Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a great complimentary breakfast! My husband booked me a room here when I decided to stop halfway through my drive to Detroit. He was a little worried since he didn't know the area. I can now assure anyone that the area is nice and this is a great place to stop. It's right off the highway and there are plenty of places to go grab a bite withing a few miles. Not to mention, it's right across the road from a hospital. When I did my check in the girl at the front desk was really nice and engaged in small talk as she finished things on her end. Walking into my room I immediately saw that the TV remote was set out in a clear plastic slip as if to show it had been wiped down since the previous customer. Then at breakfast I was shocked to see the spread. It's been almost 3 years since I have seen a complete continental breakfast. When I travel I like to start my day off right. I get travel tummy. So I need my morning tea. It's not every day that a hotel will provide honey at their coffee and tea station. But this one did! As I made my way over to the carb corner I noticed a carton of oatmilk besides the individual cartons of cow's milk. Bravo for that one too. I don't do well over caring in the morning. I prefer some straigh protein if I can get it. The only thing they had for me in that department was the boiled eggs. I'm not really a fan. So I went with one of their prepackaged breakfast sandwiches. Not exactly my favorite, but you can't please everyone. At least I got some meat. Overall, I'd definitely stop here again. It seems like they have a great team. In fact, there are women out in the hall right now with their cleaning carts setting up for today's travelers. Everyone who works here seems to be on their A game and that's huge these days. Edit to add- I forgot to mention that the pullout bed's pieces were folded and stacked super nice in their plastic bedding bag.

Well managed. Super great staff. That's an important reason we stay only at Hilton. Yes, it's an older building. It's Fort Wayne, Indiana, folks. There are no new buildings. This is clearly the best hotel if you're staying in town. That said, it is true, I expect Hilton to invest in this property to maintain brand standard. There is no better alternative nearby, but hurry up and step it up. The building is old and musty, and Hilton knows it. We stayed in the 1 bed-1bath King Suite and it's a lovely layout. Great furniture. Very clean. Once in the room, it's a Hilton Hampton Inn. Until in the room, it's Fort Wayne. The staff accommodated my family's every need. The lobby is lovely for late night work while the family sleeps and the pool is super kid friendly. Plus, nice breakfast area. I do think Hilton knows it's time to invest in the infrastructure updates. Until then, give the staff a raise. Big time. Management, front desk, and maids. Your people are making Hilton look good in an old facility. It speaks volumes for Hilton's quality of management, Conrad Hilton would be pissed about the corporate's inattention to the need for an update. Conrad would also give each of these staff members a free vacation for making him look good. I expect Hilton to act accordingly. Veritas! Harvard '24. Thanks from the family.

As others have mentioned, parking isn't that close, and there's a walkway between the parking garage and the hotel. Also, this Hampton Inn is right next to a Courtyard by Marriott. The staff was helpful, especially regarding our 10 pm, 12 am, and 2 am irritation from someone in the fitness center dropping the ball weights. This went on for two nights. Nothing but repeated loud thuds. Come to find out it was a bunch of kids; at that who's bright idea was to put a fitness center on thr top floor? It's a nice hotel with some minor issues. Id likely stay again, but perhaps 2-4 floors.

Other instances when I picked up my car or returned, valet never opened my door...didn't even try. The construction created issues with self parking, so it would have been nice if there was some consideration with the daily cost of valet. I forgot a brush and inquired at the front desk on the availability of any basic items to guests. I was directed to the convenience cabinet and told the black comb would be charged to my room. It came with a toothbrush and tooth paste that I did not need. My room was right next to the housekeeping closet. The slamming of that door over and over all morning, might want to be of consideration for future guests. A more quietly closing door would for sure have helped with the constant noise. My bed and bedding were very nice and comfortable. The bathroom floors were sticky from cleaner. The food at both The Arbor & Birdie's was exceptional. Jackie at The Arbor was great and made helpful recommendations evening of 10/15/26. The tomato soup was delicious and crispy Brussel sprouts were the best I'd ever had. There was a rehearsal dinner at Birdie's the evening of 10/16. It was very awkward to us and others at the bar, especially when guests were making toasts. Might want to rethink that set-up. The bar staff did a great job helping to ease the awkwardness, but there was only so much they could do.

Glad I did. We stayed 2 nights. I had my friend and her son and my kid on the reservation but they just ate breakfast and stayed at her house so the kids could play. The breakfast was amazing!! Definitely upgrade to include breakfast. So worth it!!! When I first checked in, Ashley was at the desk and she was so nice and helpful. She explained the water situation, which didn't really end up effecting my stay but one time... but they are remodeling the floors and have to shut it off at set times during the day to remodel the bathrooms. My room was already remodeled and it looked amazing. The hotel is clean and attractive, and I didn't hear any neighbors. The beds were comfy and yes, my back thanked me for it. The shower was hot and spacious. I didn't use housekeeping because I had my pup with me and I didn't want her to bark if they came in. But they were friendly when I passed in the hall. So this place was 5 stars in my book, and everything was great. Food 5/5, room 5/5, service 5/5, Ashley 5/5... thank you for a great stay!

The check-in counter is located across from the restaurant and next to the lounge area. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The interior is quite spacious, with ample seating. This location was convenient for a few hours. The price was reasonable with $15 charge for self-parking. The elevator was clean until you walked out onto the floor, which had a weird smell. The room was decent, but the bed and pillow quality were subpar. The room was very dusty, including the counter, bedside table, and lamp. But it was a quick turnaround for me. The bathroom was clean, with only the bare essentials, and the closet had ample space. And the refrigerator in the room wasn't cold or cool but it was clean

But the room was huge, equipped with a nice kitchenette. Lots in the surrounding, drivable area to order UberEats from. Weirdly, of my whole party, nobody had handsoap equipped in their bathroom. The door keys were finicky and my digital key did not work once. Parking up front was waaaay too crowded. Parking in back is great except you need key to get in so I had to walk around the building to get a key before I could get my luggage. The breakfast bar was weird. A taco bar was advertised...and it was not there. No milk for cereals and the eggs had brown chunks in them. The waffle was good but be prepared to wait in line to make it. It had a beautiful oatmeal bar. The Bad: I had a king and slept on one side. I pulled my sheets down in the morning to find Chip crumbs. Given I didn't eat once in my room, I found that disturbing and disgusting. So unless you are meeting up with a big group and need a larger space, I think I'd look elsewhere.

The woman working the front desk, Letra (spelling?) was absolutely amazing. She was always smiling, greeted us by name whenever we walked through the lobby and was just a ray of sunshine. Employees like her really do make a business. The location was great for us because we were at a convention and the convention center was right across the street. We were able to drive a short distance to go to dinner and a movie one night. The bed was very clean which I so much appreciated. I'm very very particular about things being clean. There were employees mopping and cleaning common areas throughout our stay. The shower and sink area were also clean. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that there were handprints on the walls in the hall, dust on the baseboards in the room and a big chair in the room that was made of material that would need to be cleaned instead of wiped off so for me, it was just a waste of space. If I can't clean something with my Lysol wipes, I prefer not to have it in my hotel room. I just avoided sitting there. I would recommend the hotel and if you stay and have a chance to meet Letra, you're fortunate.
