This location should be the model for customer service in our area. I reserved a car from another location, unfortunately they did not have a rental available so they sent me to this location. From entering the door, we were greeted by every employee who saw us. We had a short wait in line late weekday morning when Kevin helped us. He listened patiently to the predicament the other location put us in. He also did not have the same model that we reserved but based on his listening skills, he knew another model would be a perfect fit for us. A short wait in the waiting room, he had a clean car ready for us. I am extremely satisfied with the service and rental. We even received a follow up call asking if the rental was as expected. I was rear ended a little over a month ago. I was ok physically but my car needed to get a new bumper. The other driver's insurance, Liberty Mutual took responsibility and set up a rental here. The location was convenient, and they even gave me a ride from the collision center where my car was being repaired. I had a Toyota Camry as the rental vehicle. It wasn't bad but of course I'm used to my own car. Since I wasn't paying a dime out of pocket, I wasn't too picky. The employee who helped me out here, Charles was professional. If I ever need a car to rent for personal use, I would consider this location. read more

Pro: easy online reservation. Con: not knowing the full detail of the car you will be renting. Needed a car to rent for a summer vacation out so state. The experience was so-so, we rented a mini van using the online system to set up a pick up time and a return date. When choosing a car online it doesn't let you know what year the car is so when we went to pick up the car it was random if you get a newer car or an older car. The person at the desk didn't really tell us about the vehicle registration in case you are pull over by the police or get into an accident. They also require a 300 dollar deposit on top of the cost of the car. All in all it an ok place to rent a car. read more

I rented a car for 3 days and had a positive experience. Given the other very poor and mediocre reviews, I thought I'd share my experience. The Enterprise employee picked me up from the Audi dealership where my car was being serviced, so the drive was short. I was explained the cost of the rental, the return window, and other details about the car. I mentioned AAA discount but that was higher than the discount I had through the Audi dealership. I was not told what car I was being issued until I asked. I was assigned a Hyundai Sonata, a squeaky clean sparkly white car that I ended up taking to a car wash to return it to its glory after a random snowfall. The curb to turn in to the lot is high, so enter very slowly to avoid damage to the undercarriage of your car. Also, watch out for the huge potholes on the lot. You really have to dodge them or drop into them at a very low speed. When I went to drop off the car, there was no wait. There were several employees helping others. I received excellent customer service, was able to check out quickly, and was offered a ride home. I was going to call an Uber, but I was thankful I didn't need to. I recommend them! read more

I was sent here by Geico to get a rental. When I went to get the car, the agent asked me if I was okay with paying $6 a day out of pocket. When I said no because it is covered under my policy, he said okay. Then he asked me repeatedly how long I would need the car for. I had already told him that the shop had not told me yet but he continued to ask numerous times. Then gave me the most garbage car that I have ever been given at any rental company. The car was dirty and smelled like smoke, the steering wheel was worn and sticky, there were numerous scratches and chips, the windshield was cracked and the bumper was popping out. The manager is really knowledgeable and truthfully everyone I've encountered at this location goes above and beyond the call of duty. They always offer too drop me off or pick me up which is a plus. I have previously rented from the location on tech road in March and the Laurel location in February mostly for business. I set a shuttle pickup for Monday at 8 am. There was no call and no show. The collision center called them and they said they would be there to pick me up in 25 min which it was 840am when I was picked up. The rental car office was only 7 mins away. They were putting me in a Nissan Sentra that looked like it had red gum or wax on the trunk amongst some other sticky substances. The gentleman said they could run it through the car wash again which it would have taken a hand washing to really clean it. I asked for another car and either I took that car or paid out of pocket to upgrade to an suv. I ended up with a Nissan Rogue. I needed to get to work so I was trying to just get a car and go. The car was on a quarter tank of gas and it smelled like someone left the windows down and it rained. The smell got stronger when I turned the air on. I called to swap the car out on Tuesday...today. The manager called me at 430pm and asked if I wanted to come in and swap out the car and I left right then. I tried calling to ensure she would wait as I would get there a little after 5pm..no answer. I get there and she is gone. She never called me back to check and see how far away I was or if I was still coming as I tried calling and no answer when I was on my way. I think it was very unprofessional that I wasted my time driving there and I was not told that if I could not make it by 5pm, come tomorrow. I can't take off to get another car as I had wasted time on Monday waiting on the shuttle. read more

