I made a reservation through Choice Hotels for this property for 2 nights. I knew I would be going, so I chose the cheaper option of non-refundable. However, after checking my stay details through Choice Hotels I saw a large notice at the top of the stay information showing that they are under construction and have been since October 2025. Therefore, this was a large renovation project. I have multiple disabilities that prohibit me from being around construction dust, wet paint, etc. that can cause medical issues to the point of hospitalization. Even though I usually stay at this hotel, I could not stay there this time due to the construction that was not clearly stated upon booking. I attempted to cancel through the hotel, but Riya at the front desk stated I have to go through Choice Hotels and she cannot cancel it. I called Choice Hotels who were very understanding of my situation. The information about the construction was difficult for them to even find, and they said they were going to message the hotel to let them know they need to update that information so it is more easily seen. (I doubt they will.) They stated that since it is a privately owned hotel they cannot cancel it without the hotel's permission, so they called the hotel on my behalf to try to help me out since they understood my medical situation that prevented me from keeping the reservation. The hotel still refused to cancel my stay. Choice Hotels stated I will have to contact the hotel directly and there is nothing more that they can do. I called the hotel again and spoke to Riya again who stated that I can call back at 4pm when the manager is there, but she cannot guarantee it will be canceled. She stated she would also be there at 4pm. I called at 4:05pm and a different front desk staff member answered. Riya was no longer there. I asked to speak to the manager and lady asked me why. I told her I was speaking with Riya before about canceling my reservation due to medical issues with the construction. She said the manager is not in and she would call back in 30 min. After 40 min I called back and spoke to her again and asked to speak to the manager. She said they cannot cancel the reservation. I explained again why I am wanting to cancel and she said I cannot. She attempted to talk over me multiple times, but I would not allow her to. Finally, she gave the phone to the "manager". I asked for his name and he said it so fast I could not understand it. I asked him if he could spell it and he yelled at me "What do you want?!" However, I already looked into who owned the hotel and had him on speaker so my husband could hear the conversation. My husband told me the "manager's" name and turns out, he is actually the owner, Chirag Patel. He was very abrupt with the way he spoke to me and didn't even let me speak much. He said I have to call Choice Hotels. I told them they already tried and that I was told by them to call the hotel. He said he will not cancel the room over and over until I tried to explain my situation to him again and again. He didn't want to hear me speak, so at that time he said "your room is canceled" and hung up. This hotel is run by people (who appear to be all family members) that don't speak English well and are hard to understand. They don't care about any extenuating circumstances that may impact your stay. They don't provide critical details about major construction happening at their hotel on any booking website. I will never stay there again! Very rude, very unprofessional, and I had to call multiple times each time just to get someone from the front desk to answer. Unacceptable! read more

