Be sure to take your own video and photos of cars rented from here. During the walk around, I vocally noted some dings/scratches/etc. while the staff member had the iPad to note concerns on the e-contract. He commented that they don't bother writing down those kinds of items. When I returned the vehicle, however, I was charged with damage/repair for items seen as having been there. I had been taking a video of the car condition during the walk around but when the staff member said they won't even note the items on the contract, went more quickly. That was a lesson I learned the hard way. I attempted to send in my video to show the damage was there at the time I rented the vehicle, and that the staff were heard on the video saying they won't write the items down. While staff in the stores provided info on how to send it in my photos/video, there seems to be little connection between staff/store and the corporate indivdiuals on email who assess damages and are supposed to review the photos/videos customers provide. Staff was professional and courteous in person, but the low review is to provide a warning to not let that stop you from being diligent in creating your own documentation even when the staff say they won't be doing it on their side. read more

Be careful. I was charged for toll roads in a state I didn't even go through. Then when I submitted pictures showing me in South Carolina (not Illinois where the tolls were charged) they said that wasn't proof even though it had everything they wanted, date, a time stamp and a location. So now I get to pay someone else's toll fees. Thanks but never again. ***Update Reached out to customer service as requested. What a joke. The girl tried to tell me the tolls were not from Illinois and to reach out to the toll authority, which I already have. And submitted proof I was in another state at the time. It's hit or miss at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Your car will either be pretty darn new and nice or a year old with farted on seats and ash tray smelling interior with bald tires and misalignment wheels. It just depends on what you get. You can get a nice new pickup truck at some locations or a farted on Dodge Dart at another location. Prices aren't to bad I guess. Rental cars be expensive thought right? they be taxing to drive their hooptie. They're open on sundays but they won't pick you up. You have to call to find that out, and you have to be told by a live human, which took An Hour. So I had to reschedule my appointment, which I also didn't know from my conversation. What I did know is that they scheduled me for a pickup Monday. No. I called to ask for a pickup, and they told me someone was already on the way. I live within 20 minutes of the place so once 45 minutes had passed I was pretty sure they lied. I finally got a ride, after I checked the app and saw no information about my rental. Not only was my pickup not scheduled, but I no longer had a reservation. Just close Sundays to focus on cleaning and returns or maybe record a bit about how you don't pick up on weekends and put it on your information on the website? Like, for basics. The employees were very polite. I want to specify: this is something a manager should have thought of, if what they are paid related in any way to how much they do. I worked with Mishawaka originally and they were kind but then had an issue so worked with Ellie too get it worked out. She spoke to me twice and was very kind and was able to get me taken care of, I had a million questions and she was very kind. When I came in to get the car and switch I was helped by Mary to get things going. She was also very helpful. I had to follow up with Ellee again to get something worked out. She was very patient with me. (My car Insurance was projecting 5 weeks with my repairs so I needed a rental for a while.) When I had to come back in Mateo and Ryan were very helpful getting things squared away. Tameko was my last phone contact person and was very professional. I was charged a "drop fee" since the Enterprise agent misunderstood that I was going one-way to Chicago after I made it abundantly clear. They blamed me for this. I rented a Cadillac for a wedding that I was attending in Fort Wayne. When I got to the enterprise counter they told me that my choice was a Kia K5 or a camry. I may not be the most intelligent man on the planet but a Kia is not a Cadillac. Enterprise at the Fort Wayne Airport is a joke. Found out less than 24hrs from our scheduled pickup that they need a major credit card. Nothing in the email about it. No missed calls from them. No voice mails. I had to really search in the website to find this little detail out. Might be a good idea to let costumers know about these types of policies in a timely manner. I was in a car accident outside Fort Wayne and needed to rent a car to get back to OH. This office had the absolute worst service I have ever experienced with Enterprise. I had the rental for over two months and even though the car was covered by insurance the FW office kept calling me to come back to FW, 4 hours away btw, to redo paperwork. I suggested that I go to an enterprise office near me. The woman argued with me then hung up on me. Poor behavior... I have been a customer of the Lima branch for over a decade and the level of service is unbelievably inconsistent. Our company moved to Hertz but I continued to use Enterprise because most of the time it is easier. Saturday was the last time I will use them. I called to make an admittedly last minute reservation but was assured that they would drop the car where they always do and if there was any issue, they would call. No call so I drove 30 minutes to pick up the vehicle, which not surprisingly, was not delivered. There was no call to let me know if there was an issue. A follow-up call today made by me had this referenced as a misunderstanding and confusion on my call timeline. This is the final time I will overlook their lack of customer service. read more

I rented a car yesterday from the Lima road location. Got the car home and flat tire. Called the customer service line and was on hold for over 1HR. Finally got someone and they told me just take it in a exchange "No Problem" . Took it in the next day and they now tell me I have to pay over $200 for a new tire. I drove less then 12 Miles. This is the worst location enterprise has. Horrible customer service and the manger isn't understanding. I would not EVER use this location again. read more