Thomas at Enterprise Outlet Dr. Silver Spring is down right Amazing! My car was taken in for service so I needed a rental while the work was being done. He made sure I was picked up from the location and brought to the Enterprise pickup area. He made sure I had the best car on the lot and it was clean and gased up just for me. After 2 weeks I got my car back only to find out the repairs were not completed correctly which meant I needed another rental...smh! Thomas came to the rescue yet again. He felt so bad for me; he went out of his way to do anything to make my situation better and it wasn't even his fault! He even called different locations to find out what cars were available so I could have my pick! And it wasn't just me, I watched him attend to other customers and he was just as professional, courteous and kind. While I was waiting for the repair shop to send in the paper work, I witnessed him spend at least 25 minutes answering the questions of a nervous customer. He patiently walked them through every feature of the rental as they requested and he did it without an attitude....like I said he is Amazing! I would come back to this location in a heartbeat! Requested a lux Sudan and they made some excuse as to why I couldn't have what I reserved and they gave me a Tahoe. It was either a Tahoe or a Yukon XL, these was no way I could drive a vehicle that big. A nice Tahoe but smoked in. The next day when I got to work I was a mess, sneezing and congested from the smell on the drive to work. Took that back and magically thy had a lux Sudan like I had requested. It was much nicer easier to drive and they had no issue with exchanging it. I should not have had to bring this car all the way back to exchange it when I had a reservation. I got an Audi A6, which was nice and clean but is smelled like Porta potty cleaner. You all know that smell. It was terrible but at least is was not smoke. This should not be so hard. read more

Ever since you guys have removed Ivan and Yaya the service at this office is horrific! The environment is unfriendly, unwelcoming and aloof. Your associates with the exception of Joseph, are devoid any customer service skills and there is no attempt to engage customers who spend thousands of dollars with the company. I am a Platinum member and I rent from Enterprise every week, there are times when I make a reservation and show up and have to wait sometimes an hour before I get a car and don't complain. I have never been charged for returning a car an hour late. Today that happened and the person. ( I think her name is Tamia) exhibited utter disdain. There are plenty of rental car places to choose from. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! They have lousy customer service, do not value you as a customers and flawed business policies. I went here on a Wednesday to reserve a car rental for Friday. It was essential I have this car! I was renting with a debit card. I secured the rental for a return at the Bethesda location. I even offered to pay in advance. When I came in to pick up my car I was told I could not have it because my pay stub did not have my addess on it. Even though they allowed to go to my company's WEBSITE that verified my employment status AND pay I was still denied a car. WORSE was the manager and workers who failed to even try to work out a suitable arrangment to rent the car. I was IRATE and cussed them all out. Pitiful customer service from Nathanial Jones and co. I told them they were losing someone who WANTED to give them my money and be a longstanding and loyal customer to them. After this experience I told them that I would NEVER come back to this location and NEVER rent from Enterprise again. I suggest you do the same! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! We have rented from Enterprise at the former Briggs Chaney location for years and now at their new location on Outlet Drive. We like the selection of cars and helpful staff, however, we do not like the high additional $300 deposit that is required on top of the rental price. I was in a car accident. The other insurance company initially set up my reservation at a different location. After calling the Outlet Drive location and being told that I could not transfer the reservation, I began to walk the 6 miles to the Cherry Hill Road location. I called Enterprise on Cherry Hill Road and the lady there changed the reservation to Outlet Drive for me. At the Outlet Drive location the manager Ivan Deyanov asked for an alternate phone number. I work at home and do not have an alternate number. Then he asked for an emergency contact number. He would not rent the car which is being paid for by an insurance company to me. I became upset and started to cry. He became agitated with me and said that he felt threatened. He said I had to leave and refused to proceed with the reservation. I am 5'2 and was standing on the other side of a glass shield. He is 6 feet tall. I did not even raise my voice. This was my first experience being blatantly racially profiled. I played the game and apologized for being upset. He proceeded with the reservation. Another person at the location pulled me aside and said that what he did was inappropriate. I have a leisure reservation at this location for my birthday. I am not sure that I feel safe picking my car up there. He might go in the system and cancel it. My vehicle got hit by a State Farm insured person and I had to take my vehicle in for body work and Enterprise happened to have a contact with the body shop whenever such is the case. I was shuttled in and dropped right in front of the store. The first individual I met claimed to be the manager (though I later found out he was standing in for the actual manager who's female. This individual was so frustrating to deal with that I asked to deal with someone else. )The second per was much more helpful, the problem is the minute I drove off, I realized the vehicle shook terribly. I called enterprise as I was told I could swap the vehicle. I spoke with someone in corporate that assured me that I would receive a call within an hour from a manager and for 4 days I never heard back. luckily my vehicle was ready quick and I returned the vehicle. The actual manager (I cannot recall her name but she manages the Enterprise-rent-a-car at the Briggs Chaney location) called me to get a feel for my experience at her store and I told her my experience. She promised to look into the issue and said once we get off the phone she'd send me a 20% discount coupon on my next rental and it won't expire. I never got the email and the 2 times I've called and asked to speak with her have proven impossible and even though I leave messages, I never get a call back!!! Most annoying is I told the manager that I had planned to write about my experience or reach out to corporate but her calling me and offering the 20% discount, appeased the situation... only for her to drop the ball and make the whole experience even more egregious. read more

