Stayed here for a week and had an okay time. The room was nice and employees were friendly. When I left Boston my debit card had fraudulent charges for over $100 at a pizza place and this hotel was the only place I ever handed my debit card to. I didn't use that debit card for anything but the hotel the entire trip. I can't confirm 100% someone here did this but there's only a few people who would have had access to this information. I would never stay here again. I stayed for two nights, and before we even checked out they charged my card over SEVEN different times. I spoke with the manager about it, and before I even got back to the room, I had another charge. They also sprung a $20 parking fee (per night) on us at check in. There is no breakfast (unless you want to pay for cereal or a muffin) and the room views look directly into other rooms. No water pressure in the shower and sink. read more

Stayed here the weekend of May 20th. My friend booked two rooms for 4 of us. Me and my other friend arrived first and they checked us right in. However, when the rest of the group showed up they put them in a room that was already occupied! Imagine my friends surprise when they walked in to find other peoples stuff. Luckily it wasn't a mom feeding her child or something like that. The manager gave my friend a new room but did nothing after that. It made us uncomfortable to leave any personal items in the room. The hotel itself was ok. It was basically a holiday inn with hipster decor. The price definitely did not fit the experience. The shower had no water pressure and the rooms were not very clean. It is also in a really random area with not much options as far as food or activities. No breakfast or any other amenities of note. read more

Our room was very clean on arrival to the hotel. The hotel atmosphere is Art Deco- isk. The cafe for cost breakfast was simple and the coffee more important was Caribou brand. There were some amenities however that were missing. Extra toilet paper rolls and hand towels were not in the room. I will say that when we asked for the items we got an immediate response and the items were delivered. The room itself was spacious but there was not a mirror in the room only in the bathroom. I was at this hotel over the weekend with a few friends. We are from NYC and stayed here from 3.3.23-3.7.23. We did not have a pleasurable experience. We were harassed about check out times days before we were scheduled to leave & our room cards were also deactivated the day after we checked in. We noticed we were the only black people there at the time, so we can't help but consider this a factor. The guest services were horrible. We asked for toilet tissue and never received it even after going downstairs to the front desk. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone of color. The staff is clearly used to treating black people this way. I would suggest to the management to retrain staff on overall guest services. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights for business. Boston hotels can be notoriously expensive, so I found this place at a relatively good rate. It was about a 15 minute drive northwest from the airport. They offer free parking, free WIFI, but no free breakfast. They do have a small café/bar that offers basic foods for sale, and they have an overpriced snack bar. Pros: New hotel. Built 2 years ago. Really cool décor and interior. Comfortable, clean room. 1 HBO channel on a new, mounted TV. Fast, reliable WIFI. Bigelow brand shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Clean, spacious gym. Pull up bar, free weights up to 50 lbs. Excellent service. Gentleman who checked me in was friendly, efficient, and offered me free water bottles. Cons: In a noisy area. I could hear airplanes fly over and construction and cars outside. Room is rather smaller than what I am accustomed to. Didn't feel crammed, but wasn't entirely comfortable. Not in a great area. Gets pretty busy during rush hour. Took about 45 minutes to get into downtown during morning rush. read more

Hotel is updated and nice! The staff is LAZY. They are just there to pass time by. One of the night shift workers sat on her phone for 2 min before asking if she could help me. I asked for recommendations on their food items, she was a little helpful. I asked her would the shuttle be able to take me to up the street because it was dark and I didnt want to walk alone. She said no its right there and continued to watch a video on her phone. She was so nonchalant and short, which was very annoying. I would have gave it 5 stars but the employees from check in to check out were unpleasant I just expected a willingness to help since our company has a contract with them. Very disappointed with customer service. The rooms are nice. They have a rusted look. Very clean and stocked. Beautiful hotel, absolutely stunning. You'll be awed by all the really great touches. The magnetic scrabble board, the gorgeous furniture and EVERYONE is really nice. It's also really convenient. I had to be in DT at 3:30 + it took maybe 15 minutes. The only thing that I didn't really love was that there are no mirrors in this room, no full length ones. Other than that, you can't get something more luxurious at that price point. Highly highly recommend, beautiful amazing hotel. read more

