the theatre. I feel that this is a definite step down in service. read more

You literally could not pay me to come back to this theater. I'm sorry. We went to a opening night showing of a new movie and tried out the IMAX theater. When we walked in, I nearly walked out at that first moment. The theater was NOT cleaned. There were still boxes and wrappers from previous guests, the floors were disgusting and sticky and there was popcorn in our seats. The seats, by the way, are outdated and filthy and do not recline. The cup holder also doesn't move. It's just a bad experience all around. The screen itself has scratches all over it, which are very distracting to the eye when you are trying to watch a film. What made me feel uneasy was leaving. I wouldn't walk alone at night into that parking lot with the groups that seem to hang out by this entrance. read more

Love this theater. I'm a Stubs A-List member and go to see a movie here frequently. Absolutely love the ability to select seats when getting tickets. $5 Tuesdays are great for the whole gang to go see a movie on a budget. Be sure to ask for the $5.00 deal at the concession counter too on Tuesdays. You get a small drink and small popcorn. You have to ask for it and it's only on Tuesdays. Seats are very comfortable and like the roomy size. Love the seat up with no heads in front and plenty of room for people to get out for a potty run without disturbing everyone in their path. My only complaint is sometimes the volume is a little on the low side. read more

Been a big movie at this theater for many years. I am a Stubs member so I can earn free stuff and take advantage of their great coupon I get in my email whenever possible! The seating is great with the ability to raise the armrest for those of us that are Fluffy in size or that like a little more room between us and others. If I had to complain about anything, it would of course be the insane prices of the concession , which is why I usually eat lunch or dinner at one of my favorite spots before heading to the movies! read more

This theatre is clean and well-maintained with comfortable stadium seating and plenty of room for wheelchairs, motorized chairs, and strollers (if desired). The sound system leaves a lot to be desired, much popping and sound level loss during movies, luckily only background music/noise and not conversation/speech. Since it is located adjacent to the Orange Park Mall, parking can be a nightmare. A good tip at nighttime would be to park on the Sears side and walk around to the entrance, then use a rear exit when leaving to be closer to your vehicle. read more

I'm not a huge fan of this theater but I've made two recent trips and both were enjoyable. In case you can't do without a beer during the movie, there is now a bar where customer service used to be. My last visit we saw a late movie and got out after midnight. Half of the parking lot didn't have lights on. I'm glad I wasn't walking alone because it was creepy out there in the dark and we high tailed it to the car. Right now most of the employees are wearing orange eyeball headbands to promote the new movie Turbo. Those glasses are cute and my inner toddler wants to snatch a pair, scream "Mine!" and take off running. Maybe if I ask nicely next time I can finagle a pair. read more

I am a fan of AMC24! This particular location could use a few improvemnts. MAINLY on cleanliness. Especially, in the restroom department. An upgrade is definitely in order. The movie ticket kiosks are sooooo gross! I opt to stand in line because the kiosks are that dirty. They should send someone out with Sani-wipes to clean them every few hours.
