I think this should have been a recipe for a quick walk in and out. Especially since I was called by someone at the branch on 4/8 to confirm my reservation. I expressed several times the importance of me having a large vehicle when I got there at 8am on 4/10. I even called back on 4/9 to confirm again. I did this because Enterprise is notorious for not having your "reserved" vehicle. I get there and they are treating me as if all is well, check me in, etc. then the guy says, "I'm sorry to tell you this, but I'm gonna have to find a vehicle for you". I said, "find it on the lot, right". He said, "no, another location". I was livid! I had other people waiting on me, my long trip was stalled as I waited for an hour for someone to go and get a vehicle from another location. There were three other customers in the waiting area with the same problem. And, they told us all the same thing, "this is a business where we depend on people dropping cars off, but it doesn't always happen". This doesn't work for the customer, because all we know is that we "reserved" a certain type of vehicle at a certain time. We can't do your business do you. No matter how many free days or other forms of compensation you give, this practice will never be okay. This was the last straw for me. I always thank God for delay, but it hits a little differently when the delay is due to consistently inconsistent business practices. Enterprise, you must do better! I forgot to also mention that the car was not cleaned well when I got it and had crumbs everywhere, it smelled of marijuana by the second day (I guess they sprayed something in it that later wore off) and it had over 70k miles on it.

It was July 3, and I wanted the rental to get to Kentucky, but I figured I would have rather taken my own vehicle rather than run the risk of the exploitation and poor customer service described by other reviewers. I would like to thank those reviewers, first of all, for making me aware of the possibilities. When I arrived, Brian greeted me professionally and invited me inside. Ready with all of my questions, I began to try getting his word on the exact nature of my rental agreement with this company. He continued to be very professional and compliant, saying I could leave my personal vehicle parked at the curb, I could return my keys the next day (July 4th) even though they would be closed without an additional day of charges, and I would not have a gas charge unless I signed up for one.He quoted my total cost with taxes, and gave the usual rundown that an additional $200 would be put on hold with my credit card, but would be returned upon successful return of the vehicle. At this point, it started to rain--hard. Brian took it upon himself to go out in the storm to bring the vehicle around to me at the curb so I wouldn't have to stand in the downpour. I drove the vehicle to Kentucky and back, returned the key in the drop box (which despite fine print on that box saying a fee would be added for days they are closed, Brian reassured me there would be no such charge), and went home to make sure the $200 would be returned in a couple of business days. And--refreshingly--it was returned without incident. Perhaps it was because my expectations for the worst were present at first, but I had a very pleasant experience renting from this location, and would do so again. Perhaps this location has had a change of staff, or I caught a good day. Either way, I wanted to put my two cents in so that you can rest assured there are at least a couple of good eggs at this Hertz location!

I contacted Enterprise for a pick up around 9 am to get a car, but that didn't happen...they were out of cars as well... disappointed. The agent I spoke with took my information and informed me she would contact me once a car comes available. Around 1 pm I called back, and the agent informed me that someone was dropping off a car then. I headed there with no hesitation at all. The guy that assisted me was very pleasant. I had to pay a $150 deposit for the vehicle....not so happy about that, but I was finally getting a car so YAYYY for me. The car I was renting was literally just dropped off...as soon as the previous renter pulled up I got in it. This car should've been wiped and vacuum....
