"Confirmed: Enterprise Rent-A-Car Reservation" - Not! Made phone reservation for Saturday rental and received email confirmation, but Natick location wouldn't honor it. This left us stranded through Monday afternoon. Missed family reunion in Maine. Local branch says online or phone reservations can't be relied on so you have to call location, stay on hold for 20 minutes before you can reach a human. Spent $50 on Lyft rides, going first to Framingham location with initial reservation (claimed nothing was in the system) before heading to Natick for follow-on reservation. Terrible! read more

I ended up needing a van for a family party and was on short notice, so it was a challenge. Enterprise is my go-to rental agency, and this was my first time renting from the Natick branch. My car was in the repair shop so I needed something to hold me over. I was able to rent a car easily from Enterprise, and it was ready when I arrived. The only bummer was that they were having a busy Saturday, and their "Pick Me Up" service wasn't available. I ended up having to take an Uber over to the location. Not the end of the world, but it would have been an awesome time to have access to the service. Enterprise is also part of the Emerald Rewards Program, so you can rack up points and upgrades if you go with them. I thought that was pretty neat. read more

Here is the summary of my Reservation:++++++++++++++++++++++ Pick Up Location Hours for the week of : September 9, 2013 Monday 7:30 am 6:00 pm Tuesday 7:30 am 6:00 pm Wednesday 7:30 am 6:00 pm Thursday 7:30 am 6:00 pm Friday 7:30 am 6:00 pm Saturday 9:00 am Noon Sunday 9:00 am Noon Car and Rate Information: Intermediate Toyota Corolla, Ford Focus or similar 129.95 USD (1 Week @ 129.95) 14.00 USD (VEH LICENSE COST RECOVERY FEE) 0.60 USD (PARKING SURCHARGE) 144.55 USD (Subtotal) 9.04 USD (SALES TAX) Total charges 153.59 USD Additional surcharges, local taxes, etc. may apply. Ok Let's go through what happened: Disappointment #1 : I asked for a Sedan Car, they offered me a SUV car. Disappointment #2: They don't usually fill the tank. You know the fuel tank reader will be somewhere between this line and that line... 'The car has half tank, no idea.. how many gallon? Disappointment #3: This car gives low mileage. 'Ok in that case, you can return the car with empty tank" How can you return the car with empty tank? Disappointment #4: "We advise you take Damage Waiver" Ok. I said yes, since I was not sure whether my insurance covers or not. Papers signed and I got the vehicle. After an hour I got a call from my insurance that current insurance will cover the rental insurance and I am not required to take Damage Waiver(additional cost to the rental) and I am eligible for $24.00 for travel reimbursement (my car met with an accident). I called Enterprise Natick and told them, I don't require Damage Waiver and my insurance will reimburse only $24.00 for a day for travel. The per day cost was $26.$$. The person who took the call told me that they have tie-up with my insurance company and that will directly bill my insurance and reduce my rate from $26 to $24 per day without removing the Damage Waiver and I can still have Damage Waiver and my rate would be only $24 that includes Car Rental, Damage Waiver and other taxes and fees. I don't require to pay anything from my side. All these happened over the phone. After 10 days I called Enterprise and said I would be returning the car and I need drop to the Body Shop. They told me that I can leave the car @ Body Shop and again I clarified about payments, the person who attended the call told me that I don't have any due and they would be billing directly to my insurance. After 10 days, I don't remember exactly, I got a call from Enterprise that they received payment for 8 days of rental and they needed the body shop address and phone number so that they can call them to confirm that it took 10 days to fix my car and charge insurance an additional two day. Disappointment #4: After one month I was charged $ 180 on my Credit Card.. What? Yes... Damage Waiver $16 other fees for 10 Days..... Disappointment #5: I called Enterprise.... Response #1 : "We will find out and call you tomorrow, it looks like we updated the system. Whom did you talk to?" (No call on the next day) Response #2: We wanted to call you back. Good that you called... generally we don't take any make any adjustment in the rental plan over the phone. ( I explained again over the phone) Ok, you need to speak with the person who worked on the changes, tomorrow please call back" Response #3 (Called again, explained again.) " Yes we received the payment from your insurance company $24 per day and for 10 days of Damage Waiver $180," (somehow the Maths does not add up 1+1 = 2, this is what I learnt; it is not 3. With Car Rental, Damage Waiver and other taxes and fees the rental rate was only less than $27, and they agreed to reduce to $24 when I said I don't want Damage Waiver included in the plan. They charged the Insurance company $ 24 per day and charged me $16+ Per day. How is that work? Wow... with all the pain still I paid some $32..... Lessons Learned: 1. Never discuss over the phone and agree upon anything. 2. What is in Paper is very important. Take time and read through and clarify every thing before you sign the papers. read more

There are many choices when it comes to car rental businesses these days. I was trapped by a blown engine at a nearby dealership, and I requested a rental. The service by Brian, the manager, and his staff, was very polite, professional, and the training was in place always. I did have one major snafu with regard to the insurance coverage, when I had a drop-off at another location, but upon calling this particular Entreprise directly, I addressed my concerns with Brian. He listened to the many facts, weighed them, and presented the policy. I'm disabled, and he took this into consideration, providing me with a discount afterwards. I hung up the phone feeling satisfied. I do have coverage with my own insurance company, and certainly, I did not want to pay for double coverage, and would never have opted for it. read more

