All Valley Painting - Needed help with painting high ceilings

This company was hired as a subcontractor through my general contractor for a painting job…read more Unfortunately, the work did not match what was paid for despite them receiving full compensation. I specifically paid for separate primer and paint, but the subcontractor only applied paint and did not use primer at all. This is a significant issue, as primer was part of the agreed scope and directly affects the quality and durability of the job as my whole home was VERY DARK CUSTOM COLORS. When this was brought to their attention, the subcontractor refused to reimburse any portion of the cost. There was no effort made to resolve the issue or take responsibility for using lower-quality materials than what was paid for. The owner of the company, Gary, outright admitted to omitting primer to save money and profit more from the job. The owner of the company was also very rude to me and my family in our home and told three different versions of his story, none of which were the truth about the work that was done in my home. While the job was completed, it was not completed as agreed, and the lack of accountability afterward was disappointing. Based on this experience, I would advise others to clearly document materials and confirm what is actually being used on-site before work begins. One positive note I will add is the painting crew did take great care in protecting my floors, fixtures, and furniture during the painting process.

So we booked them to do our house as well and they did not disappoint. Showed up on time. Professional but easy going. Communicated along the way so that we could comfortably co-exist for the day. Lol They took care in wrapping and protecting the surrounding area as well as cameras and misc stuff on and around the house. Cleaned up after and just left with a job well done. Will definitely recommend and use again in the future. Thanks guys!

This company does not stand by their statement of "doing the job right" and their office manager,…read moreJade, is just rude and unprofessional and could care less about her customers. Where do I start? I got several bids to redo my old garage door jambs. Their bid was the highest by far but I could actually schedule with them and I liked that they were licensed as I wanted the job done right. The job took over 6 hours, including 1.5 hours spent at Home Depot down the street for reasons unknown. I was not charged for all that time but it doesn't make up for what transpired. Their handyman, Claudio, hit my garage door frame while working and the door wouldn't close. He also punched in the wall button for my garage door in the process of trying to get it to close when the problem was with the frame (rails) he hit. It still works, but only if you hit it several times or from a certain angle and I just had a garage door guy look at it and now I need to buy a new one so he can install it as the garage door spontaneously opens on its own due to the button being punched in. He also messed up the garage door rails when trying to fix them and my entire garage door closes on an angle and Claudio glued the trim piece on an angle on that side so it would be flush rather than fixing his mess-up correctly! My garage door is actually in danger of falling off the rails so that needs to be fixed, as well as redoing the glued-on trim piece so it's straight and flush with the even garage door if that's even possible without damaging it and the actual jamb. This just gets worse by the minute. Back to the actual jambs, Claudio used 2 pieces of trim with the rubber seal on one jamb which is not right. It should be one solid piece of trim. He also left nearly an half-inch gap on the same trim/seal piece at the top of the other jamb. He got the dark brown paint I provided all over the floor of my garage and on my new driveway. But, that was just the beginning of the issues as he didn't nail the trim piece into the jamb at the bottom so I had a row of exposed nails nearly half the way up and then the trim pulled completely away from the jamb after using the garage for a few days (he did finally get the frame fixed so the door would close, at least). Ugh. I contacted Jade about all this via text with photos. I never got an apology for that but was told she would send my photos to him. Were they not proof enough to her? She did get back to me and I was finally able to get Claudio scheduled for the next week and, yes, he needed to totally redo the trim pieces on either side because they were too short, hence putting two pieces together and leaving a gap, and after going to Home Depot again, he glued the trim to my jambs as light was still coming through after nailing them up. I also showed him the wall button for my garage door but he said nothing. I kept pointing it out compared to the other buttons and crickets. At least own up to it and offer to fix it! The kicker was when he realized he would actually have to go back to Home Depot and do my jambs the right way, I asked if he'd please pick up some concrete filler and fill in the small chunks of concrete missing next to my new jambs so I wouldn't have gaps. This would be a nice gesture for cheating me on the first job and wasting another day of my time and I wouldn't have asked otherwise. Well, he came back with nothing but the trim and when I asked where the concrete filler was, he said that Jade told him he couldn't buy it. What a terrible way to take care of a customer who paid nearly $500 in full for such a shoddy job from someone who clearly knew he bought pieces that were too short to save a few bucks. I called Jade at that point and she just argued with me on the phone and then said she'd have the owner call me as she "couldn't answer my questions." I'm not sure why that was so difficult and no one ever contacted me, of course. I'll presume the owner is her husband but it's not really relevant at this point. I do not recommend this company nor will ever use them again. I don't pay to be treated like garbage and I don't deal with shady handymen or their bosses. Furthermore, I now have major repairs to my garage door and need a legitimate handyman to redo the right trim all on my nickel.