This place is filthy, construction all over, the TV wouldn't work, sink was clogged which made brushing teeth challenging, slippery and orange bacteria covered shower tiles... just not what I am ever hoping for in a hotel. Do NOT stay here. The owner is shady, and cheap. A strange man opened my hotel room door. I screamed. I ran to front desk and he claimed the system did it in error. I came in from a long day of business and my room was dirty and bed inmade. I found leftover food in my fridge. when I opened it! Apparently from a previous person. Behind the nightstand was filth . We stayed here two nights. The bathtub and bathroom had ants. I can deal with a few but there were QUITE a few climbing in the tub and around the sink. It was supposedly their last available room so we went and bought ant spray because we were tired and didn't want to go find another hotel. We went down for breakfast but had to wait literally 15 minutes for them to refill the gravy for biscuits and gravy. Had to wait for them to refill the milk for cereal also. The computer wasn't working to do any business and the ice machine wasn't working either. This is supposed to be a reputable hotel. I was very disappointed. I honestly cannot imagine having a worse possible experience at a hotel. This hotel is an absolute nightmare and I cannot discourage others from staying there enough. My son and I arrived at Comfort Inn + Suites North Ft. Wayne at 11:40pm on 9/16/22 and were given two keys to our rooms in what we were told was a sold out hotel. Luckily, we had booked our stay over a month ago--right?. However, we entered our rooms to find them occupied by other guests! We went to the front desk, and the clerk Nate Lesser had just started his shift; he had no idea what was happening. He called the Assistant Manager, Amanda, who talked to him for quite some time. We were given 2 other room keys for rooms that were near our original, already-occupied, rooms. The rooms were completely vandalized, the doors would not open, and the door jams were destroyed (see pictures). Back we went to the front desk we went; the desk clerk tried and could not open either door himself. The next sequence of events occurred over the next hour: -The desk clerk called the assistant manager back; she told him to call the 4 other hotels that they work with so Comfort Inn could be billed the difference in room prices directly. There were absolutely no available rooms at these 4 hotels -A room was found at Holiday Inn Express North Ft. Wayne at twice the price. Holiday Inn would not bill Comfort Inn directly. I am told that I need to pay double myself. At this point, I am over 4 hours from home, in an unfamiliar town, with nowhere to sleep, being told I need to pay an exorbitant amount of money for a place to sleep for the night! -I told the assistant manager that this was completely unacceptable. Since Comfort Inn was willing to pay the difference to remedy their mistake when contacting their partnering hotels, they should cover this one as well (whether that was using petty cash, coming in to write a check out to the hotel, or using cash from the drawer). The assistant manager said that her boss would not allow that; I suggested that she then call her boss -The desk clerk hands me a piece of paper with the following written on it (Robbie-(260) 241-6714) and asked me to call. -I summarized the above situation that had occurred over the last hour and a half to Robbie over the phone, and was immediately threatened, and told that he was going to call the police on me for telling his clerk to steal money for me. To paint an accurate picture, I am a senior citizen, in an unfamiliar town well-after midnight, over 4 hours away from home--and now I was being threatened! -I repeated multiple times that I did not say anything of the sort to the clerk, but suggested various alternate ways of fixing their mistake to the assistant manager over the phone. -Robbie was completely irate and kept threatening me with police involvement. At this point, I told him to go ahead and call the police and the newspaper also, and he can explain that he is threatening a senior for listing solutions to their colossal mistake. -I handed the phone back to the desk clerk. He himself told Robbie that I did not ask him to steal money for me. Robbie said he would call around to find a room for the price I paid over a month ago, which was now half the going rate with a soccer tournament in town. -10 minutes later, the call is disconnected -I called Robbie back 3 times. He refused to answer -I waited an additional 5 minutes for a possible call back from Robbie, but he did not call back. At this point, I told the desk clerk to please refund my money, went to Holiday Inn Express, and paid twice the price for a room there. The next morning, I checked my bank account to find that they charged me again for the two rooms instead of refunding them!! I then had to call my bank to file fraudulent charges against Comfort Inn + Suites North Ft. Wayne. This was--by far--the worst experience that I have ever had at a hotel, and I'm sure the not-so-happy folks that experienced us barging into their room after midnight would agree. Very nice and spacious room. Clean and looks to be recently updated with on trend decor and bedding. Very good location off the right off I69. Close to a few restaurants and shopping also. Staff is pleasant and accommodating. Nice indoor pool and workout area. This is a nice hotel conveniently located just off 69 in northern ft Wayne. It was clean and the staff friendly. My main reason for 3 stars is that while carpeting and furnishings appear to be updated the shower hardware, sinks, doors, etc have seen better days. Getting pretty run down. It was also odd to me that there weren't toilet seat covers. Pool also needs some improvement- water was very cloudy and flooring around the pool chipped and worn. I would still recommend this place and stay here again, it just needs some additional upgrading. It was a deal for $75! read more