The branch manager Andrew was one of the worst customer service people I have ever encountered. I came into the shop needing a rental for the weekend. After requesting an SUV - he offered me a bright yellow Nissan Juke he had on lot. I asked about the Santa Fe that was there and he informed me that they pride themselves on service and it was dirty so he couldn't rent it to me. I asked how long it would take them and he then proceeded to almost scold me and say "I'm gonna break something to you - no one cares about the color. I'm friends with so many state troopers and they don't care at all". Well thanks Andrew - but my friend that is going away with me for the weekend won't fit in the back of the yellow juke so regardless of the color - I would rather the Santa Fe. The girl that was helping us check in (who was AWESOME - can't remember her name unfortunately) said that if we waited 10 minutes she would clean the Santa Fe for me. Luckily my car was fixed earlier then expected so we dropped the Santa Fe off about 2 hours later and there were about 10 cars in the lot. Andrew never mentioned that in addition to the Santa Fe - there was multiple cars coming back into their location that day I could have waited for. read more

They added optional insurance coverage without my request or knowledge. This is not merely shady, it's illegal.

I needed a rental car that was being paid for through insurance while my car was in the body shop. I called ahead of time and made a reservation for later in the day. Upon arrival, I was told that the only sedan available was a 2017 Nissan Sentra. I agreed since it was almost 6pm, and I needed a car to get to work the next day. I was then informed that the car had no gas in it, and was told if I waited 15 min, they'd fill up the tank for me. No problem.... 15 minutes later, I go outside to inspect the car (with the same employee who left to fill up the gas tank), and the exterior of the car is clearly in desperate need of a car wash. I get in the car, and it wreaks of cigarette smoke, the steering wheel was sticky, there was a cigarette burn on the driver side headrest and nasty brown stains on the seats. The entire car was filthy, and I couldn't believe the employee would rent a car out to a customer in that condition. I had a $45/day rental allowance through my insurance, and there is no way that that Sentra should've costed even $5/day. I returned the car immediately after work the following day, and rented a brand new car from Hertz down the street in Natick for an additional 2 weeks while my car was being repaired. Will never return to this location. read more

I have been renting from this location for past 3-4 years now and have always had a positive experience. The staff is friendly and they offer a pick-up and drop service within an area-radius. This time my car had an issue with the car undercarriage rubber padding. It came off while I was 300 miles way. I called up their roadside assistance and they helped me promptly with a replace car from the nearest location. I'll be definitely renting from them again. read more

I rented a car for long July 4th week-end picking it close to 6 pm, got charged for full day. (I know that Hertz charges based on 24-hr). As soon as I returned the car and dropped the key off in lockbox on Mon July 4, I realized that my speed pass is inside the car. I called and spoke with Ashley, the manager, at 8 am Tue, asking her to send me my speed pass. She said it was impossible, as though there was no post office in the neighborhood or people never forget anything, or their policy does not allow them to return their customers' belongings back. She then said she will have to check on my speedpass and will call me back (the tone of that statement meant to get me off the phone more than seeking to help my situation). I did not hear back for the next 4 hours and called back around noon, when I was told by staff they did not hear anything about my speedpass from their manager was not there but she would call me back. , I just have to wait. Needless to say, I had to send my friend pick it up for me and NEVER got a call back from anyone at that Enterprise location. Their customer orientation has to be revised. I will never believe that it's uncommon for their customer to forget something in the car. This aspect of customer relation has to recieve just as much customer care as providing them with the car. I would not recommend this location. read more

I rented a vehicle when my car was being repaired due to an accident. The team there was outstanding and were very upfront about everything at the beginning of the rental so there were no surprises at the end! Sadly I was involved in a car accident (I was rear ended again!). Each time I used Enterprise in Natick for a rental car while my car was being repaired. I had a fantastic experience both times. The people I spoke to on the phone were very nice and helpful. They came and picked me up right at my house. They billed the insurance company directly, so I didn't have to deal with it. When my car was repaired, they drove me right to the auto body shop. Brian Lane and Harrison Everts were outstanding. Nice guys and very professional. I hope I don't get in any more car accidents, but if I do, I would absolutely go back to Enterprise in Natick! read more

I had the same debit card hassle ! I called several times to confirm my reservation and never ever did anyone mention credit cards only policy. If that's the policy then fine but I had many conversations with different reps before I came to get the car and I feel like they should have mentioned this, I needed a van for the day just to bring a group of kids somewhere for a birthday party. Stressed out beyond belief when I got there just grabbed my debit card was willing to have any amount necessary authorized . I live 20 minutes away. On my way back home to get my credit card I called my sister who offered to switch cars with me (she has a minivan) saved myself 140 dollars cost me only a bottle of wine and a tank of gas!!!! read more

We have reserved a car only to be used for a road test. Unfortunately they have a corporate policy for not letting drivers use it for test purposes. Problem is no one at the time working at Natick office is aware of this and kind enough to help us pick smallest car in their lot - very friendly. Since, we couldn't use it for road test they have kindly agreed to not charge for the car and professionally handled it. It would be great if they had followed us day earlier or the day of my road test and saved me time (rescheduling road tests is a mess). I would still rent a car with them in the future if needed. read more

I rent from Enterprise because they're spec'd by my company, and it's convenient. The cars are never as clean as Avis/Hertz etc., and the windows are never clean, but the employees are always friendly. read more
