This was a cute chocolate store, cafe, and tour. I don't regret coming here first on this Orlando trip, but I wouldn't say it needs to be included on most travel itineraries. If you're on a budget, it does provide cute entertainment for the price, especially with the Groupon deal. There's a lot of parking in this long strip of shops, but there's so much bustle here, and the road between the parking spaces is condensed. The chocolate tour runs every hour between 12-5pm, and lasts for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. It's recommended to call in to reserve a time slot, since it's first come first served for walk-in tours. When I called, I was actually just advised to come in with no reservation since they anticipated there wouldn't be any competition for the time slot I wanted - the very last tour. They were accurate, as we were basically the only people there when we checked in early. Funnily enough, there were some last minute stragglers who came late to the tour and we ended up being a sizable group. The tour first takes you through a historical jungle environment, where you watch a video and learn about the discovery of cacao, and its different bean types around the world. They have a cacao husk and other items to touch and pass along, so bring your hand sanitizer. You're then led through some rooms with artefacts from the past (my memory is fuzzy here because I got a little bored) - there were random English interior decor, and then primitive versions of machines that helped to process chocolate. After that, you're led into a wonderful smelling room of points of interest and busts made entirely of chocolate. After that, they talk a little more about where they source their chocolate, talk you through the chocolate sample flavors, then give you the bite-sized pieces of chocolate and a mini cup of hot chocolate. Overall, this is a cute stop for chocolate lovers. I enjoyed how our guide made a bunch of jokes throughout the tour. I thought their selection of dessert wine was unique, and they offer samples on request. I wanted to buy more chocolate, but the prices were quite higher than expected, coming from someone who's used to one of the highest cost of living areas. The small piece of chocolate I did purchase was disappointing, and tasted like an overly sweet and creamy Kit Kat bar. read more

The place has a small cafe+confectionery shop on the outside and the museum's located behind it. The people at the cafe were friendly and polite. The tour was fun and our guide, Dave was amazing! He blended history with humor and provided a lot of insight into the history of chocolate as well as the technology and craft behind the chocolate bars as we know them today. The tour is about 45 minutes to an hour long and there are some beautiful chocolate sculptures on display inside the museum. They also have some of the chocolate making equipments on display as well. At the end of the tour, they offer samples of the chocolate and confectionery that they sell at the cafe. It was an afternoon well spent. Oh, and the hot cocoa they serve at the cafe is delicious! We would recommend the place for a casual afternoon date or if you're looking for something different to do in this town otherwise known for its theme parks. read more

It's basically a tour you look at a bunch of different chocolate related items watch a short film see some really cool chocolate structures and then get some samples nothing too crazy but nothing amazing too it was more for the history of it if anything. They also have a cafe inside we didn't order anything as we just came for the tour but if you're hungry then they have you covered. Overall this was fun but I wouldn't do it again and I'd definitely recommend not bringing kids as they weren't into it at least the ones in our group didn't seem to care at all. read more

We stayed about a mile from this museum and Café. It was a nice little walk that included sidewalks for safety. The establishment was clean and the folks who work there are very warm and welcoming. We got the fondue which was delicious and I felt reasonably priced. the museum was closed, which was a disappointment. I gave it four stars due to the fact they did not have a backup for someone who could not show up to do the museum. We found this place because of a Groupon deal. We bought the wine and chocolate pairing that included the museum tour. The museum tour was amazing. It starts every hour on the hour. We arrived at around 1:15 and it was pretty dead so we did the wine and chocolate pairing first close to 2 pm a bunch of people started showing up. Our tour guide was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable about all things chocolate and extremely engaging. He answered all kinds of questions. The chocolate samples at the end of the museum tour were amazing. My favorite was the pistachio. Too bad the actual chocolate bars were over $10 each for what was basically a large Hershey bar size. I would not recommend the wine and chocolate pairing. All of the wines were sweet and obviously all of the chocolates were sweet, so it did not make for a good pairing. I've been to plenty of wine or whiskey pairings with sweet items in the past. Good pairings cause the alcohol flavor to change because of the food item. This was not the case here. The wine tasted the same before and after the chocolate. If you have visitors in town, the museum tour is definitely worth the visit. read more

The seating is a combination of comfortable booths with chairs. It has a nice living area seating as well. I tried two chocolate drinks. The drinking chocolate comes in a small cup and is thick and rich. After the tour I tried the dark hot chocolate. It was delectable! It comes in white, milk, or dark chocolate. The dark chocolate is rich and creamy. We shared the chicken and avocado panini. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The avocado enhanced the sandwich. The grilled bread was a bit crusty and covered up the delicate chicken. We ended up using the lettuce leaf for a wrap style sandwich. The highlight of the visit was the tour. For seniors it is $15 per person and well worth the price. Anthony regaled us with the history of chocolate from bean to bar with tons of puns. The tour ends with a visit in their massive chocolate sculptures room. Sculptures range from 355 pound temples to the Mad Hatter. The tour ends with some samples of various chocolates. Service is relaxed and a bit slow but worth the wait. Chocolate prices are a bit high but tasty. Definitely worth a visit on your Orlando vacation. read more

A truly awesome little Museum and tour that I highly recommend if you have some spare time while in orlando. It is very easy to find and the tour is very informative. They have a Groupon and that's how I ended up finding this place. For the price, you can't go wrong! The tour took about an hour overall and this includes walking around seeing some stunningly realistic chocolate sculptures as well as a little chocolate sampling. Our tour guide was very informative and everyone that worked there was very quick with questions and answers that arose from them. I like that I was able to get a discount on anything that they sold after doing the tour so I got a couple chocolate bars. The prices are very reasonable and they also offer food and drink and you can sit down and just relax. They have a wine and chocolate pairing that seemed very good however I decided not to get it because the price for that was a little expensive for what it was giving you when I saw someone else order it. I came here last week for the chocolate tour they offer & it was a great experience! With an approximate run time of 45 mins, they teach you all about the history of chocolate & provide tons of interesting facts about how we've come to the wonderful treat we have today. Our tour guide, Dave, was awesome. He seemed passionate about teaching us & had a super inviting attitude when it came to engaging our group. I noticed he made sure to make eye contact with everyone in the group & encouraged us to ask questions. Although it's not a massive walk through, each room was set up with plenty of props & equipment to show what was used back then. Dave took his time explaining the history of everything, it didn't feel rushed at all. There was also an awesome show room of sculptures that they had commissioned specifically for the tour. It was incredible to see the amount of detail put into such massive blocks of chocolate. What's even more impressive is that they were shipped all the way from Austria & ranged from 150-350 lbs! At the end you get a nice variety of samples to try. Some milk, some dark & some white, but all delicious. Also, the hot chocolate was phenomenal. They offer you a 10% discount on all the products after you take the tour which is a nice touch. Of course I had to grab something to take home. Took my seven year old grandson for a day with GeeMa and we totally enjoyed. From the time we entered was treated with kindness by the helpful staff.
