    Shark in Mickey

I LOVED THIS EXPERIENCE! This was my first scuba diving experience after being certified and i felt so amazing. I got a chance to scuba dice with sharks, turtles, rays and plenty of fish! You're not allowed to bring a GoPro for "the fishes and your safety", but i think they just want to sell you their video. Which is okay. One of the best parts is swimming up to kids looking into the aquarium and meeting their hands. It feels like you make their day! If I'm ever back in Orlando, i would love to do this again.

If you are a certified diver you must experience Dive Quest! Extremely interactive not only with the sea life but with your loved ones who are watching from the outside. To be able to experience the dive without having to dive with my hubby was so amazing! They are closed Monday's, have two dive sessions per day and they also offer a military discount ... An absolutely amazing great time!

Looking out from the tank at our niece and nephew :) Priceless!

My husband and I are advanced water divers and my husband is also rescue diver trained. His mom actually mention this to us last time were visiting Florida and we brushed it off because we thought it would be boring since it was in a man-made fish take (we have been spoiled living out in Hawaii). BUt this time, I convinced him it would be fun, different, and an experience many never get a chance to do. My parents kicked into help on the cost and we made the reservations! The Reservations were easy to make and were given many different options on time (all in the late afternoon/evening). The dive masters who met us outside and then brought us in on a tour were great. They were educated and involved and were able to show us the inner workings of fish tank at Epcot. Once we had the tour, we covered rules, procedures, etc. and changed into our dive gear that they provided which was in excellent shape and well taken care of. You enter the tank off a ledge which makes entry so smooth and nice. You get down there and the dive master guides you around for about 10 minutes....and then you are free to explore. Sea Turtles, numerous sharks, huge fish, and many other little creatures. This dive is amazing because you don't have to worry about much....you can just relax and enjoy the animals up close and personal. The best thing about the whole dive was that my family was able to see us through the glass and my little niece LOVED it!

Anniversaries can be hard sometimes. We're not big on gifts, so I wanted to do something fun. Since we hadn't been Scuba diving in a year, I thought it'd be good to take a trip somewhere as a refresher, but we only had one day to do it in. Enter Disney! Although I used to work at MGM, I'd never had the chance to do Disneys Living Seas scuba dive before. It's in the second largest aquarium in the world, and they let you swim around with their sharks and rays and turtles. And it was really fun! We got a little walk around the backstage area of the living seas and got to see the dolphin and manatee area before changing into our wetsuits. What I really liked about the program was that we didn't need any gear or flippers or anything, so I didn't have to lug our gear into the park. In the water, which was nice and warm to begin with, but felt freezing by the time we were done, we swam a circuit of the tank for the photographer before swimming off on our own. I had asked one of the divers beforehand where a good spot to sit to see the sharks was, so we sat in a clearing and just watched them drift by our faces. The rays came to see us too, close enough to reach out and touch. I suppose the Disney divers feed them in a similar manner, because they seemed really interested in us, and rather disappointed when no food manifested. I love scuba diving because you feel so weightless, and it's such different scenery, it's like you're on another world populated by fish and friendly turtles. It was extra surreal at Disney because a lot of things were fake. The fish were real, but the coral and scenery were just statues. Add to that the crowds of people watching you through the viewing areas in the park, and you felt a bit like a fish in an aquarium yourself. Some of the other divers in our group of five really got into the show part of the dive, and looked like they had a lot of fun waving for the cameras on the other side of the plexiglass. I had more fun with the show that the sea turtles and sharks were putting on. Even though it was a guided dive through an aquarium, it was really well done. It was a three hour tour, and we had 40 minutes in the water, which ended up being perfect for the temperature and amount of air I had in my tank. It was a small group, and the dive masters were really accommodating. I asked one if there was a good place to see the sharks, and she told us just where to wait to get them to come up to us. So we got to swim with some sharks, refreshed our diving skills, and after the dive, they let us go into the park, so we ended the night with dinner in Japan and fireworks!

...and you can count the teeth in the tiger shark's mouth!

This is probably the easiest dive you'll ever do but it will also spoil you. I've dived a lot and been up close and personal with wildlife a few times but on this dive there were giant loggerhead and green sea turtles, sand sharks, black nose sharks, brown sharks, bonnet head sharks, zebra sharks, etc. Because they are accustomed to divers, they get close enough to you to count their teeth! If people are more your cup of tea, the viewing windows offer lots of opportunity to interact with kids (and grownups) who all seem pretty excited to see us bubble blowers in with the sharks. It was a fun dive. 78°, 203 ft visibility, 40 minutes exactly. I was surprised that we dove with 63s instead of 80s but at 28' max depth, there's plenty of air in a 63 to last 40 minutes. Bring your own mask and wrist computer if you like but leave your gear and cameras behind. You must use their gear (in decent shape) and if you want pics, have your family take them from an observation window or pay $35 for their 15 minute video of your dive (which was actually quite good). If you're a certified open water diver, you have $179 to spend, and you're going to be in Orlando, this is something you should plan on doing. You won't regret it.

