Made a reservation through Alamo/Enterprise for a Midsize AWD SUV. They gave me a Jeep Compass, which Edmunds classsifies as an X-Small SUV and other sources classify as a Compact SUV. With our luggage, our family of 4 had a cramped ride through the mountains. Be aware that what Enterprise calls Midsize may be what most people consider Compact. read more

Stood in line watching customers get double charged and get disappointing news that there reservation was given away. Felt bad for the employees. I got what ever they would give me. made it a half mile down the road and we got a flat tire with my wife and daughter in a bad area. Would have put the spare on but they did not put a jack in. Waited 3 hours for roadside. The store closed for the night. and roadside couldn't be less help. They told me we could uber eventually but not to leave the car which is crazy. There is no uber up there. I got the tire plugged and got it back on the road after realizing roadside is useless. next morning asked if we could get a car jack before driving home 6 hours away . Not only did they say no they wouldn't let us swap the car. I got the car home luckily gave it back to enterprise and I won't deal with them again. It's just a nother disconnected monster company that doesn't have hardly any regulation. read more

I rented with Enterprise last week while visiting my daughter at Ft Lewis. I checked in to receive my vehicle just after landing att 12:15 am. I was given a large truck when I had requested a small car. I was not happy as the truck was huge and a gas guzzler, and had low tire pressure, however they were out of cars. I got a personal phone call from the manager making my situation right by comping one day to make up for the inconvenience of having to get tires checked next day and maneuver a massive dodge truck. She was very sweet and I will definitely rent from them again! read more

Easily the worst Enterprise experience I've ever had. Their ads say call us we'll pick you up. Right. Savanah at the closer Durango office got offended when I expressed amazement that there was no communication or transportation pursuant to their adds and experience in other parts of the country. Last Friday my Earthwatch Expedition finished up when our Team was dropped off at the Durango Airport at around 10 AM. As my flight to Portland (through Phoenix) didn't leave until after 6 PM, heading into town seemed like a good option. However, the Airport is many miles out of town and it turned out to cheaper to just rent a car for a day rather than pay cab fare. And when you consider the Airport's 1 gift shop and small coffee shop against the really cool and pretty downtown Durango, there was really no choice anyway. Knock on wood, I've always had a good car rental experience from Enterprise, and this transaction was no exception. The front and back end walk arounds were pleasant, and the expected insurance sales pitch was uneventful. Plus the guy at the counter was kind enough to store some of our bags while we were gone. Including return gasoline, I paid $35 for the economy rental through Enterprise. And after collecting about $25 from my 4 Team members (who had the same idea), my trip to Durango turned out to be a pretty good deal. read more

Horrible experience at Enterprise. We bought their insurance and our driver's door was backed into and we were unable to fully close the door. We called Enterprise to set up an exchange for a new car and they said we had to wait 2 days. We called later to confirm that they had a car and after making the long drive there they told us they had no cars available and we just had to either wait around for 4-5 hours or to just continue to drive a car with a broken door. The worst experience of my life!! I reserved a rental in advance. during my flight they called to let me know they don't have any cars. why are there available cars online and why was I able to reserve one?????? i had an hour drive to my destination and no car, can't Uber or taxi that far..***not to mention my plane landed at 11:30pm*** I callEd National and talked to a person to make sure they had a car, she assured me they did. when I got to Durango m, none of the companies had any vehicle. If they cared about their customers they would update their online system and wouldn't take reservation. The point of a reservation is that the car should be held for you. I know they were renting cars to people earlier that day because I heard of a man standing in line with his paid confirmation when they told the person if front of him he got the last one. If it's a first come first serve kinda situation it should be stated on the website and don't have the options of reservations. Enterprise, National and Alamo left at least 3 people stranded in the middle of the night and the locals all said they weren't surprised things like that happen all the time . they did absolutely nothing to try to help any of us out either and it was 100% their fault I was stranded in the middle of the night. read more

Since Pagosa Springs Enterprise is not open on weekends, we rented our vehicle from Enterprise Durango Airport. The employees at both locations are always very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our ride in our rented Chevy Suburban. I let Enterprise know that the cruise control worked well on level areas, but going downhill it gained up to 10 miles per hour. The only reason I put 4 stars is because I signed up for the pre-paid fuel. I was not informed that I would have to pay for a full tank when I returned the vehicle with 5/8 full tank. Brady in Pagosa took care of the problem and I paid only for the balance. In the future I will not sign up for pre-paid fuel. Otherwise, all was well. read more

This review is actually for the Enterprise location on Hwy 160 near Farmington Hill. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE! I rented a vehicle from them and documented damage to the vehicle on the form, but when I turned it in their manager decided the scratch noted was actually more than a scratch to him so must not be the one I reported as the gal that filled out the form had checked NO DAMAGE and I had initialed it, when the comments section clearly states there was a scratch on the passenger side door. Manager then charged my credit card for the rental even though my insurance company was paying for it, as declared he would be filing a claim with my insurance company for the damage. He refused to call the agent that had documented the damage, refused to give me his supervisor's number, and refused to let me back in his office. read more

Most of my experiences with Enterprise have been good in the past years. That is not the case with the Pagosa/Durango office. I arranged a rental in mid June 2016. When I presented my American Express awards at the time of rental as instructed to do so by both Amex and Enterprise they were initially accepted. When my charge statement arrived they were not credited. I received no help from Susan in Pagosa who told me after the fact they were refused. She failed to call me back with a follow up. I tried to contact the branch manager, Patrick at Durango to discuss the matter , however he failed to return my two calls. Subsequently, I called back to talk to the District Manager and days later have not received a response. My issue is no longer with the crediting of the certificates but rather with terrible customer service. read more
