Rented a large SUV at the end of July. I confirmed our reservation a day or two prior to pickup and they confirmed we were good to go. Pickup was a breeze but there was an issue with the car we discovered after driving it a few minutes, so we went back to the rental counter. They didn't have another large SUV available until a few hours later and we didn't want to delay our road trip, so we went ahead with the original car and the attendant offered to take care of us upon return. During our trip we discovered another issue with the car which we explained to the rep Garrett upon drop off, and he took very good care of us as promised! We appreciated it so much. I go and try and make a reservation for a van at this location 2 weeks ago and they have no vans no indication of that online someone calls the next day, then I try and make a reservation at another enterprise and they tell me the day of if they have a van. WORST CAR DEALERSHIP. Would RATE 0 if it was an option!!!! I had a horrible experience trying to rent a car. My insurance is supposed to cover everything for my rental. They said they are on a shortage of cars. That being said, both Art (manager) and Endia said they had a car ready for me to pick up when I called at 1115am today (Bc yesterday I went by and they were out). I drove out there right away. At 12, when I arrived they said they gave the car away Bc that person had a corporate account and priority over me. Fine if that's policy, but they should tell me to turn around rather than inconvenience me and go all the way there for no reason for me to drive back and forth and waste my time. We have used this location twice while my car was being repaired. They are quick to assist and we have been in and out in less than 10 minutes. If you are using First Choice Collision off of Telge, you can leave the car there once your car is ready. That was extremely helpful and saved me from having to find someone to help out. They are located in the HEB parking lot so it gets pretty busy and this location has run out of vehicles before. No complaints though, great customer service. read more

When I got there then they didn't have a car reserved for me had to put me in a huge suv then over charged me. The manger Hannah refuse to answer the phone they refuse to refund my deposit. But despite being irritated, I told the kind gentleman Cedric that I know it wasn't his fault. Enterprise Rent-A-Car has this AWFUL annoying reservation practice to where even though you make an online reservation - with your credit card AND receive a confirmation code - if you don't get there within a certain time frame, they can give away your vehicle. Which they did. To make matters worse, the assistant manager named Bryce was impolite. "Well, ma'am, you should have gotten here at noon." So here's where they could have fixed the situation: -Given me whatever vehicle they had on site, even though if it meant a complimentary upgrade. -Manager hold back on the 'tude. But no ... instead they drove me 15 minutes out of the way to their other location along 1960 (a total cluster F) to get another car. I was already running late on my trip to Austin for work, so that pissed me off even more. Again, Cedric was cool. He said if his manager wasn't there, he would have had no problem upgrading me. (And don't worry. I'm not snitching on the fella. He's now at military boot camp. Hey, we had a good convo on the way to get my car.) I have to say, I now HATE renting cars from Enterprise out in the burbs (I've rented from the one off 529 and another off Hwy 6 and Clay). They all suck. I see there are numerous reviews here and also other review sites that complain about Mackenzie being rude and unprofessional. I made a reservation a week in advance and vehicle was not physically at the location when I arrived. Multiple customers ahead of me waiting for their vehicles as well. I should not have to wait over 2 hours for my vehicle to arrive from another location when I have a scheduled appointment and reservation pre arranged. I would like to file a formal complaint on an employee at the 24224 US 290 Frontage Rd Unit J Cypress, TX 77429, location who claimed to be the manager named Authro. I rented a vehicle from this location for a family vacation to Florida. The vehicle was "inspected" by an employee. I also inspected the vehicle and observed a bullet hole located on the hatchback. I made sure the employee was made aware of the damage. We spoke about it and the employee at the time advised he was aware. I also spoke with a second employee who cleaned the vehicle and she was made aware of the damage. While returning home from our vacation, the vehicle began to experience minor issues. (Battery was dead) I did not want to risk driving home with minor issues with my family, therefore, I contacted customer service at the Houston location (above address) to see if we could swap out this vehicle for a more reliable vehicle. An employee at the Florida location inspected the vehicle and advised the bullet hole was NOT notated on the rental documentation. I contacted the Houston location and spoke with an employee named Arthro. He failed to provide customer service, was not helpful, and did not provide another outlet. He also refused to hear my complaint and would speak over me. I recorded the exchange of conversation. I would like to file a complaint on this employee along with the location for failing to make proper documentation on the vehicle's damage. read more

