I rented a Waggoner Jeep extended (so really long) for the purpose of moving furniture and other things for my daughter going to college. The car is packed. And we went to leave. I was last in the caravan. As soon as I started moving the back trunk opened. I read everything google had to say and tried everything. I called the emergency number at Enterprise but it was zero help because they could tow this car but not give me a new one and this car is FILLED with college moving stuff. I have spent hours on hold. No one is able to offer any help. At this point, I am not going to drive to my duaghter's college tonight but she is and she'll have no bed, no where to sleep etc. To have zero ability to help in a situation like this is incredibly disappointing. I rented a GRand Wagoneer to drive my kiddo to college. car is all loaded and my kids car left ahead of me. But when I tried to leave the house the trunk would not stay closed. four three hours I have tried to get help to no avail. I would give it a zero rating but that is not an option. To make a long story short, my wife called on 8/22/24 to make a reservation at the Enterprise on Columbia highway for a rental car to be dropped off in Athens Tn. The car was to be picked up on 8/24. She was running late to pick up the car and called ahead to advise she would be running late. They informed her they had no reservation for her. The original person she talked to said they would email her reservation ( they didn't ) . They did let my wife know she had a Nissan Rogue reserved. The Athens location called her and told her where the drop off key box location was. Enterprise in Columbia said the only vehicles they had left were for local and she would be charged over a dollar per mile for one of those as well as a 500.00 deposit. No sympathy was shown to her by this location. I spoke with the " manager " of this location on 8/26. He was sympathetic and said he would investigate and call me back. Crickets. I know customer service for the most part does not exist anymore, but Enterprise took no customer service to a new level of bad. We will never go back and I am sharing with my friends this bad experience read more

This location and its manager, JOY were amazingly helpful and emphatic after my car was hit on the interstate. They were great and even helped me deal with Geico when they decided they were no longer going to pay for the rental, despite my car not being fixed. They were always pleasant on the phone, responsive, and even took it upon themselves to call geico and try to get them to do the right thing. I have actually used this Rent-A-Car company a few times now. When I had a car accident, enterprise was able to loan me a car while I waited for a settlement. I had a great experience overall. My mom and I have actually made two trips down to Nashville, Tennessee cents 2020 began. We have rented a car each time, as their prices are very reasonable. We have been able to get a nice, four-door car with lots of bells and whistle's for about $30 a day. If you were going to put a lot of mileage on your car due to traveling, you cannot beat the 30 bucks a day to rent a car from Enterprise. We made our reservations about a week in advance. We were able to pick it up Friday morning at 8 AM. We returned from Nashville on Sunday evening, but since enterprise was not open late Sunday night, they allowed us to return the car first thing at 8:00 AM Monday morning without being charged extra. I love that this enterprise location is located in the fields Ertel area. It is very easy to get to, and for any out-of-towners, it is located right off of 71. So, rented a car from this place for almost 8 months because of an accident. Bottom line it the company is so big the DO NOT care at all about us the little guys. This location is poorly managed and we were charged at least four different rates during our rental We were then told to go online and we could get a better rate. I ended being told to go to the airport and rent a car and it would save me $ 200.00. They are not honest or they are just clueless. Upon return of the rental, Bryan Kieffer helped me bring my bags from the car into the Enterprise location, where I was able to wait for my Uber to the airport. I'm so impressed with these associates! I always rent through Enterprise, but their service prompted me to send a mass text message to my coworkers, friends, and family stating that Enterprise is the only way company to use when renting a car. Renting a car from here is like playing Wheel of Fortune, you never know what you are going to get. I've rented from this location for over 8 years and have never been into my car in less than a half-hour. I'm not even sure why they have a reservation system, they never have the car you 'ordered'. For example today they gave an 80 year old lady a Crown Victoria...she wanted a "small" car. What really sealed the deal for me though was today's experience. The guy at the counter asked me where I was going, I told him "Georgia...leaving at 3:30 am.". He asked if I wanted gas in it, I thought that would be a good idea seeing as Chevy Tahoe's need a lot of it (I ordered a full-size). 20 mins later viola the massive car is returned with a quarter tank of gas. This location will charge you hidden fees upon your return. I returned the vehicle I was renting today and found $34 in hidden cost I wasn't aware of. When I asked, I was flat out lied to about how/why the cost was there. This is the 2nd time I 've used this location and both times they raised my blood pressure. While waiting for someone to come pick me up, they had more than one employee there so I'm not certain why I couldn't be accommodated. I have had really poor experiences at this location. The last time I made a reservation here, they did not have the car I reserved days in advance (it was there, but I could not have it because it was due for an oil change)...so I had to wait for someone to return a car...they gave me that car in filthy condition (sticky stuff all over steering wheel and console) with less than a half of tank of fuel. I had a long road trip and needed to be on the phone for work constantly, so when I discovered the 12V power outlet did not work, I came back to the location to trade cars. They did not have another car and said I could wait until someone showed up to return a different car. I did not wait because I had a meeting in Atlanta to get to. Thanks to having no power in the car, I had to pull over and take my conference call somewhere where I could pug in. Between their initial delay, the time spent returning to Enterprise to try to get a new car and having to stop and find a place to plug in, I missed my meeting in Atlanta. Thanks, Enterprise! There were about 8-10 clueless people "working" in the location, though...actually just sitting at their stations doing nothing. 10 people...0 cars....wrong equation. Never again. The truly funny part is that when I got the e-mail survey, I told them how bad my experience was. Did I get an apologetic response? No...I got a return e-mail saying "thanks for sharing your experience...please share it on Yelp" with a link to Yelp. OK...if you insist! read more

