This is an update to a review I posted 8/17/22. Enterprise has redeemed themselves by providing a rental car that is not banged up, wreaking of cigarettes smoke and shaking when you go above 55 mph. It took several days to get a response and action taken to modify the situation. But they did. And I give them total credit for doing that. All of the employees that helped me with the situation were extremely friendly, courteous and apologetic. However, some cars should not be rented out if they aren't up to non-smoker's expectations. read more

Customer service is good. But the cars they are renting out not so good. First vehicle was shaky and not driving too good. Second vehicle older same thing. It seems as if the cars that have Louisiana Plates on them is just something to stick you in if they are out of rentals. Very unsatisfied have been a loyal customer over 15 years. Get it together people need trustworthy rental cars. Even the driver that took me home noticed the same thing as I told them about ! read more

Absolutely terrible service!! I NEVER leave negative reviews unless the service is absolutely awful - this fits the bill!!! If you're trying to speak to someone at this branch - just don't. Multiple calls - with wait times greater than 20-30 minutes each time; hung up on twice after waiting this long (it was by the person at the branch who asked me to wait.) This happened while we had a rental from an auto accident. We needed to ask questions about return times and absolutely could not get anyone on the phone to answer the questions. Finally (while I was on hold yet again) I drove to the location to hopefully be able to speak to someone. Mind you, I was on hold yet again - this time for over 25 minutes. Upon arrival the front door was locked. The gates were all open and there was a guy washing and detailing cars in the back. I asked to speak to someone and the guy washing cars told me he would get someone. I went back to the front and watched someone CRAWL on the ground behind the counter so I would not see them; then watched the guy who was watching cars speak to them and then walk out the back and RUN to his vehicle - all in an attempt to not have to speak to me. Crazy thing is that our rental is not due back for several more days - but I had questions I needed answered so I could return the vehicle at the proper times/location. I guess Enterprise doesn't care about this. This behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional. I had a car wreck and had been without a car for 3 days and had called this location about a car. They fixed me up and had it ready up front and went over everything with me and showed me all about the car. I couldn't of had a better experience. I will definitely use this location if I ever need a rental again! Thank you Christina for your professionalism! read more

If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. My insurance called on Tuesday, I called on Thursday, we were told they would have a car for me at 12 on Friday. They did not. The man didn't try to help figure something out, and said they "might" have a car by 1. My husband was headed out of town and we have two kids. I couldn't wait. I will admit I got angry, and let the f-bomb slip. The man then made it impossible to get a car ANY WHERE in out area because of the "altercation" where I said one cuss word and left the building. read more

I have been a faithful enterprise customer for 10 years and travel frequently however; both times I have dealt with them here in Tyler Texas have been nothing short of a disaster. The first time was through expedia and when I went to the location to pick up my car they informed me they didn't have a car for me even though I reserved it days in advance, they didn't even bother to let me know ahead of time they wouldn't have a car for me. A few months later I reserved a car to drive to Dallas and after the sales rep tried to make me feel like an idiot for not purchasing their insurance (which I had to get pretty stern to make him lay off as he was laying it on thick with "oh, you would rather give your money to your insurance company") he put me in a death trap that rattled and rolled all the way to Dallas. I have never been more delighted to turn a vehicle back in. I used Hertz my last trip and they put me in a nice, clean and new vehicle. I think I will play it safe and stick with them from now on. read more

Stay out of this Enterprise. We have rented from Enterprise for the last 20 plus years. This experience was horrible. I called and made reservations and showed up to pick up my car the next day. At this location they wanted a phone bill, an electric bill or a cable bill...none of which I had on me. They said they wanted to do a "soft credit check " on me. Well, I wouldn't have minded if they had to bothered to tell me that when I made the reservations when I could have produced the needed documents. Needless to say, I didn't leave with a car..OH and when I happened to find an old electric bill in my glove box, they wouldn't accept it because it was older than 30 days...NOt worth the hassle. I went down the street and got a car from Hertz for half the price of what Enterprise had quoted me. Geesh! Changing my loyalty card to Hertz for the next twenty years. read more

My husband is a member and frequent renter at this location. We made a reservation and we're excited to have the 2018 Tahoe as promised. It took the stress off of us on a much needed vacation. The day before we leave they call and say the vehicle is unavailable and that was that. Nothing could be done over the phone. My husband leaves work and goes to the office and was treated horribly. He was upset after visiting with the staff. And I called and spoke with two managers William and Charlie. They searched locations and surrounding areas for a vehicle to accommodate our family with no luck due to one night notice. I tried calling the other rental place in town who now had a waiting list but the day of the reservation had a great deal unfortunately we went with this company. It's sad that no offers or apologies were given. We will take our truck on vacation,and when a future rental is needed we will go elsewhere. read more

Was lied too about being able to us a bank issued debt card. Caused me to miss an appointment and when I told the lady behind the counter what the main number told my about using the debt/credit card she basically said it wasn't her problem. Awful customer service and quite rude about the situation. Would absolutely not recommend any company that says one thing and then change the statement when it counts. read more

We have used Enterprise for many years and they are always reliable and have exceptional customer service but unfortunately this location does not share the same company view. After being involved in an accident, we were forced to get a rental on a last min. Notice. Being close to this location we chose this branch to have a reservation. When we arrived they did not have a vehicle for our allowed budget. Employee: Heather was not helpful in offering us any options. We ended up paying out of pocket for a vehicle upgrade just because they didn't have a car for our budget. One week later we were allowed an extension but Heather was yet very hesitant to find a rental that would fit our budget, she told us call OTHER enterprise branches for availability and that we needed to return the current vehicle to her branch, when all we needed to do is switch cars. We decided to go another near by branch and the customer service was like day and night. We were treated like the faithful customers we have always been. I HIGHLY suggest you go to another enterprise branch if you want a TRUE Enterprise experience. The hassle, headaches and extra money and time, is not worth dealing with the people at this branch. We've learned our lesson. read more

2 stars for Kellie who started helping me. She was apparently having a bad day because she seemed irritated the moment I walked in and said hi. She was not friendly and lacked tact. I told her when I brought the car back and she asked me to rate the service. She said she would note what I said but I noticed that she stopped typing when I gave her a 3 out of 5. The male manager actually stepped up and assisted me and finished out the transaction which I appreciated because he seemed to actually like his job. I give a 2 because I have rented cars several times but from a different location and have never had a problem. The transactions are always quick and painless when I rent from the airport. Other than the rudeness at Front St. in the office the rental in itself was great. Had the car for a week and got good gas mileage on the car and had no problems with it. The return transaction was fine as well. read more
