Beer popcorn & a movie for dinner lol
    Alicia H.

Ok I never go to the movies, but despite this theatre being somewhat new it had a couple of negs. 1) the movie was late starting and no one from the theatre informed us. Another patron ended up leaving the theatre to find out what was happening. 2) the seats share a cup holder and armrest with your neighbor. It made it awkward sitting next someone I didn't know and I felt like I was bothering her everytime I reached for my drink. Every seat should have 2 individual armrests and more space in between. (Maybe some seats can be designated as cozy ones). 3) bathroom trash was overflowing. Otherwise the seats were somewhat comfy and even can be heated. I loved being able to reserve what seat I wanted ahead of time and you can order food too. Oh and they have beer and wine! Nothing is better than popcorn and beer for dinner haha!

I love this theatre. It was a wicked kind of afternoon. The theatre is always clean and the staff friendly. I love bars in theaters and reclining chairs with warmth. We saw Wicked in 3D and it was fabulous. The excitement of the young children was fun to watch as they gathered their themed snacks.

This Cinemark has been open a few years and I've seen roughly five movies at this theater. I loved that it was so close to my house. I can drive there in less than 10 minutes. Most recently, I've seen Top Gun and Jesus Revolution. Top Gun was a no-brainer as this movie was one better seen and felt in the theater. I loved how the Dolby speakers made me feel like I was on the aircraft as I felt the engines in my core. The most recent movie I watched was Jesus Revolution. This movie would have been fine watching at home. However, I wanted to support the movie makers with my money in the theater. What an awesome movie! I highly suggest it. I purchased my ticket online the day before so I could get a good seat. I do think it's unfair to charge a fee for purchasing online. After all, I'm saving you money by doing so. Plus, the theater knows I'm coming ahead of time. You can also order snacks online and either pick up at the counter or have your food and drinks delivered to your seat. The reclining seats were lovely and gave me the perception of sitting in my living room. The screen was huge and the sound system was most impressive. I'll absolutely continue watching movies at Cinemark!

We already made plans to have dinner at Atlantic Boulevard and since we are in the area, decided to visit the new location of Cinemark and avail of their buy one get one promo! Yes to BOGO! We bought tickets to watch Free Guy. The place is somewhat similar to the Durbin location but bigger and more spacious plus they have a game room and a lounge. We wanted to order the chicken wings but it was not yet available, so we opted to buy our favorite Chili Cheese fries. Oh my goodness it was a LOT lol! Definitely so much more than the other locations! We enjoyed it! One thing I noticed was that even though all seats can be reclined and have heaters, there is no table to place your food. I guess that would be the major difference of Durbin from all other Cinemarks. Having a table is so convenient when eating while watching a movie. Oh well, it's a good thing we live near Durbin. I just wish Cinemark will have a better offer for their members. Their deals are not as good compared to AMC or Regal.

Clean theater, concessions, and nice relaxing seating. Seems brand new. Enjoyed watching Flash for Fathers Day weekend with my family.

As a matter of fact, I even told my in-laws of my first pregnancy in 1996 at dinner/before a show. I've nothing but fond memories no matter the reason for the visit nor the show that we saw. While my kids were both in elementary school, I chaperoned numerous field trips to the Alhambra, as well! I can remember seeing Winnie the Pooh $ Christopher Robin, in particular, because Pooh Bear was one of my children's favorite character. Most recently, I've visited the theatre with a large group of girlfriends! We had a blast catching up with one another and laughing throughout our meals.... And then throughout the show! I cannot remember a time that I've ever been disappointed with the dinner service, bar service, nor the presentation of the show! The only thing I could possibly complain about is that it typically seems to be ridiculously cold inside! But, lesson learned..... I now take a jacket or sweater with me. Looking forward to many many more dinners & shows at the Alhambra! It is most definitely a MUST DO outing!

Nor did I realize most of the dark rides across the whole world are created and developed here! It was amazing!! The tour was about an hour and was very informative. We asked lots of questions and met people from different departments along the way. Highly recommend booking a free tour and checking this out. It was a bit too far and too expensive for what it was so I decided to do my own research of places he would love, Sally Corporation became the place. I filled out the reservation form online and was told there were no spots available during our time in Florida. I couldn't take no for an answer. I emailed back explaining how much my son wants to be a Robotics Engineer and that we would wait as long as we needed to snag a spot. We got an email back the next day that two spots opened up!!! I'll let the photos from other reviews do the talking, but if you enjoy a good backstory, ask about the history of the space. My mission for the night was simple: end the evening with a great gin cocktail. I started with the Donna Bella from the menu. It was well made, but I thought the bitters were a little too forward for my taste. Next, I asked for an off-menu modification: a Water Lily for Teresa, but made with Roku Gin. It was a strong contender--aromatic, balanced, and beautifully floral. If you're a fan of a French 75, this is a fun cocktail to explore. It's less citrus-forward and leans into a floral profile with a character that's hard to compare to anything else. For the final round, I went with bartender's choice. Mick asked a few questions about my flavor preferences and absolutely nailed it. They crafted a cocktail with Roku gin, snap pea cordial, aloe liqueur, egg white, lemon simple, mint, and citrus that was easily the highlight of the night. Fresh, layered, and memorable, it's a drink that deserves a permanent spot on the menu....Mission accomplished. If you're willing to wander beyond the barbershop business front and you consider yourself a spirit explorer, Volstead is well worth the visit. Go for a round...or two. If you're local, this could easily become your staple spot. For what it is, strong craft cocktail bar option. Bartenders choice is the way to go.

The house band is pretty good, a little bit on the young side, but they seem to get the job done. OK. After the house being played a set, they had a sit in sessions with various musicians, which is always nice. The atmosphere is subtle and quiet at least for a club. Location is great, and the staff seemed friendly. It's good to have a place in Jacksonville with an environment like this and a place where you can go and listen to jazz/blues. I wish there was more like this, maybe with a little bit of older, jazz, musicians and more people who appreciate jazz as it didn't seem like the audience was 100% jazz lovers, but that doesn't detract too much especially since there's not a lot of places in Jacksonville that do what they're doing here.