Reserved a Hyundai Elantra (or similar) @ Enterprise in Opelika, AL a day prior and received "upgrade" to a new Nissan Pathfinder since at 0910 hrs they only had trucks and SUVs left. It happens. Brought own GPS, had bluetooth, good AC and cruise control so I was set for 300 mile 1-way trip to the Cool Springs Enterprise in Tennessee. Fueled Nissan nearby upon arrival and turned in vehicle quickly and easily. Staff was very friendly and professional at both locations. Service was quite fast. Cool Springs Enterprise member offered and drove me to my final destination. Overall a very pleasant experience and would do it again if needed. read more

I returned my rental car here. The manager was outright belligerent. She was looking for a fight. The 2 people directly in front of me stormed out because she mistreated them so badly. One person, an international renter, mentioned how enterprise works in Canada trying to be nice. She looked up at them and said "I've never been to Canada, so I don't know what you're talking about". Needless to say, they didn't get a car and she treated them like total shit. She found a scratch on my car. The scratch was there from the start. In fact, my mom pointed it out immediately when she saw the car. So I was 100% sure it was already existing. This was a rental arranged via insurance. I had no walk around to inspect the car. It was rainy when I picked up the car. This manager had zero sympathy, zero empathy. In fact, she was looking for a fight. When I asked to talk to the manager, she responded, "I am the manager". I asked to talk to her direct report. She said "I am the manager, you can talk to nobody". I said I was going to talk to her manager. She said "That won't happen". Never have I been treated so belligerently, in any commercial experience. Never have I been treated so unprofessionally. I'm not certain if this is what Enterprise is as a company, but I'm going to stay away in the future just in case. But the key here, beyond everything else, is STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. BEWARE sneaky people here that want to rip you off. I asked for $15 dollar a day insurance, and mind you, I was very clear on exactly on that and only that. I've had this car rented for a little over a month and took it back today. To my surprise the bill came out to be over $165 more than I expected it to be. After realizing this, I asked where the 165 was coming from and they said from where you initialed for five dollars a day roadside assistance. Mind you, once again I was very clear that I just wanted insurance. When I was checking out a month ago they were really rushing me, and you know how they walk you through the paperwork and guide you where to initial here here and here ect. Well I got screwed. They were not willing to work with me in any way shape or from. Very disappointing. Will never use enterprise again, and I would advise you not to either. I know stuff happens but when a Company is not willing to make things right in any way whatsoever... That is just not right. read more

I've rented from Enterprise for years, but this location is possibly the worst. Long story short, rented with a debit card and brought latest water bill as they require. The lady checking me in said it wasn't the most recent. I told her it was. She didn't believe me. We waited 15 minutes for the water company to send the "most recent" bill. It never arrived. I was required to go home and being another bill. Brought in the mortgage and the first comment from the associate was "there's no late fee on here". That's because I pay my bills on time. I was floored. I emailed the branch manager and never heard back from him. Must be why this branch has such terrible reviews. Save yourself the hassle and go to Hertz or go the enterprise in Antioch. I traveled to Brentwood for a work related event and used enterprise because it was nearby and would pick me up. Unfortunately they have a driver that is beyond rude. He was scheduled to pick me up at 5pm and I was waiting in the lobby with coworkers ten minutes before the pickup time. after a few minutes of waiting I received a phone all from the enterprise office stating that the driver was looking for me. I told her I was by he door and after a minute or two We found each other. That's when he started to make me feel as though I were bothering him by giving me a ride. He asked why I didn't answer the phone when he called and I stated the phone never rang. Turns out he was calling the wrong number but of course he didn't own his mistake or apologize For his tone. He said I called your name in there several times and nobody knew you and you didn't answer. Then he complained about the time and how he needed to be elsewhere by 5:30 even though we were 10 minutes earlier than scheduled pick up time, He complained about traffic and all the while seemed irritated that I was in the car. The ONLY reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the two reps working indoors at the desk who were both very professional And helpful. I will be f/u with management in the morning. I don't think the motto of 'well pick you up' was upheld in the spirit in which it was meant in my case. This branch's motto should be 'I'll pick you up but it annoys me'. read more

I rent cars all over the country several times each month. In this case I needed a car near the hotel I was staying at (Embassy Suites). They were nearby so I choose to rent at this strip mall location. Like every Enterprise location the staff is made up of young recent grads who are trying to break into a large corporation working from the bottom up which I truly admire. Where this location falls short (and many other Enterprise locations do as well) is cleaning of the cars before they are rented. It never fails, they take all of the fast food bags and cups out of the car, but they never clean the windows, center console or vacuum the carpets. I understand its tough to wear a suit and be expected to be a car valet, but some how someone needs to do a quality check of every car before its gets put back into service! Completely disappointed with this service so far. I have rented from them in the past, but today they are A HUGE joke! I needed someone to come get me at 8 am at the collision repair center, and they could not accommodate my hours, and couldn't pick me up until 10:30. I then get to said collision repair center only to find out that there is a guy from Enterprise there from same office I'm renting car from giving cars away and checking people in, so how is he not able to accommodate me? I was pissed, because while I looked for a "lyft" ride back home, it said all lyft drivers were busy. Then I had to have a parts guy drive me back home. I called into Enterprise to have them change my pick up location to my apartment and I had to repeat the spelling of my last name about 5 times, as well as my street address. I was so angry because I felt like a broken record. Why does one guy take all the info down, just to transfer you and you have to regurgitate it later? Enterprise..."we'll pick you up" on our schedule not yours, oh and we'll ask for your info about 5 times. Please, what a colossal waste of my time. So frustrated. read more