God, I love this place! I wish I had more photos to share. Staff: super friendly, not just with the guests but with each other. You can tell they love what they're doing and they adore their coworkers. Setting: Beautifully-appointed. Modern but traditional and rustic with great finishes like Edison bulb sconces, antique sewing machines atop iron-pipe shelves, and old Singer sewing tables as vanities in the rooms. Amenities: The meeting room is bright, airy and modern. Didn't spend time in there myself, aside from snooping/exploring. There's a giant scrabble board in the lobby just begging to be played with, and Against The Grain coffee shop serves Caribou Coffee. It was seriously one of the best drinks I've had in a while! Accessibility: Handicap bathroom on first floor is one of the best I've seen, with great chair or scooter maneuverability, appropriate safety & ADA features, and a sink in the stall. The hotel also features rooms with a roll-in shower, as well as standard broad walk-in shower stalls. Pet-friendly: this was crucial as we needed a place to stay while our floors were being refinished, and we couldn't leave our cats at home. Zero problems. Location: There's a busy street out front, but we never heard noise from traffic. There are restaurants nearby including fast food, casual dining, and myriad cuisine styles. For necessities, there's a Target about a mile away, as well as Old Navy, a 24-hour CVS, and - maybe most importantly for New Englanders - two Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru locations within line of sight of the hotel. Basically, I'm smitten with this hotel. In fact, some of the photos I'm sharing on here were taken because I want to incorporate them into the design of our own home. We will recommend this hotel to any out-of-town guests who come to visit us, and if we need to be out of our house again while staying local, this will absolutely be our go-to spot. read more

One negative factor I neglected to include in my review: the coffee. We like good, strong coffee. What is offered downstairs is not good, and the Keurig in the room leaves no choices whatsoever. I hate and despise Keurigs. The coffee or tea is freeze dried and has an awful aftertaste. I don't use fake powdered creamer either: we use real, whole milk or half n half. Had to buy a small container downstairs, buy the fake oatmeal so that we could have boiling water for our instant coffee packets that I brought "just in case," i.e. Bustelo espresso packets. read more

Had a wonderful stay at Envision Hotels in Boston-Everett. I wasn't sure what to expect coming into the area reading all the horrible reviews for other hotels in downtown Boston area. I was trying to save some money while going to the big game (Yale vs. Harvard go Bulldogs!!) at Fenway, but I didn't want to go too inexpensive because you get what you pay for. All the Hilton's, Mariott's, Omni, etc. were booked or extremely too pricey. Our family decided to go with Envision part of the Hotel Choice group, which I don't typically frequent. The roll of the dice paid off!! The hotel was extremely pleasant and Very Clean!! There was no free breakfast or pool, but there was a bar with menu options as well as a nice place to eat and/or socialize (we sat talked and played cards). It was very tranquil, yet friendly enough for my family to sit and play cards and not feel uncomfortable. My room was nice and clean. I would absolutely stay here again. It's not exactly in the epicenter of downtown, but close enough with Uber or Lyft. I didn't take any public transportation, but I'm sure there's a way. Dunkin' Donuts (extremely friendly) and Popeyes are within walking distance. I didn't get pictures of our room because we never kept it nice enough to show the world LOL. I did take pictures of the rest of the facility. Special shout out to the Phenomenal Staff who also made this trip Amazing Nehemie and Saad were so VERY pleasant and accommodating. Nehemie worked the food area among other things and was so Sweet and helpful. Saad worked the front desk among other things and made sure we got the extra amenities we needed as well as being extremely informative. There were other staff that helped and were pleasant (just didn't get the names). It's people like Nehemie and Saad that make hotel establishments GREAT! I scored a stay at this hotel through Expedia. The rooms were decorated so cute! We stayed in a double queen bed room with another couple, and the room had a good amount of space for everyone and their belongings. We slept great, and the air conditioning doubled as a white noise machine. The next morning, we pulled a large upholstered bench that was in front of one of the beds up against a desk that was in the room, so that we could both sit at the desk to do our makeup at this makeshift vanity table. I just love staying at places that are decorated in such a classy manner. Breakfast was not included with our stay, but there was a plethora of choices for us close by. Nice boutique hotel located close to Boston. Easy to access and vintage feel. Average amenities. I will say that the staff was particularly rude to me as a black Muslim female I came in about 3 minutes before my white male colleague and was met without being greeted or helped while I stood at the counter waiting. My colleague and I were both on government work and he was greeted and checked in before I was even acknowledged. I plan to write a letter to the company as well. I will never visit the chain of hotels again or suggest it to federal employees. read more