Rooms seemed to have recent updates within the past year. Standard size. Mostly clean. Friendly staff who made visible efforts to tend to guest needs. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was adequate (waffles, cereal, muffins, yogurt, fruits, one hot meat option, one hot egg option). $124/night. Satisfied overall with our stay and would stay again. Maintenance was attentive to slow shower drain and jammed sofa sleeper. Concerns I noted: The mattress in the pull out sofa was destroyed (sides ripped, springs poking out, stained). Unruly kids in the pool and fitness room. Pool was cold, worn down, and I'm not a fan of the salt water filtration. No hot tub. There was a broken handrail in the elevator. Spider bite on the first nigh(Monday night). Couldnt prove it until today, I cane to lay down for a quick nap, I wake up and there's a spider on the pillow next to me almost on my face. Also got 3 other bad mosquito bites. The spider bite progressively grew worse as the week went(Thursday night). Had to go to a clinic so they can give me something because over-the-counter wasn't cutting it. 2 injections on my buttocks, pills and anti-itch cream(more). One of the worst stays I've ever had. Major inconvenience. I travel for work so I've been to plenty of hotels all over the US. It's odd to me that they don't do daily clean-up for the time of your stay, they say its for Covid-prevention purposes. 30 mins north, same hotel(ran differently obviously) extremely clean and daily cleaning. Chose this hotel because I thought it'd be more convenient as far as the area and the things around but nope. Completely wrong. Not coming here anymore. We have been here during Christmas time for the last 4 years. The hotel has just really gone down over years. Breakfast wasn't hot, microwave in dining didn't work. Food areas not very clean. Room was clean, but getting old and just looks "used". Management needs to do some upgrading before we'll return. And the pool water was not clear. This hotel is located as soon as you get off the interstate. The front staff/ pretty much all the staff were super friendly and courteous. The room was clean and a nice size with a partial partition and sofa and coffee table. The tv selection was sub par I don't know if it was a issue going on but half my channels had no signal. I stayed on the second floor and the noise level was horrible. The walls are paper thin and the elephant above me wouldn't stop running and stomping their feet, that was horrible. This hotels is right by a hospital so at night the ambulance sirens were very loud and clear. Breakfast was good they had a good selection and bacon!! They had lemonade and water by the door in the evenings. The hotel is next to a couple resteraunts so it was good I was able to walk to the different locations. Would stay again. read more

Very clean hotel in Fort Wayne the service staff is very inviting and will help if ask for any extra amenities. The pool is indoors which was good for varying Weather. WiFi code is comfort. The soaps and shampoos are a basic no-name brand would be better if they were Neutrogena or more of a brand name amenity. read more

I had no idea how nice this chain was! It smelled wonderful when I walked in, the front desk rep gave me wonderful customer service, and my room was DA BOMB! (I may be biased because it had a hot tub in it) But the location, ambiance and breakfast buffet was incredible. For a moderate budget hotel, this is an excellent choice. Genuinely friendly staff; clean, updated, and comfortable rooms and common areas. Bed comfort was one of the best I've experienced (i have a bad back and I got up pain-free!). Bathroom was spotless and full of fresh fluffy towels. No weird hotel smells, large screen tv, and rooms set up to accommodate both the business and leisure traveler equally. Fast and strong wifi connection. While breakfast was normal free fare, the area was clean and well-stocked. Coffee was excellent! While we did not utilize the workout area or pool, both looked clean, inviting and well-maintained. Parking lot was clean, well-lit. Overall a very good choice when passing through Ft. Wayne! read more

Fair priced hotel & clean. Stayed with my family on couple of occasion for sports functions. Booking was easy, front desk staff was clean and generally professional. Beds were comfortable and room was large enough for even a family to sleep and decently quiet. The WiFi was pretty slow to almost non-functional (we tried on 3 or 4 different devices). I know this location is going into renovations or may have started recently after being purchased by the hotel adjacent to them. Pool area is small but great to get some energy and exercise for the kids. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because on each occasion we stayed, the breakfast staff was way behind and couldn't keep up with the food demand. When trying to approach them they were passive about getting what you needed. Other then that I would recommend anyone staying here! read more
