Hilton has greatly improved this hotel (over its former owners) with *big* renovations. The staff was professional, pleasant, and polite. The decor is contemporary and basic, with no frills. Breakfast was not what I was expecting. Orange juice, bagels, yogurt, cold cereal (I think). Honestly, when I saw the breakfast provided, I checked out and left to buy a hot breakfast elsewhere. For the price of this hotel, a hot breakfast would be expected. That was a letdown and why I only gave this hotel 3 stars. Clean, and remodeled, but they missed the mark on the breakfast.
Also, before sleeping, I like being able to reach into the drawer next to the bed and read from the Gideon's Bibles I usually find in hotel rooms. No drawer, and no Bible in this hotel. That was a downer, also. Just know if you stay here, no Bibles to read, you will want to bring your own.
The bathroom was small but nice. Updated quartz marble vanity tops, and I loved the dispensers on the walls both in the shower and at the vanity just inside the door. Nice touches!
I didn't like the pillows at all. They should try to find some better pillows. Felt flat, with little head support. Not comfortable.
But, the bed was very good.
In summary, I felt this hotel was pricey, for what you get, and will look around for my next stay in Fort Wayne for a hotel with a hot breakfast. read more
