Not to mention the job was not completed and no other company wanted to touch their giant mistake. The real kicker is when we called them about our soggy ceiling sink the disaster pan was overfilling they denied any water damage( I have this phone call recorded) it took three years of fighting with the home reality company CINCH (also goes by sears home warranty) who assigned us to General Heating and AC. Cinch is another huge problem assigning work to companies that are not competent at the job, after fighting with them for many summers they only agreed to pay for half of the very costly reinstall of the unit! Our home owners insurance went up due to this, we had no AC for three summers. General heatings team of Cheryl and Zac are extremely unprofessional. Zac admitted this was only the second high velocity unit he had installed which showed some there was a plethora of things done wrong. This company has caused me endless headaches, hours on the phone, and thousands of dollars down the hole, if you are assigned to them from a home warranty company for the love of God request to be placed with a different company! Finally getting this review out since we can finally say we have working AC due to the wonderful company Binder Heating and AC. I don't know how to stress this enough especially if you have a high velocity unit so not book this company!

Kurt and his trusty assistant; Pat diagnosed the problem, replaced the damaged electrical parts, showed me how to run the new thermostat, B.S.'d with Kurt and they were out the door in less than an hour. Now here is the kicker. Another company told me I needed to replace my ENTIRE AC/FURNACE for $5,000. Kulla charged me UNDER $200 for the inspection, assessment and rwplacement of parts. I mentioned to the owner Kurt Kulla that his reviews are often low. He stated that anybody can write anything about his work and he doesn't have the time, man power nor inclination to patrol reviews of what someone may or may not have said about his work. "They can contact me if they have a problem. I'll listen. But I get most of my business from referrers and I'm VERY busy." And in fact, I got the Kulla referral from my neighbor. What turned into a nightmare visit started when the technician showed up 30 minutes late to a diagnostic visit without a call or an apology. Then the technician spent less than five minutes looking at the unit and charged a $139.99 diagnostic fee. Worse yet, one worker used my bathroom without even asking, which is unacceptable. It may be hard to believe, but things got worse from there. I was promised an estimate for the work by the end of the Friday. Despite repeated calls, I didn't receive an estimate until Tuesday, days after one of their competitors gave us an estimate. Because the experience was so bad, I wanted to wash my hands of the company and asked for a refund. The owner, Robin, said no. And suggested that if we didn't like the service we received, we ought to just pick the other company! Save your time and money and find a company that respects its customers and their homes. After being loyal customers for 10 years the final straw is a 3 trip to replace a solenoid they have failed to properly diagnose and fix after initially installing the dehumidifier on the central air unit improperly. Years of "oh we will take care of that at your next spring tune up" has been going on 3 years now. Typically you fix or address the issues you are compensated for but not so much here.

Contacted Dependable Heating and Cooling via their online form at about 5A, by 7A they were out at the house, checking the furnace. Turns out the motor had frozen or something along the lines of that, the technician gave us a discount of the parts because I'd just had it serviced. Great customer service and prompt service. I'd definitely use their company again for my HVAC.
