Without a doubt the best FBO at KBFL! The facility is VERY nice, everything from the entrance hallway to the signage inside is aviation themed (props used for signage, staircase hand rails, etc) the main lobby is beautiful (2 story ceiling with floor to ceiling windows) and is always kept clean. There is ample seating for multiple travel groups to have their own space. The pilot lounge has nice big comfy chairs and tv for those long waits, quiet room, shower, dedicated restroom, etc. The CSR's are very friendly, the line guys are also very friendly and willing to help all you need is ask! Everyone is a hoot to chit chat with. My favorite part is that they treat the guys in the little planes with the same attention that they give the big dogs in the fancy multimillion dollar jets, that goes a long way with me. I love stopping by I always feel so welcomed when I do, they literally roll out the red carpet! On top of all that, they're usually ALWAYS the cheapest gas on the field! Locally owned and operated so you're not giving your money to some big corporation that doesn't care & you can tell they genuinely appreciate everyone that gives them the opportunity to earn their business. 5 Stars would recommend to any pilot looking to be treated like they're a somebody read more

I was about to go over the Grapevine to LA in my new to me C182, when one of my EGT's redlined, sounding an alarm. I did a quick landing in Wasco to call my A&P, he said it was most likely the probe. Hopped over to Bakersfield to Epic to fuel up, lunch, and decide what to do. It was a really nice lounge! My decision was to rent a car & leave the plane there to make sure it was just the probe. Jason, the A&P there, took care of it. The woman drove me to the main terminal to get a car, then I conveniently left it at Epic for the rental car company to pick up. When I got back from LA a few days later, the plane was good to go with a new probe! Highly recommend, that was somewhat of a stressful situation & they took care of everything for me. Super helpful and friendly staff. Have a shower if you have had a long day or want to get some excercise. Crew car also.

A year ago, 5 stars, now 1. No water bottles for crew, just a crappy machine with tiny cups. Bathrooms dirty, trash overflowing every time. Crew car situation is a joke. They say over the phone they match CAA, but when you get there they don't. New management clearly "saving a buck" at the customers expense. Just use Jet Center or Atlantic. read more

Best FBO in Bakersfield, hands down. I have been to all the FBO's here in town and there is a reason why we have chosen to keep the jet here. This is the newest facility in bako, but that doesnt mean they make you pay for it. Very nice facilities. they have everything you need....very nice lobby, plenty of places to sit and wait, pilot lounge, snooze room, separate restrooms for crew, showers, crew car...everything. the line guys are top notch. they are always on the ball, and do anything you need them to with a friendly attitude. the fuel prices are also great. I think they make a point to be sure they are the cheapest, because they are every time i've taken a look. If you have a choice where to go, whether you are a small single, or a large Gulfstream, this place can handle it and will treat you like you deserve! N525HS read more

A review from March 2010, pretty sure it hasn't changed much. I've been here countless times. It's off the beaten path kind of hidden by the approach end of 30R by a hangar, but well worth the stay. Modern, clean facility, reasonable prices, very friendly/helpful staff. On my last trip I had the plane topped off and was talking with the manager, I looked back and saw lineservice cleaning the windows! Last summer (hot day) lineservice offered to move our aircraft in their hangar to keep it cool, upon departure it was moved back and the plane was cold enough that my passengers asked how it managed to stay so cool? Pilot lounge is top notch, weather computer, and wireless Internet access. The main hallway literally looks like you're walking down the center of a jet, and the attention to detail (actual prop blades are used as signs)... Absolutely the best FBO hands down. As an update there is now a vending machine for all types of drinks, don't forget the coffee station too (good quality, not Folgers). I'll be back again, this place is great. read more

The service here is top notch. They are efficient reasonable, and super friendly. The facilities are clean, cool, and comfortable. Great place to fuel up and pickup passengers. I want to also mention that they are incredibly gracious with letting us use their facility as a meeting point for Pilots N Paws dog rescue flights. They have always assisted with ramp space, a cool lobby to meet the volunteers and even offered to let us use the hanger to load the dogs so the plane would stay cool.