honest review: got in later Friday night, long travel looking forward to sleep woken up at 3am to loud techno music bumping until 6am, made Two complaints , nothing appeared to be done after we talked to front desk. Rest of the 3 nights were better from a noise perspective. Hotel has no breakfast , they charged $1.55 for coffee in lobby haha no thanks. Room was spacious but stains on couch , walls, a bit too much for what you pay. needless to say, wouldn't stay here again, wouldn't recommend. This is an excellent hotel if you can get past it's location. Bad: First, the major issue is that the hotel, while near Boston, is not in the actual city. There is public transportation, by way of the commuter rail or Orange Line. However, it's not the same as being in the actual city. It is about 0.4mi away from a ZipCar location, and Uber/Lyft were plentiful in the area at anytime during my stay. Second, the hotel is located in what seems to be somewhat of an industrialized area, directly adjacent to a major thoroughfare. So, there is audible outside noise in the room (sometimes pretty loud). Also, do not expect to find any non-chain restaurants nearby; there are fast food/fast casual restaurants somewhat close, such as Five Guys, Dunkin Donuts, Taco Bell, etc.; I checked into the hotel around 2am and was able to have UberEats deliver McDonald's within 20min. Good: Where to start? The hotel is only 4 months old as of this post, so everything feels new and fresh. The decor is aesthetically pleasing. Furthermore, the in-room water bottles and coffee machine are complimentary, as is the wifi (I averaged 3.7 mbps) If you have a car, parking is also bountiful, due to it's location. The rooms have modern features, such as new flat screens and USB ports built into the headboard. The water can get very hot in the bathroom, and the shower pressure was great. The bed is another marvel, and was very comfortable. Staff was also accommodating and friendly. The elevators always seemed to be waiting for me when the button was pressed, and they were spacious, though they did make a startling sound once they got to your desired floor. There is also a gym that I did not have the pleasure of trying. Bottom Line: This was my second time in Boston, and the first time that I didn't stay in the actual city. I would definitely stay at this EnVision location again, as long as I didn't need to travel into Boston during the weekday rush hour. read more

I want to start this review by saying that I don't like to review hotels. They are a place to sleep. I usually go for location. I go in knowing sometimes you get what you pay for, and sometimes you come out with great surprises. I know that the Boston area is expensive just like any big city. This is a few miles from the actual downtown area of Boston. This place seems to be $100/night in the winter $200/night in May when the weather starts getting nicer? Now seeing that kind of changes my review. I liked the location, about a mile from Encore casino which was $7 Uber ride each way. I would pay $100 more easily than $200 considering there really isn't much else to do there without driving around. This place is only 2 years old and it seems to already be needing some TLC. The wall scrabble game was so much fun, but a couple of pieces the magnets needed to be reglued-that's a one minute fix. Our room had a lot of hair and dust. The bathroom wallpaper either never has been cleaned or maybe it wasn't meant for washing because it had stains and toothpaste splatter everywhere. I have cleaned hotel room for a living before. Yes, it's not fun but if that's your job, then that's your job. You get paid by the hour, not the room. Always do you best at your job whether you like your job or not. Or else get a new job. I would recommend this place for location and friendly staff. But really no matter what town you stay in or what 'brand' hotel you use, it's a gamble. It could be a one time incident or just the way a hotel is at all times, and if you don't go back you'll never know for sure. read more

