Loved the service, the car, not so much. Didn't realize there was no liner in the trunk until I opened it.

Hoo boy. Seldom do I really get steamed about poor service, but buckle your seatbelt…read more We'd made a reservation online ahead of time to pick up a compact car at 12pm. We'd chosen Budget because it was marginally less expensive than its competitors. Some kind friends agreed to drive us out to North Hampton (which was quite far from where we were staying), but it was most convenient for them to take us earlier, around 9:30 AM. We tried calling to alert the Budget office, but here's where it got weird. Every time we called, we'd either get disconnected or forwarded to what sounded like someone's personal (and unintelligible) cell phone voicemail. We even tried calling the Budget 800 number, which gave us another (wrong) number to try. After leaving several messages, we figured we'd drive over -- usually it's not a big deal to pick up a car early. When we got there, it was a tiny office on the side of a busy road, with temporary-looking Budget banners. The solitary employee took his sweet time washing off a car before entering the office, where he kept us waiting for almost 15 minutes. He had a strong accent and was difficult to understand. We told him about the difficulty we'd had in phoning, but he seemed totally unconcerned. At first he said he had no compacts, and that we could rent a full-size car, and started filling out the paperwork. But then he called his supervisor, and informed us (after 15 minutes!) that we'd have to come back three hours later to get the car we'd reserved, even though there were others there at the lot. So we had to ask our kind friends to bring us back later. Very frustrating! When we came back, it was another time-consuming rental process, involving lots of phone calls made by him. When I asked for a map of the area, he had nothing except a tourist cartoon map of two towns that were 20 minutes away. As we drove the car, we noticed an exhaust odor, and my husband and I both experienced upset stomachs and headaches. Concerned about possible carbon monoxide, we drove the rest of the time with the windows down. So, let's review: service = lousy, car = lousy, price= not too good, location = also lousy. It will be a LONG time before I rent from Budget again, and I don't have a good feeling about the long-term survival of the North Hampton, NH branch.

That kind of integrity is why we've stayed loyal for many years. However, there has been a lingering problem that keeps giving me pause, and it has nothing to do with the work that is performed by Tim and his mechanics. It's the woman, who shall remain nameless, who answers the phone that keeps tripping up what should be a smooth, well-oiled experience like it was years ago. Ultimately, getting a direct, straightforward answer from her has proven harder than getting my kids to do their chores, and the tone is about the same, too. There's this steady drip of condescension, as if every question is a personal affront to her. And there are the sighs, the putting on hold, more sighs, and then there is the "Take it or leave it" edict. More than once, I've called needing work done, found myself hanging up mid-conversation, and immediately dialed another shop. In fact, the last couple of times I've called, I didn't even wait for the frustration to build; the moment her voice hit the line, I simply hung up and spared myself the aggravation. There have been times I've asked for clarification or if there was any other availability after she's issued her verdict; it felt like I was stepping out of line and challenging her authority. Which is a strange experience when all I'm trying to do is support a local business and throw money their way. I mean, I get it - it's a busy shop, lots of moving parts...That is not an excuse to be void of a little appreciation, or even a modicum of basic courtesy, which shouldn't be too much to hope for. Tim, I hate that this reflects on your business at all, because you've always been, and I'm sure still are a solid, trustworthy place. Judging by how full your lot is, it's clear you're still a local favorite. All I'm asking is this: please send a little of your empathy and human skills her way. I'm sure she's a perfectly nice woman when she isn't answering the phones, but something changes the moment that line rings, and it's impacting the experience, at least in my opinion, in a way that doesn't match the quality of your work. Thank you for all you do for this community.

Just like the faulty blower in the 2015 Volvo which is a known issue that Volvo will also not stand behind by the way. The vehicle has been garaged ever since day one when it was purchased a brand new. I realize it's 11 years old, but it doesn't go anywhere. There's no commuting miles on this as I work out of my house. Volvo vehicles have become overpriced junk sadly. No one bothered getting back to me. I've called twice. Finally someone said "Oh sorry we meant to call you, but we forgot" and No, Volvo will still not cover it right now. Well at least I know. There isn't a big enough hole apparently. I was going to buy a new Volvo SUV 90, this spring so I did want to follow through and get the rust issue fixed so I didn't have to trade it in this way, but not anymore. They lost my business and by the sounds of it I'm sure they don't care.

I called Cody and he did not answer then I called the dispatch and they said they would have him call me back. When the call came about 10 minutes later, he told me since he thought I was arriving from an international flight he would factor in an extra hour to my scheduled pick-up! First of all the reservation clearly showed a domestic flight arrival and second it is pretty egregious to arbitrarily add an hour to the reservation pick-up time. I was livid that he was home in New Hampshire while I was waiting at the airport. Of the 3 times I used this company they were late twice, the most recent was outrageous. I am sad to say I will not use them again. After 10 months I just received an email from google with this: Response from the owner 3 hours ago Dear Elaine, Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we apologize for the experience you had. It seems there was a misunderstanding regarding your flight, and we'd like to clarify what happened. When we initially processed your booking, there was confusion around your flight status, as the system indicated it might be an international arrival. Typically, with international flights, passengers need extra time to clear customs, which often leads to longer waits, so we factored in an additional hour to account for this. However, we now understand that your flight was indeed a domestic one, and we deeply regret the inconvenience this caused you. To remedy the situation as quickly as possible, we immediately explored multiple options to get you home sooner. This included personally looking for alternate modes of transportation out of pocket. Though you refused them all. Insisting on waiting for us. Despite the mix-up, we did not charge as a gesture of goodwill and to compensate for the wait. While we know this doesn't change your experience, we wanted to assure you that we take situations like this very seriously, and appreciate your feedback, which helps us improve. We are truly sorry for the frustration and the impact it had on your travels. Sincerely, Sky Coach & Limousine Well Cody let me say this about that. Regardless of you alleged mishap with your booking tool, I hired a Limousine Service not a travel planner. Regardless of the fight path you should have arrived on time. Your exploring of other options was to tell me to take an Uber from the airport to New Hampshire! Need I tell you what you should take.
