The meals have all been very delicious, even as leftovers! Recent examples: Ginger Scallion Chicken, and Chicken Noodle Soup with Matzo Balls. All the ingredients are fresh and the cooking directions are clear and easy, according to my daughter. I merely microwave the leftovers without sacrificing any taste or texture, so far so good. For what it's worth, Meez Meals is Grandma approved. Did I just write their next ad?

The food is always delicious and I feel great feeding my family these easy to prepare meals! They have fewer prep steps and way less waste than other meal delivery companies we had tried in the past. I love that the drivers pick up the delivery bags to reuse. They will adapt most meals to your food preferences and make it clear if one has an ingredient that cant be removed (I hate mushrooms and its always quick and easy to see if they can send an option without them- never once has a meal come with them included!) Ordering online is super easy too.

The pho came prepared with everything I was expecting! The broth could have been hotter but I just microwaved it for a bit. I really enjoyed it. They give you a large portion of noodles and broth so that it could easily make two meals or you could split it with someone else. I'll definitely order from here again!

After the show ended I was still really in the mood for spring rolls and even something more but I knew finding a decent option close to midnight that didn't require a trek would be difficult. So I was really surprised when a search turned up this random and seemingly new Vietnamese spot in River West of all places. It became clear after a little research that this was a cloud kitchen though so I was hesitant as I've had mixed results when it comes to other cloud kitchen ordering experiences. Having not been to the original MK Noodle also lended to my hesitation but after noting that they had pretty good reviews I decided to give their Express option a shot. I can't speak to the consistency with the original restaurant but I can say that the spring rolls and lemongrass pork banh mi I ordered both tasted good. Being able to add a bag of crispy, fresh fries and a can of coke to my sandwich for an additional $3 was also a nice option. The lemongrass pork was a little on the sweet side for my taste but was still enjoyable with good toppings and a crispy, airy baguette. I really like that they have a variety of spring rolls so I was able to get an order of shrimp and imitation crab. These were really good with fresh vegetables and nice sized shrimp and crab stick pieces. Not sure if they accidentally added an order of crab rangoons or if they automatically add them if you spend a certain amount or they just felt bad for making me wait but finding an order of these was a pleasant surprise as I enjoyed my late night meal. The peanut and sweet and sour sauces that came with the order also tasted really nice. The only reason I am putting 4 stars is that the order took a while longer than quoted to be ready. That being said I appreciated their customer support reaching out to me directly by phone to provide me with updates and apologize for the wait. This allowed me to just relax in my car and avoid all the bustle going on with all the delivery drivers and others picking up orders but when they phoned to let me know I could head inside I still had to wait a while longer for the food to be brought out. Still, I would definitely order from this spot again.

What better time to unwrap the gift of a tamale than heading into the New Year. The signature tamale varieties available for ordering included cheese, pork, and chicken, along with the famous salsa verde. I opted for chicken and was pleased with my choice. The order came with reheating and freezing instructions. The masa is light and the chicken is fresh and high-quality. The perfect comfort food to add spice and warmth to a Chiago winter! I look forward to sampling some of the other varieties and appreciated this collaboration for spotlighting a locally owned business that I might not otherwise have had the opportunity to try.

Unfortunately, after hearing so much good feedback I decided to try them for myself. Sadly, they were a poor in substance and taste. And sadly his business didn't survive Covid. But he's reopened at another place on Diversey and Richmond between Sacramento and California out of a bar called Quality Time. I want to thank the bartender Dan or Stan(?) for helping me with my order. I ordered one dozen red tamales and a half-dozen chicken tamales. Complimentary salsa was given. Although the flavor for both tamales was good. Presentation had a lot to be desired in order for them to a true wrapped tamale. The filling on both at times were leaking from the side, as if the masa (cornmeal dough) wasn't completely covering the filling. And what's with the one single chintzy corn husk wrapping? I like that they didn't have a lot of masa covering the meat. But they were somewhat sloppy. And update your prices on your tamales since I was charged $12.00 per half-dozen instead of the $11.00 listed on your website. Or notify the customer of the price increase. One more thing, that salsa was very watery. Would I return, I don't know. The jury is still out on this one. But I might go back to the bar and try a special drink that was being offered and depend on how it went down. might order just a half dozen. I am going to check out a new establishment on Harlem Avenue near Addison, that sells tamales. And compare them to yours. The winner gets my return visits. The flavor was almost there, but packaging had a lot to be desired.

The service was second to none (thank you Deja), but the restaurant is sterile, cold and the music selection is a radio station the staff apparently likes and played way too loud during a morning brunch. This seems like a prep spot for her catering venture and not a five star dining establishment. In fact, there is NOTHING 5-Star about this dining experience. Even the website demonstrates that her focus is on catering large events--evidenced by the catering menus being featured and not the dining menus. As for the food, it was good, but nothing was exceptional. We shared the "Exotic Fruit & Berry Mosaic Board" -- a medley of delicious fresh fruit. My wife had the "Brioche French Toast" - French toast, eggs and choice of meat: (Pork Bacon, Turkey Bacon, Veggie Sausage, Chicken & Apple Sausage, Turkey Sausage). My son tried the Belgian waffles with bourbon maple syrup, eggs and sausage as the "choice of meat." I ordered a simple Belgian Waffle and was going to eat my wife's eggs and sausage since she hadn't eaten them. (Hmmmm????) I understand why she passed. The eggs were bland and the sausage links had an awful aftertaste. With all due respect, if you're not going to season the eggs, PLEASE put salt and pepper on the tables. $115 seemed ridiculously high for the quality of the food and no alcohol--and I've paid twice as much with no complaints at Virtue, Asciones etc. It breaks my heart to have not really enjoyed Easter Brunch at Edible Passport, but it felt like a bit of a dive, not a fine dining experience.

Both times the food arrived EXACTLY at 4pm and was top quality with good portions for most. My dad recently needs to be on a lower sodium diet so it's nice to provide 1-2 meals per week for him with no commitment- he usually eats only half of the portion per meal and can easily know the sodium content. My wife and I have tried a few of the meals and been happy with everything - sometimes calories and fat/sodium can be a bit higher than my wife prefers for a single meal but you have all the info before ordering. There's always a salmon option, and a recent "Retro Fried Chicken Bowl" was great if slightly unhealthier than ideal but had a nice portion of well cooked chicken and included a fantastic smothered sauce plus the side of applesauce was chunky, flavorful, and just as good as we would make at home. If you don't make your own applesauce this will show you why you should do it. Nothing but positive so far, and prices generally seem consistent with the "ready to cook" options in the market but you have much less packaging waste and don't need to spend a bunch of time cooking and cleaning up which can be nice during the week. Most dishes are 2-3 minutes heating up in the microwave and end up great. Don't get me wrong, we love to cook but I prefer to use my own recipes and for my dad with limited mobility a quick, healthier microwave meal or a "soft food" option is important. And for my wife and me, this is a nice supplement to our weeknight meals. Bravo to a great local business worth supporting!