Pretty solid choice if you're looking to stay in the Boston area. The decor is vintage, sharp, and charming. The staff is professional. The rooms possess the same level of charm and attention to detail as the common areas. Everything is modern, renovated, but with the vintage style seen in the photos on the Yelp page. I sadly did not take any of my own photos! Feels a bit unfair, but I'm going to knock off a star for the terrible location of the hotel. It's safe. However, nothing is in walking distance. You'll be sitting in traffic to get to any other location in the city and suburbs. It's sort of overall just ugly around it. That being said, the staff has done everything they can to compensate for the location by providing an exceptional hotel experience for a reasonable price. People are nice and the lobby is nice. Really Not the best location, very loud outside, zooming cars late at night, the air conditioning in our double queen room blows directly on the bed which some might enjoy, but I personally don't like. Hard to control room temp- cold or hot. The top-bedding is really polyester-ish and they tuck the comforter so tight and deep into the mattress that it's hard to cover yourself unless you pull it out completely but I think it's a twin tucked in sideways- short. I like sheets to be tucked in at the end of the bed so just tugged as hard as I could but it didn't spare an inch. The next night I asked for an extra blanket so I could cover the length of my body. They have cribs which I wasn't expecting- Took a 1.5 mile (each way) walk with my daughter to a playground, the streets were lined with trash and liquor bottles. Nothing in walking distance that looked good to walk into. The price is really really good- luckily we have a car and can drive to see the sights, but next time I'll spend more to be closer to the action. read more

The front desk staff here was fantastic. I requested a double bed room and was given a king. They were able to switch it for me immediately with no issues. I walked in later with a champagne bottle and the gentleman at the desk noticed. He asked if I needed glasses:) the bar was able to provide them. I'm only giving this hotel 3 stars because of the fact that airplanes fly overhead and can be very noisy. This is not the hotel's fault, but it is something to keep in mind if you plan to stay here. I stayed Thursday to Sunday. For some reason, I only heard the planes on Sunday morning, from 6-9am. I could hear the planes landing and taking off every 5 minutes. Even with ear plugs I couldn't sleep. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay. The decor is nice. It's very clean. Bed is comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. They allowed me to check out at 1pm, no extra charge. The heater/AC unit is noisy but it works. It's easy to take public transportation. We took a bus and then a train to go downtown and we also used Uber a few times. The first two nights were quiet, but Sunday morning there was a lot of noise from the planes as I mentioned. read more

This hotel is clean and the staff are kind. The hotel is new and you can tell the that front desk people are newbies to the system, but just be patient and everything goes fine. They've only been open a bit over a month! I really like the decor they have going on in the lobby and the rooms, so the aesthetic of the place is great. In the room, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was a good size, and the street outside was rather quiet. Made for a good night's sleep. There are only two things I don't like about EnVision: 1) you can barely notice it driving by because it's a nondescript brick building and the only indication it's a hotel is the vertical sign on the corner that's hard to make out, and 2) a big part of that is the fact this hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so there's really nothing to do and that's probably why you get a nicer hotel room for a price that's better than one within the heart of Boston. The pro for it being far away from "real" Boston is that is it very quiet! In fact, it was almost dead silent outside. Every now and then I'd hear a plane fly by, but that's the only noise I could make out the entire night. I'd come back, but only if I had a car again like this time. read more

I give the place 3 stars because the area is listed as it is in Everett-Boston, which I guess is my fault and should have investigated more, because never having been to Boston, I didn't know what or where Everett was. It is about 20 minutes from Boston and a $15-20 Uber ride each way. This added up during our trip and felt that we needed to stay out in the city all day to keep from trekking back and forth. It's probably the same amount of $ to book much closer to the city and then save on rides. There is nothing to do in Everett, even if you did want to go out. Would stay at this location again if I was in Everett specifically, but would not recommend if you plan on touring Boston often. read more