THE WORST location to rent a car in Fort Wayne. Employees are not a help and basically are told to rip off people for their commission. I rented a car for 2 Months here. One month after another. After the first month's rate at ~$20 per day. They charged me $25 dollars per day the next month, telling me "we don't know how you got that rate". I have rented cars from Thirfty, Dollar and HERTZ on monthly basis. They have the courtesy of charging the same price as originally agreed but the WHITE chubby sales man upfront will charge you as high as possible to get his little commission. I had to order a rental car for a one day trip. Reserved a seven passenger vehicle at the Fort Wayne Airport. Arrived to pick it up and they wouldn't take a debit card. They explained that the other Enterprise locations do take debit cards. Went home and searched other Enterprise locations and found a vehicle at the Enterprise on Lima Road and received a confirmation number. The Lima Road location was closed during this time because it was late when I went to pick up the first vehicle. Lima Road tried to reach me to let me know that they didn't have a vehicle the next morning. I did not see that they tried to call me and showed up at the Lima Road location to pick up the vehicle. We were leaving for our day trip immediately following. The staff was very nice and called around to try to find a vehicle for me but to no avail. I don't understand why I would be given a confirmation number for a vehicle that didn't exist. Due to these circumstances one person in our party was unable to go with us on our day trip. If I hadn't received a confirmation number I would have searched further to find a vehicle. Unfortunately due to these circumstances it caused hard feelings within our group. I feel like this could have been avoided if I had been told online that there were no vehicles available for that date. read more

I rent all the time, unfortunately not just this location but all rental car agencies in Fort Wayne are not very efficient. I have always given myself an an extra hour on pick up for occasions like this one. Staff friendly just not very organized and too much chit chat going on behind the scenes. Our first and last rental w/ these clowns. 90 min wait for a ride. Long phone holds. 1st. car a relic wi44k miles, suspension & headlight issues. Drove to the airport, and swapped to an Elantra. Cost us an hour. The Elantra is mechanically sound, but smells of cigarettes and came with a dirty windshield and windows. Hertz kicks their butts. In fact the Tiguan we got from Dollar last week in Ft Wayne was flawless. Enterprise falls down on the simple stuff:. answering the phones, promptly providing the free pick up they go on and on and on about while yr on hold;. Most fundamentally, they fail at handing over properly working, clean cars cars that haven't been beaten nearly to death. A rep @enterprisecares sent me a DM on Twitter at 6 pm Saturday promising that a manager would email me. It's now Tuesday ....crickets. Fish rot from the head. The issue is less Enterprise's crappy Ft Wayne branch than it appears to be a culture of indifference when it comes to service from the top of Enterprise. read more

Overall decent experience. However, even when you make a reservation asking for a specific model (economy, compact, SUV, van, etc.) & call the morning of, they do not hold that vehicle for you - even though they say they will. So if you plan a trip expecting X type of vehicle and budget X amount of money for gas in said vehicle, good luck. I reserved an economy car and was placed in an SUV, hence using more gas than I had budgeted for (10 hour 1 way drive to D.C, through mountains) so it got a little costly. Also, the representative, although courteous, he asked if I was a believer (religious), I replied no, because I'm not. He proceeded to pray for me anyway. That was rather awkward to say the least. At the end of my trip and returning the vehicle, I mentioned that the driver side window had an issue. The return representative gave me a $30 credit for the inconvenience, so that was nice. Enterprise on Lima Road in Fort Wayne is the most convenient location for me, and they have always provided excellent customer service and a reliable vehicle. Thankfully, my insurance company has paid the bill, but the one time I needed to pay for three days of service the bill was very reasonable. enterprise saved our family vacation, we had a reservation at hertz months in advance, less then a few hours before our trip we found out they required a major credit card!!! we had credit/debit only. so we found out enterprise is the only one to accept our card and got a very nice van last min. not to mention we were originally told thru priceline hertz had the best price for rental and then hertz actually told us in person that enterprise would be way cheaper, which they were!!! my only complaint was the wait time for pick up or returns, took well over an hour to get the vehicle......but thank you enterprise for letting us have a wonderful trip!!! read more

Husband rents cars regularly from here on corporate card for work travel. Last two times, car has almost no gas in the tank. Since it is on his corporate card and it is a hassle to go back, he just fills it up. Last car he received had a crack in the windshield on the passenger side. He had to take it back as a cracked windshield does not seem safe. Then he had to get a ride from me to get out the airport location because they had no other car available. He is forced to use Enterprise for work, but I would not recommend them at all if you have options. read more

However, the people of our local Enterprise location on Lima Road are among the BEST, most helpful and courteous Customer Service Reps of of any I have encountered. Stephanie is a BRIGHT SHINING jewel in the crown of this PRICELESS location! Having the fuel service option led to a great savings - the price of gas at Enterprise was $1.65 a gallon, and I didn't have to fuel up before bringing the car back to Enterprise. read more