I HAVE to recommend this location. They made sure I was happy the entire month I had a rental. Long story short, I purchased a car that ended up having a mechanical issue and while the dealership fixed the car, Enterprise at Automobile blvd in Silver Spring made sure I was a happy customer. They picked me up from the dealer, helped me uninstall both the baby car seats, helped me carry all my stuff to the rental, offered me a nice size rental that ended up being a brand new vehicle, called to make sure my account was always up-to-date to avoid charges, the one charge that happened automatically they credited right back...I totally recommend this Enterprise and would use them again in/when needed. The car they gave me had windshield wiper fluid in the appropriate tank under the hood, but the sprayer didn't work. I didn't realize this until after I had driven the car away from the rental location, and I understood how they could overlook that. (They probably don't test the windshield sprayer on each returned car, although perhaps they should consider doing so). Although I could understand how they might've missed that, when I returned the car and pointed out the problem, they apologized but offered nothing in return -- didn't offer to discount the price, didn't offer a discount on my next rental, etc. Nothing to make up for the fact that the car hadn't worked as it should have. And while I was waiting for them to check the rental over when I returned it, I heard another customer talking to one of the rental agents about a van he had tried to reserve for a vacation. He had apparently called to reserve by phone, and they told him that he could just come in to pick up a van a couple days before he needed it because they always had a van available at this time of year. Well, when he came to pick it up on a Wednesday, lo and behold, both of their vans were already rented. So they told him they would try to get him a van from another Enterprise location, and asked him to come back the next day. So the "next day" was the day I was returning my vehicle (I overheard the whole backstory that I just recounted when the other customer was explaining it to the manager). The customer comes back and says he wanted to check on the van that they said they'd try to get him from another location. He walks up to talk to the same service agent he'd talked to the day before. She recognized him, explained that she remembered telling him that she'd try to get him a van from elsewhere, and then said she "forgot" to make any inquiries elsewhere (i.e., she had done nothing since he talked to her the day before). And she didn't even apologize for that. Just said, "Oh yeah, I remember that. I forgot to do it yesterday." Then she suggests that he come back in later the same day because they "might" have a van by then. He explained that his family vacation depended on getting the van, he already had reservations for lodging, etc., and the agent showed no sense of urgency to help him. She didn't even call somewhere else to check whether they had a van available at that time before telling the customer he could leave. She just said, "Come back later, we might have one then." Worst customer service I've ever seen at a car rental place. But I'm still giving them two stars because that incident that I just described didn't involve my own rental, but rather involved someone else's. So the two stars is based on them not offering any compensatory discount when I pointed out to them that they had given me a vehicle with a faulty wiper-spray mechanism. If you have a choice, you should go somewhere else. This place is obviously not customer-service oriented. read more

There are so many Enterprise Rent-a-Car places in this one Autopark on Automobile Blvd, you can get so super confused on which one to go and which one you set up the reservation with so make sure when you reserve it if they are inside a dealership or not and if so, which dealership are they in. Whew! Now, I have been trying to rent a car for a while now and always have issues because I don't use major credit cards. This place allows you to use a Debit card but they place a $200 hold on your account until you return the car. All they need to see is a current paystub and they will hook you up with a car and send you on your way. Customer Service is great and so are the prices. read more

