We stopped here for dessert after dinner at Flamingo Crossing. We did not expect it to be a whole sit-down restaurant with a full-blown menu of ice creams, cake, crepes, pies, sundaes, and other sweets. It was all kind of overwhelming. I had in mind grabbing a quick scoop and going, but instead we sat a booth and took in the ambience. The interior is quite attractive and themed to sweets. The restaurant was clean. The booth where we sat was clean. Overall, a good impression. Our server Olivia appeared immediately, before we had fully taken in the menu actually, but she was patient and returned later. Because we just had eaten a big meal we really did not want a lot so the kid and I opted for a scoop of their speciality ice cream and the wife had a piece of pie with no ice cream. Everything was very tasty and hit the spot. Ice cream was good quality and creamy. The wife liked the apple pie. My only criticism and the reason for 4 stars is pricing. It is quite expensive. Our scoops were $11.50 each and the wife's piece of pie was $16.50. Total for the light dessert we thought we would get was $59 after tax and tip. read more

The White Rabbit Dessert Experience is a sit-down specialty dessert diner/shop in the Flamingo Crossings Town Center in Winter Garden just west of Disney. It's tastefully decorated with some Alice in Wonderland theming, creative menus, and gift shop. A place like this would do spectacular business in Disney Springs or many of the Disney resort properties, but it's nice to know White Rabbit is a similarly decadent dessert option a bit farther out. Kudos to whoever designed the menu cover as it is truly unique. I went with the "First Draft Pick" brownie sundae that consists of a chocolate brownie, vanilla ice cream, praline crunch, and both caramel and Belgian chocolate sauces. The vanilla ice cream was of really good quality along the line of Haagen Dazs, and didn't melt right away. The brownie was super rich and chocolatey with chocolate chips, and served heated. While it was good, my own personal preference would have been to have a walnut brownie option over the one with chocolate chips for people who don't like chocolate overload with their brownies. I wasn't a fan of the praline crunch, so I'm glad I asked for that on the side, as it skews the taste of the dessert which already has a lot going on. The prices are a bit on the high side, but I knew that going in that this would be a bit different than your typical dessert shop or ice cream parlor. Service was really friendly, but also slow at times. It seemed as if our waitress was doing a bunch of the serving and prep work, while one employee manned the front podium area, and the other in the kitchen (all looked like high school aged students). Although they're not a typical ice cream shop and scoop prices are high, if they lowered ice cream prices and converted the area in front of the prep area into a more casual soda fountain type set up with stools, it would probably bring in a lot more business having both a premium dessert experience for dine in and a more casual set up for those with kids in tow that just want some quick ice cream. I'd recommend the White Rabbit Dessert Experience to those who like more decadent specialty desserts, but not to those looking for just some ice cream or something more casual. read more

We visited the White Rabbit Dessert Experience while on vacation for Spring Break. I had never experienced a dessert restaurant before, so the concept is pretty cool. You can order to go, but we decided to dine in. Our server was friendly and welcoming. I tried the "Big Apple Pie" with their dairy-free vanilla ice cream. The pie was tasty. The crust was flaky, and the granola on top was the perfect addition. The slice was HUGE, so I had a nice portion to take home with me. A huge waffle with about a half can of pie filling poured over it and then a scoop of ice cream which had to be at least a half pint. The drizzled chocolate is some of the best chocolate I've tasted. I do wish they had plain options in Uber Eats. I'm giving 4 stars for the desserts. My peanut butter kid was so yummy! The ice cream was delicious. The crepe was not sweet so it balanced out the sweetness from the PB cups and chocolate sauce. Everyone else in our group truly enjoyed their desserts with the exception of the dairy free ice cream. Vegans and those with dairy allergies only have one option here. Vanilla dairy free ice cream. I'm not sure if its made in house how the regular ice cream is, but it was not good. They did have gluten free waffles here though that others said tasted even better than the regular waffles! Service was great once we got seated. There were plenty of open tables as only 3 other parties were there but it still took about 10 minutes of waiting before we were seated. Our server though was really nice and checked on us often. I mentioned that someone in our party had a birthday and she made sure to put a candle in the cake the bday girl had ordered. When I called ahead I was told they would play a special birthday song and make a bit of a fuss but that wasn't the case. The ambiance was not what I expected. I was under the impression that this place was Alice in Wonderland themed but it's not impressively so. Don't get me wrong, it was a lovely clean space with cute furniture, some clocks on the wall and cute light fixtures but the music playing is top 40 pop music and maybe that's what takes the ambiance from Wonderland to Baskin Robbins. I was expecting more of an "experience". I don't think I would go back because there's only one option for my family members with dairy allergies.