Do not rent from this location. The Branch Manger is argumentative and rude and she lacks profession. I was told they had a car at this location, I wanted to check the price to get an idea of what I had to pay and once I mentioned that my insurance company made the reservation, the tone changed and was told I would get a call back in a hour. 2 hours later, no call. So I decided to call back. I was on hold for almost a hour (56 minutes to be exact) with 4 staff members in the office working. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told she just walked our so I mentioned that I'm outside in the parking lot and I didn't see anyone leave. The staff then asked if I was in the parking lot, why won't I come in, I said I don't want to come in right now and said I wanted to rent a car. So then apparently the manager must have noticed who I was from the parking lot and she walked up to ME at My CAR, arguing with me!!!!! How will it ever be ok for any employee to walk up to a customer to argue. She then kept asking me why I didn't come into the office and I said I don't have to come in and what would be the point if no cars are available. I then told her I was on hold for almost an hour, and the manger snaps and says they were busy. Wow!!! So then she tried to tell me that I called the reservation line and I told her that I know how to make a call and that I called the number and pressed option 4 to talk to some one at the location and I was told they had a car available. I told her I don't believe them and that everything changed once they know I was getting a full size At discount. She then told me she's putting me on the DNR and walked away. So she comes up to me and my car in my personal space to argue and then threaten me with a DNR cause I chose to not believe her story. My insurance company got us a rental at Hertz! Hertz was amazing!!!!! They too have a shortage of cars yet went above and beyond to find us a car! Insurance discount was no issue and they gave us a upgrade!!!! AMAZING! I definitely let my insurance company know and I'm going to request to speak to the highest person I can at my Insurance Company to let them know about Enterprise and to encourage them to prioritize Hertz to their customers over Enterprise. We had to travel on a spare tire for 5 hours. Then they said we had to switch cars at an airport in Colorado Springs instead of just fixing our tire. They have hopeless and horrible customer service. The vehicle I got initially smelled cleaned; however, over the course of 4 hours that smell disappeared and a strong urine odor appeared. It was too late to return the car, and due to my schedule, I was unable to swap the vehicle out. My clothes smelled like someone else's urine after a 4.5 hour drive one way. I have never been so disappointed in an establishment in my life . I've recently been in a bad car accident that has already traumatized not only myself but my family as well . I typically have great experiences with enterprise but it seems as if this particular location has an issue with insurance claims . When I spoke on the phone with MACKENZIE at this location she was perfectly fine , very nice and eager to help . When I arrived at the location there were numerous employees ready to help and an African American male individual came up to help . He tried asking us certain questions but MACKENZIE Insisted on interrupting everything we were saying as well as the employee while she was already dealing with another customer . It was very rude but we started to understand that she was the manager and wanted to take over . In person MACKENZIE was very rude and obnoxious from the start . When we would ask a question she would immediately interrupt and answer the question to shoot us down on if we would we be able to rent. Unfortunately the person on the reservation only had a identification card and not a drivers license, we said OK that's perfectly fine can we change the person on the reservation to pick up to my spouse Who is on the insurance because she has a drivers license. She explained " NOPE " immediately and didn't really give a explanation just said that it was enterprises policy and she wasn't going to give us a vehicle. Also whenever we spoke about payments she looked at us with a dumbfounded look and said well you need a credit card to move forward anyway, as if we would not have a credit card, and then she also said $50 would need to be on the credit card, as if we wouldn't have $50 on a card. It is very embarrassing #1 for her to yell out in front of everyone I know you have a identification card we're not giving you a vehicle and you need to have a credit card as if me being a African-American I don't have a credit card or enough money in my account in order to move forward with a large vehicle through enterprise . We have already been through enough getting in a traumatizing accident with back pains neck pains etc . I definitely understand the policy as far as having a drivers license, that is no issue the issue was the obnoxious , condescending ,narrow minded manager MACKENZIE. Upon talking over and trying to belittle myself and my spouse she even thought that it was smart to look at other employees to talk about us right in front of us and laugh in our face, all while there a customers in the store. She even went as far as saying no one else is going