He was very straightforward with his estimates and made sure we understood. He ended up having to dig up the lawn in a few places to look for the water line as well as look for the tanks. At that point, we had no idea what the actual price was supposed to be. The lack of consistency and transparency was alarming and made us question what was really going on. Despite accepting the owner's $6,500 quote and repeatedly asking them to begin the work, they continuously delayed the project with excuse after excuse. Days turned into weeks. We remained patient and cooperative, but our patience was rewarded with poor communication and constant delays. The final straw happened today. We called in the morning and received confirmation that they would arrive at 6:00 PM. We rearranged our schedule and waited. Then we waited some more. After an hour and a half, nobody showed up. No phone call. No text message. No explanation. Our calls were ignored, and our messages went unanswered. This company has now delayed our project for over two weeks and caused significant inconvenience. The issue is not just the pricing--it is the complete lack of professionalism, communication, accountability, and respect for customers' time. If a company cannot honor its commitments, communicate honestly, or even show up after confirming an appointment, it should not be treating customers this way. When I was sure that we had to first replace the whole septic system, I got quotes from many companies and building 5 offered the most competitive price. I was told by some company that cheap means less quality. Okay, please use your own judgement. I can only say they are not greedy company, or maybe they use fewer workers with less time but very efficient work. Maybe no long warranty is also a factor. So it depends on what you want. And during the work, they were very transparent with each process and helped me take pictures of every step they did. Josh and Alan were very patient in answering all my questions. They even change the main sewer line connected to the tank which is not in the scope of work. And the toilet already started to flow. However, I really feel like I was scammed and should have rejected their offer to "fix" the corrosion for $5,300, plus the flat fee of $695 to dig and inspect, plus the fee for the escrow certificate I needed to sell the property and close escrow ($6k plus!!!!). So they pretty much have you by the *alls. I negotiated the work for $4,500 and guess what, they finished in one hour!!!!! I was under the impression is was an all day job, how the heck do you charge $4,500 (after negotiating) for a total of 2 1/2 hours of work? They already knew they "WERE GOING TO HAVE TO FIX" something before they started, because as soon as they dug up the hole the big truck showed up to "pump" empty the tanks so they can make the repairs. Honestly I don't think it needed repairs and I simply got scammed out of $4,500. The tank is located up a narrow, long diveway, and Steve managed to maneuver it without causing a scratch to the wood fence. The previous vendor actually managed tomcarelessly crack a corner of the driveway. I highly recommend this company. Price is very reasonable also.