My dealership has a standing relationship with this location to provide loaner vehicles for service, but how this location treated me has quite probably ruined my standing relationship with the dealer for sending me here. During the usual procedure of documenting any pre-existing damage, they refused to document anything I found, instead, insisting on providing some excuse why it didn't matter. I don't care - I'm not buying your vehicle, I just don't want to pay for some damage that's already there. And when I insist, since I could be the one billed for it, the last thing I need is commentary about my 'attitude.' My attitude is, I don't want to pay for pre-existing damage, and if they wouldn't document it, I would. During a previous visit, they tried to give me a vehicle that had been improperly repaired following what seemed to be a direct impact with the curb - mismatched wheels on a FWD car, one wheel still damaged. In short, they don't take proper care of their abused fleet of vehicles, and they get personally insulted when you don't shut up and take whatever vehicle they give you, regardless of condition. Not worth doing business with, not even worth going to my dealer if this is who they make me deal with. read more

I had to rent 5 cars over a period of about 4 weeks as my personal car was in the shop with an emissions problem that was difficult to diagnose and difficult to repair. 3 of the rentals I paid for and my Chevy dealer paid for 2. I got 2 Nissan cars, one a sedan and the other a small sport utility (which took bumps like a Jeep), an Impala, a Chrysler 300 and a Dodge Challenger. All were clean and in good shape. The staff, especially Mike and the manager Sophia, was professional and sympathetic to my plight. After a while we were all on a first name basis. I have no problems with my experience but I would offer 2 suggestions. Rent the cars with a full tank of gas! Asking the client to return a car with a little over a quarter tank or a little under a half tank is silly and can never be accurate. Also, although it is stated in the rental agreement (I didn't notice this part) make it clear to the customer that if they have a transponder to put it on the dash of the rental car. I received 3 charges of $13 each for Enterprise to process the fees from the state for using the inter-county connector. It would be helpful to highlight this clause for the client. The extra $39 did catch me off guard. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to deal with these folks again. A couple of the rentals were last minute and several times I needed to keep the car longer than planned. They were accommodating and pleasant in all cases. read more

Enterprise was helpful in providing a car (through Honda) as I waited a few weeks for my airbag recall part to arrive. They were quite busy (with the recall rentals, I assume) and preferred not to pick me up to retrieve my rental car, but they would have if I had no other option. This is the worst Enterprise i have ever visited! From management to the rental crew They are RUDE worst customer service i have ever experienced.The Asian gentleman Richie fumbles his words as he is trying to make up a story as he is questioned. Then passed us off to his colleague Annie the Hispanic lady. She wasnt in the mood to assist as her demeanor changed and became defensive, even rolling her eyes at a point then smiling. They get attitudes when you ask for detailed charges on the rental you just returned. I was given 3 different prices of the balance i had remaining. When asked Annie became combative and defensive and rude. Telling me the prices all come out the same after i was using my calculator. Can i not do my own calculations? If i feel i am being cheated. I would NEVER return there to rent a vehicle if my life depended on it and wouldnt recomment it to anyone who is used to stellar Customer Service. To note i never raised my voice or became rude. Then to get a ride back to the house was like pulling teeth. As stated in the Commercials, being their slongan "we'll even give you a ride back" is not honored at this location. When asked Richie for an update on the return ride we recieved the good ole run around and pass off even "oh we went to get gas" why not use the vehicle i just returned and filled with gas to do the return. Waited 30 min with a lot full of cars. The lot attendant rwturned with the company shuttle. Waited another 10 mins or so then after all the wait, the vehicle we returned was the same vehicle that the lot attendant used to take us home. I had to go back to Enterprise today due to the vehicle that I had just wasn't my personal preference, so I contacted Isaac the Branch Manager prior to today and informed him and he ensured me that it will be no problem for me to switch out my current vehicle for a new one. I went this morning and was serviced by Daniel the Assistant Manager he was Great. Very customer service oriented and focused on my needs. All my notes were already documented from Isaac I didn't have much to do but just to show up..also Tucker one of the sales employees was great as well. Very polite and helpful !!
