I was charged $525. ! Being a businessman for many years I do understand that there is a cost of operation to all materials on a job.However,this is truly price gouging. I will also contact the Attorney General's office for their opinion. It was not long ago that they locked up the CEO ( Martin Shreli ) for a 500 to 600 percent markup of the epa Pen.

R&M said a single system to serve all three levels could be installed, and that is exactly what they did. This involved running ductwork throughout the house, which they were able to do above the ceilings and through a few closets without having to cut into any of the rooms. I hired them to put down epoxy floors in both my basement and garage, and I removed EVERYTHING from both spaces, except for some aluminum shelves and a cabinet, which were just too bulky for me to remove myself. They did not bring their own drop cloths to cover the areas where they were walking, and instead removed cardboard from my recycling bins and taped those to my floors, not front steps, and consequently marked oak floors, masonry steps and wooden front door with epoxy. (They scraped off the expoxy, and the paint, in the process. Fortunately I had paint for them to do touch up work). And they left paint chips all over the exterior of the garage where they were working. I had to force the boss, Peter, to get his crew to clean up the problems. He never apologized, and was instead extremely rude. Finally, instead of taking ten minutes yesterday to return the shelving to the garage and basement, after I had paid Peter, and had asked nicely, he yelled at me and said, "You didn't tell me I had to do that!" I pointed out that I had removed everything else for them to help them with their work, and that they had removed those few things because I couldn't move them myself (my husband died three months ago, and he knew that I couldn't move those shelves by myself).He then grudglingly offered to return TUESDAY, when it was clear they could have done the right thing before they left, and returned the shelves to where they had originally found and removed them. In short, the work of this company was sloppy, unprofessional as well as unkind. Avoid hiring them. There are plenty of other businesses that do this work well. I wish I didn't have to write this, but unfortunately Frank Connolly screwed up big time when he…read moreput in my septic system. It was installed when we moved into our house a year and a half ago. At the time, Frank was easy to talk to, responsive, and I generally thought he did a good job. Fast forward to about a month ago, and I noticed the sump pump in my basement was running non-stop - a tremendous amount of water was entering the sump despite it not having rained in days. Outside my house, I could see the discharge from the pump entering an underground pipe that led to the road, but I had a suspicion that the water was somehow being recycled. So I rerouted the discharge out of the ground and down my driveway instead, and immediately the inflow to the sump slowed down. At that point I knew there was a break somewhere in the discharge pipe between the house and the road that was causing the water to flow back under my foundation every time it was pumped out. I started to dig to look for the break, but never in my wildest dreams did I expect what I found. The discharge pipe simply ended in my front yard, at a point about 10 feet uphill of the septic system Frank had installed. A segment of the pipe had been detached, and when I dug a little further, I found that segment buried on top of the septic system (see photo). The septic system (black plastic piece) was directly in the way of the discharge pipe, and the evidence strongly suggested that Frank's guys encountered the discharge pipe when they installed the septic and simply removed the part of the pipe that was in the way. I contacted Frank to see if he could come by and take a look. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and figured he didn't know that this had happened, that his guys had done this without his knowledge. I did finally speak to him, and he sounded apologetic, but despite multiple requests to come to the house, he never showed up. I didn't feel like spending thousands of dollars to have another contractor fix the problem, so I did the damn thing myself. It should be noted that Frank had given me a written two-year warranty when he installed my septic system. I'm pretty sure I could sue him for what it would have cost to fix it, but it's not worth the effort to me. I figured a more effective recourse was to let others know not to do business with this dude. I'm still amazed that someone would do this, but I guess there's a reason it's hard to trust a contractor.
