RE: Ballerina in 4DX (Prepare to shake, rattle, and roll!) Let me start by proclaiming that if you experience motion sickness or have a bad back, the 4DX experience (specifically for a high action film) is probably NOT for you. You could literally slip a disc. We were shook, rattled, and rolled -- spattered with water (apparently you can turn the water off, but I never figured out how lol), spayed and pelted with air guns, jerked and jolted for the entire duration of the film. Was it a lot? Yes. Was I almost thrown from my chair thrice? Yes. Was it hard to get back into my chair after a restroom break? Yep. Was it difficult to eat my popcorn and drink from a can at some points? Yes. Did we both leave wearing some of our concessions snacks? Yes. Did our car keys shake themselves right out of the hubby's pocket at some point during the film, and we didn't notice until we'd exited and got to the car in the parking lot? Yes. Did we go back inside and find them lodged in the seat? Yes. But, after the shock and confusion of this being our first 4DX experience, did we enjoy it? Also, yes. Not sure how fast I'll come running back for 4DX, but it was certainly a unique movie-going experience, and theater seats are new. Cheers!

Me and my wife went to watch DHURANDER at this movie theatre on Nov 22nd, 2025 for the 1:40pm show. I must say the Theater is very nice and well maintained. As soon as we checked in we went to their food court and ordered their cheese pizza, fries, their large popcorn basket which had Muriel refills along with their large soda. The pizza was cooked well and their crust was thin and perfectly cooked. Then we entered the hall and it was good. The only thing I would say is I wish their seats was more conformable so that it would have been an amazing experience. Anyways it was still nice we had a lovely afternoon. I recommend this place !!!

Regal Avenues is in a bit of a rough patch. The exterior is definitely showing its age. I recently went there to try out the 4DX Experience with the movie Twisters. When I got to the ticket booth outside, there weren't any employees there. But when I walked into the lobby, a friendly employee greeted me and scanned my ticket on my phone. I didn't go to the concessions area, so this review is just about my 4DX experience. Obviously, the experience varies depending on the movie, but with Twisters, I had an awesome time. I wouldn't say 4DX is for everyone, though. The seats move and jolt you a lot more than DBOX seats, and there's wind fog, lightning effects, and even smell effects. I didn't notice the smell effects with my movie, but if you like the movie experience like some theme park attractions, then this might be right up your alley. I had a great time with my movie and would definitely go again to try out another movie in the future!

Stars Wars on a perfect matinee afternoon. Hopefully it lives up to its hype.

7/23/24 Came here for a Tuesday matinee and for two senior adults were around $7.50 each but had I shown my Regal number it could have been $6 on Tuesday! Theater was clean; apparently they have the only theater in Jax with 4D experience which means seat rock, roll, squirt water, snow (?) , air and more and as appropriate for movie! Tickets though are $25 but discounted on Tuesday with acct. We'll have to try it!

Going to see Wonka. We don't get out to movies much. Tickets for the matinee show were 30.00 for two people with tax, etc. Large popcorn and a large Pepsi were $20.00. The popcorn was not fresh, tasted like coconut oil or something and with lots of broken pieces. The seats are normal, as in no recline or comfort of any kind. The facility appeared and smelled clean. This was supposed to have the 4D effects which I did not notice. The movie was a "I should have watched it at home". I expected more. I hated the singing. I did not read reviews prior to going.

We had a blast at the movies! The area was clean, seats were comfortable!! Nice ambiance! A little wait for the popcorn line but it was ok!

My experience with Regal Avenues 4DX &RPX was a very interesting time. My friends and I decided to watch the new Dr. Stange movie, so we booked the last show (11pm) to watch. If you're like me and get a little vertigo on rides, this may not be for you. I felt like I was on an extended fair ride for 2 plus hours. My friends loved it, but it was not my favorite experience. I will say this would be a great experience with kids. I think they would be thrilled to jerk around in the seats and have the wind blow in their faces. I'm sure most people feel emerged in the movie, but I am perfectly content with no motion in my seat. This was my first experience with a 4DX show and it will probably be my last, but I think it's worth trying at least once for the experience. I will say the theater is very nice and clean. The location doesn't have much near it, and parking is good. There is also a bar area to get drinks, but the way those seats move, I would caution on snacks.

