After about a week two men came, picked up my boat and took it in. After not hearing anything for three weeks, I called and was told they were waiting on parts. The following week (2 days shy of FOUR weeks) I drove in and talked with them directly. Brandon told me he would call me. Later that day, Brandon called me to give me a quote. He gave me a figure of over $1,900! I told him that all I wanted was a tune up and to have the lower unit grease changed. Two years earlier Nautical Mile repaired my outboard motor and charged me $900. I haven't taken it out but five times since then and it runs fine. I told him that I wouldn't pay anything like that and that I would pick it up myself. He told me the cost would be $225. "For what?" I asked. "For picking the boat up and diagnostics." I picked my boat up the next day. I won't be doing business with Nautical Mile Marine again. Bob Bradley

They supplied all life jackets we needed and a big tube to drag people around and a full tank of gas. Brittany was very thorough and explained all of the parts of the lake, what to watch out for and great instructions for driving the pontoon. We had so much fun and the lake was not busy at all. We wanted to show the kid Caddo lake so we drove from Dallas to do a tour with Captain Ron…read more Ron is a down home friendly guy who obviously loves people, his job, and Caddo lake. During the 90 minute boat tour, he was enthusiastic and passionate about the lake. He really seemed to enjoy sharing his immense knowledge the lake, both real and legend. I learned a lot and he made the tour very interesting. The day we went it was a bit chilly and overcast. It had just rained so the lake water was muddy, and therefore we did not see much wildlife, just a busy beaver and some blue herons. You can go during the summer when the water is clearer and see turtles and dragon flies. During the summer, the climate is much hotter and humid and there is little air flow on the lake, so be prepared to sweat. Cool and overcast actually was preferable IMO. The wife and I had toured the lake about a decade ago and we left from the northern part of the lake. Our opinion is that despite the fact that Captain Ron did a great job, the northern part of the lake is more interesting than the southern part where Captain Ron is now located.

They helped him pull off the perfect proposal and even stayed open later to help him out when he hit traffic coming from Frisco and got there much later than he had planned. Everyone he talked to was so sweet and genuinely excited for him. The boat and the lake were so lovely and we got the most stunning photos with the sunset. We really appreciate everything Lone Star Marina did to make sure everything went smoothly and their customer service was amazing. The boat looked clean and so nice in every photo and we couldn't be happier with our experience with them and with their boat!