Yet another hidden gem at Disney where else can you dive the nations 2nd biggest aquarium 6.5 Million Gallons to be exact with 65 different Species of Fish , Sharks, Rays and Turtles. One phone call and a few dollars and it's all there for you to do. Everyone can say they went to Epcot .. you can say you dove Epcot .. Our Tour Lead Chad was Awesome and the whole support crew .. If you ever get the chance take this and do it you'll be glad you did

We have free passes with our Legoland annual pass, so we checked out this place, the Orlando, Eye, and Madame Tussaud's. There was a lot of things to read, I made my older son practice reading by reading a lot of the plaques. There was also some fun interactive screens. And the highlight was a mermaid that was swimming around in the tank that came up to wave at everyone. It must be somewhat common place because we saw the mermaid a couple of times and only in one area where people rushing up to get pictures. The aquarium is broken out into sections, they had quite a few different species. My son also liked the touch tank. Overall, it took us about 45 minutes to get through so it's not a full day thing. If you read more, you could maybe make it last a couple hours, but for young children, I would say about an hour. Parking at icon park is easy. There's a free parking garage that has free parking on the upper levels and pay to park on the lower levels. When we came at about 5 PM on a Saturday there were tons of spots. I don't think this place gets that busy until nighttime.

One of the seahorse is called pork belly seahorse. Sounds like a dish in the restaurant. Just kidding. I also like the decorative stone in the water. Most of them are like South America relics. I also like the touch tank. I got to touch small animal. The visit may take 1.5 hours to complete. There is the Florida residence price. I recommend this visit with kid.

One of them happened to be the mess fest that was going on this past weekend. So we decided to head out to Orlando and let me tell you it was so much fun!! They transformed one of their rooms into a fun place for the kids to get messy. You were catapulting scrunchie balls covered in paint onto a canvas sheet. There was another area where they were doing little bottle rockets with paint and Alka-Seltzer. That my kids absolutely LOVED. They also had scribble bots, a raffle painting for canvas paintings but that's not all because they had other stuff going on different floors. We got to make our own slime and we even got to go outside and watch them use liquid nitrogen to cause a bubbly explosion that the kids got to play afterwards. This was a 10 out of 10 experience.

From the moment we arrived to when we left, everything was really well done. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which set the tone right away. They have a buffet for breakfast and lunch with a good variety of options, so I feel like most people could find something they like. There are also smaller stands with snacks, pizza, and ICEE stations. Now let's talk about the drinks. There is just something about a frozen daiquiri when you're by the water. Highly recommend getting the drink package and trying a few... or all of them if you can handle it. I loved how many different areas there were to explore. Seeing dolphins swimming so close to the beach was actually kind of magical. They also have a monkey island which I was really excited about. It was closed when we got there, but I could still see them from a distance and I loved that. The aviary was really cool too. Tons of birds, but also tons of people. They recommend going first thing when the birds are most active, which we did, but so did everyone else. We got there about 45 minutes after opening and the birds already seemed a little over it. Honestly, I don't blame them. The Grand Reef was such a cool experience. I didn't really know what to expect, and even though it's man made, it still feels really immersive. Some of those rays are huge and have zero fear. They will swim right into you. My guy had never experienced anything like that and he loved it. I also liked that there were shallow areas and deeper sections if you wanted more of a snorkeling feel. The only downside for us was the Wind Away River. There are spots that get deep really fast, and that day they were apparently out of floaties because people were hoarding them and claiming areas. Staff even acknowledged it, which was frustrating because nothing was being done about it. It made parts of the river harder to enjoy than they should have been. Other than that, everything else was great and it made for such a fun day. Also the bar swings were a highlight. Loved those.

Right off the bat, it's just a very different vibe from Walt Disney World. Parking felt like a free-for-all (we got lucky with a close spot), and entry was super basic--scan and go, nothing special. We got there around 3 and went straight to the Orca show at Shamu Stadium, which was actually really good. The park didn't feel too crowded, but ride wait times were still long. This review is a couple weeks late, but we went at the beginning of their annual Seven Seas Food Festival. Those venues did not open until late afternoon, so we ended up eating at one of their restaurants for lunch (which wasn't too bad actually). I had spoken to a rep at customer service who informed me a couple of the perks, as a platinum season ticket holder, that a couple of the perks were not applicable here in Orlando, such as no allotted free guest passes. I was told we could transfer our passes to Orlando, but the cost would be twice as much then our "great deal" passes from San Diego (we passed of course). The park listed the hours of operation until 8pm, but they were closing everything, except the gift shops of course, at 7pm; thus we did not get to go up in the Sky Tower to watch the sunset. A custodian employee working that area was kind of dumbfounded that nobody (other employees) was there as well. I planned to give this visit a 2 star rating (could've been better), but opted for 3 (OK) because we did enjoy a couple of shows and the Expedition Odyssey ride. BTW, there are a couple bars that actually have a 'happy hour' but it is not advertised. We were only informed of this by the guest services employee who volunteered the 411.

Gatorland was started in 1949 by Owen Goodwin as a 1/2 day Family Attraction. It has since grown and now the Park has over 100+ Gators including a few albino's. Since I last visited the Park in 2018, Gatorland has added a Zipline with 5 lines which zip over Gators. This was an absolute MUST DO! The 2nd favorite thing I LOVE doing, is feeding the parakeets aka budgies You can purchase a bundle of popsicle sticks with peanut butter at one end rolled in bird seed. The Birds will flock to You and start eating. You can actually feel their "tootsies" on your skin and they are very warm. You can purchase Turkey hotdogs, break them into pieces and toss them to the Gators! They come swimming up to you to be fed. How COOL! My next favorite is the Gator Show which involves completely harmless Gator: wrestling. Basically the Trainer gently straddles the Gator and tips his chin under his.