Let's go to the movies!!!! To start, Matinee prices here are a little bit cheaper then AMC but more then the early bird at Cinemark. The theater for the most part was clean. The reserve seating was just the regular seats and not the recliners, which was ok but previously going to Tinseltown for the past 2 years I missed them seats. The process to get snacks and drinks took forever. The first time in line with only one person in front of us took 10 minutes and then just to get a refill on popcorn took another 10-12 minutes. We didn't miss any of the movie but walked in 3/4 way into the Advertising. I guess that was a good think with 2 kids. I would give a 3 1/2 star . Parking spots too seem a little small, especially if you have a large vehicle. There are no combo meals as explained they where the same price as a la cart which was a bummer. 2 soda and a large popcorn $25 geeeeees. A combo meal would of been helpful. Sorta forces you to sneak in candy. I would return as the overall experience was good and the theater was not packed.

Ask the Community - Regal Avenues

Do you have reserved seating available?

You can select seats for a showing in the RPX theaters, but as far as I've seen, not for standard or 3D theaters.

As far as I know this movie theatre is the closest to where I live so this is the only theatre I go to in Jacksonville.

The seats are comfortable- large, reclining, and can also be heated (which is a very nice treat during the record cold temperatures outside). The popcorn is always tasty. You can add as much or as little butter as you prefer. There are a variety of other food options as well such as pizza and chicken tenders. You can even indulge with a milkshake or a cocktail! I love that they serve coke products and especially coke icees!! Also, it wouldn't be a theater without a large selection of candy to choose from. Of course I think all movie theater candy is overpriced but it's part of the experience. I especially appreciate the ease of purchasing tickets online and having the opportunity to select your seats ahead of time! It certainly alleviates the stress of worrying about being able to seat your party together and gives you the ability to pick the exact seat you want. Overall, always a great experience at Cinemark Durbin!

The 270-degree panoramic setup with the main screen plus the two side screens made us feel like we were basically inside Pandora. At one point I wasn't sure if I was watching a movie or if Jake Sully was about to ask me to pass the popcorn. Speaking of popcorn: excellent. The pepperoni pizza? Surprisingly legit for movie theater food. And the soda options--so many choices it felt like a soft drink buffet. Major win. The atmosphere was super comfortable. The air wasn't freezing (thank you, Cinemark, for not turning the theater into an Arctic survival test), and the recliner seats were perfect. Even for a long movie like Avatar, we were comfortable the entire time. No back pain, no seat shifting, no regrets. Now, full honesty: there were a few slower parts where you could tell some people were this close to falling asleep. Not because the theater was boring--but because it was that comfortable. If you doze off for a minute, honestly, that's on James Cameron. Overall, fantastic experience. Great food, great comfort, and ScreenX alone is worth the trip. We'll definitely be back--hopefully for something a little shorter... or with caffeine next time.

World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater

Wonderful theater! I simply can't believe I haven't reviewed the IMAX before now…read more It is a huge theater, yet when you enter the lobby it has a small, welcome feel that is nice. The staff is always super friendly and the popcorn is always fresh! For our first 5 years here, my family and I had an annual pass. Such an amazing deal that was! You could get unlimited documentaries and 50% off newly released movies. Plus, you got coupons for free drinks and popcorn. In addition, each member received one free entry to the World Golf Hall of Fame Museum. And there used to be mini golf available that was unlimited as well. We've seen it change over the short time we've lived here and sadly, they don't get the patronage you'd think. From what I understand, from the start they were supposed to have an off ramp going directly to the area...but that changed and it didn't happen, and inadvertently hurt the area from the start. A lot of folks don't even realize there is an IMAX here or anything else. I suppose for most folks it is rather hidden back in the World Golf area. So sad really. The area has so much potential and the theater was one of the main things that was holding on. But they can't hold on anymore. That said, the time is coming very soon for them to close their doors for good. If you haven't checked out the IMAX and want to...you better hurry up! The theater and museum were going to stay open until December, but are now both closing their doors 1 Sep. Check out their website for showtimes. Yes, yes...there is a ton of parking and it's easy to find and a nice walk from any parking lot in the area. If you aren't familiar with the area, then use your GPS. It is a pretty drive back in here as well. Once you get here, you may be pleasantly surprised...it is very pretty. I'm sad Shell is closing this location, but I get it. I surely hope another theater group picks up where Shell is leaving off and reopens this theater again one day. It will certainly be missed!