Stayed here from Friday night until Tuesday morning; partly for work but mostly for leisure. I booked this place on Expedia so I wasn't sure what to expect and honestly, when I first exited the highway I was a bit worried maybe the area wasn't that nice, but I never once felt unsafe when I stayed here (single traveler). Never had an issue with parking and everything was very friendly, never heard any noise from my hotel room either (3rd floor). Loved the decor/room itself, it was so cute, and the Keurig in the room (took advantage of the coffee and tea every day!). After two nights, housekeeping put two 16 oz bottles of water out for me which I appreciated; I'd gone to Target before arriving for small bottles of water and was staring to run out. I found the bed and pillows comfortable also, and the bedding not scratchy and thick enough that I was warm without needing to ask for more blankets or anything. I would definitely stay here again if I was visiting Boston and didn't need to be downtown quickly (30 min drive) and was honestly a little sad to have to leave on Tuesday to check out and move on for work. read more

Hotel itself is gorgeous and clean. Main complaint is the noise outside the window...specifically the wind. Gusts of wind are amplified against the window which lines the entire wall and also through the air conditioning/heating unit which is above the window...sounds three times louder and almost whistles through the AC unit. Also since the whole wall is a window and it's cold outside we had to run the heater most all the night which is loud since it's a wall unit....Just bring ear plugs. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights. I couldn't find a better hotel to stay in during our visit to Boston. The staff is very nice and happy. We had dinner two times at the bar, it was very delicious, the Spinach Salad is to die for, as well the flat bread pizzas actually the entire menu looks very delicious. They also have a great selection of beers, wine, ciders to choose from. They also provided me with menus around the area that deliver food, very convenient and very economical. You can also grab breakfast food, like yogurt parfait, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, cold sandwich and many more. Jessica, at the front desk she was always there to help. Marie at the bar she provided good service and very attentive while we ate there and having adult refreshments. Dana, the hotel manage made sure our stay was wonderful, he made sure we had everything we needed. He suggested places to go and eat before our arrival. He also informed me the beds are as comfortable they could be and they are! The hotel is spotless clean, decor is very welcoming, amazing light fixtures, toiletries are from the top of the line, I normally don't use them but this time my entire family use them and the smell is amazing, towels you can tell are also top of the line, very soft and they smell fresh. One of the things I was very surprised is that the bottle water and coffee (keurig) are FREE! The hotel is not located in the heart of Boston, but for the nightly rate and the quality of this hotel offers is very worth staying. Short Lyft ride to downtown Boston is just 12-15 mins away, the average of the ride fee was around $13-$15 dollars. The hotel offers the use of a computer and printer, we printed our boarding passes the day before as I was home. Overall, skip the pricey hotels located in Boston, you will enjoy sleeping in very comfortable beds. This hotel won't disappoint you. Skip the high price rental car, use Lyft instead, the city is very crowded and parking is very expensive to park. No need for a car. The T line is as convenient to navigate the city and super economical. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family. We definitely stay here again. I unexpectedly stayed here after my Airbnb host completely screwed myself and 5 other people over. Airbnb booked us new reservations at this hotel, so we were going in fully blind after an incredibly stressful day (and it was my birthday). The hotel staff could not have been any more AMAZING! Despite them having absolutely nothing to do with our airbnb fiasco, they were so incredibly apologetic about our reservations falling through. They were very informative during the check in process, as I said we had limited information since we did not actually book the rooms. They were able to arrange 3 gorgeous rooms all next to each other per our request, as well as accommodating a semi late check out. I have no complaints at all about the hotel itself. Everything was perfect and our sleep was amazing. The location the nearby Encore casino is also unbeatable. This hotel turned my terrible birthday into an incredible stay! read more

This is our first night here, we are spending a total of two nights. The location isn't amazing, but it is an amazing hotel. From the moment you walk in, the decor strikes you as different and artsy. The rooms are so much more than expected; upon walking in we were extremely pleased with the accommodations. The little details make it special, from the old fashioned alarm clock to the faux rotary dial telephone. They have a bistro/bar called Against the Grain which serves a la carte breakfast and in the evening, small bites such as boneless wings, quesadillas, paninis and salads. We visited the bistro tonight and we were not disappointed! The beds are extremely comfortable; upon arriving, I took about an hour nap, and despite the previous reviews with complaints about the planes flying overhead and the traffic outside, I slept very well.