to rent to you . When we left we went to another location and that location said "yes you can change the name on the reservation but the person at the last establishment has to do it" . we went back to McKenzies location and she was in her office at this time, we were on the phone with Geico because Geico had to go in and change the name to my spouses name, we spoke with a Hispanic individual that had the same attitude but he could not move forward so he went to go get McKenzie. McKenzie is in a office that has see-through windows so we are able to see everything that she is doing, when the gentleman went inside her office to get her She looked at us but she did not know I was already looking her way and she made a face and rolled her eyes but when she seen that it was Me while making eye Contact with her she hurried up and got up , came to the desk and repeated herself again . They thought that this embarrassing situation was humorous something that they could talk about in a group once we left, something that could be talked about with the customers . After calling over 20 locations we were able to finally find a vehicle thankfully at another location across town, we were informed that McKenzie put in the notes " do not rent to this person and she also put in the notes don't have a drivers license to inform other locations to not move forward with us "We were calm with this person we were compliant with this person and she proceeded to make our situation horrible because she could have any type of care in the world . All she knows is that she had authority at her branch to Dina's she pleased .She is in this position not only to direct but she is in this position to figure out a solution and instead of figuring out a solution she shut us down. This situation was so embarrassing and so time consuming . Today September 1st . Given the fact that I had called nearly six Enterprises in the Houston area, went to one out town who told me Saturday that they had over 40 cars and only had a Versa by Monday morning, this place would have easily received five stars for at least having something decent and comparable to my car to rent out. After being lead on by the Enterprise in Brenham--yes Brenham, Blue Bell Texas--a 45 minute drive from Cypress and not being told that morning that they had overestimated their inventory, I asked for a location in Cypress. I was given this location aloing wth the names of the managers for me to talkt to if I had issues. I talked to John, the assistant manager, who understoof my plight and ensured me that he had some vehicles for me to choose from when I arrived. Never saw John, but the guy who helped me was very friendly and had a sense of humor, Very personable. He actually showed me the work that the body shop did on his Camry that I was having mine done at. Since I hate renting cars because of the simple fact that other people drive them, I asked about how much mileage is on the car, when the oil was changed, and the tire pressure checked. I do not play. The representative wasn't intimated by my questions and was patient with my inspecrtion of the vehicle--including the trunk. Don't want any surprises. Desppite my inspection, I noticed later that the inside could have used some cleaning up. Saw what looked like coffee near the dashboard. Wasn't on the seat, but still. Ewww. The car really needs a car wash to be honest with you, but I prefer my cars to come to me dirty so I can see if there is any damage to the vehicle. At least, I was given a dark gray car which kind of mask the dirt, but since this location is within the parking lot of HEB, it doesn't have its own wash. I can't say enough about the amazing customer service that I received from Salma! She went above and beyond what I had expected! There was a problem with the car that we rented! Salma took care of it right away. She kept asking what else she can do to help. I walked out of there feeling like "WOW Salma really takes pride in great customer service!" It's been a long time since I have experienced that! There should be more people like her that truly care about the way their customer's feel. I will definitely be renting from this location again! This is one of those times when I wish I could give "MORE THAN 5 STARS" to a particular business. The guys at this Enterprise location just went WAY above and beyond even "great" customer service to take care of me. I called them literally in a panic when my car wouldn't start and I was going to be late for a doctor's appointment... and got the NICEST, totally sympathetic guy on the phone (named Hung)... and although their usual driver was already making a run to pick someone else up, Hung must have just gotten off the phone and JUMPED in the car to come get me, because he was AT my house in about 10 minutes. And then had all my paperwork ready so quickly that I was out the Enterprise door and on the road in less than 5 minutes. I made it to my doctor's appointment, made it to my exam at school... and did so SMILING rather than being all grumpy and frustrated... thanks to Hung, and his efficiency at getting the job done, as well as his good humor that had me laughing as we drove from my house to Enterprise. When I returned the car, the employee there (Eric) was just as NICE as he could possibly be, and also got me out of there in under 5 minutes. In looking at any other reviews that are less than positive about this location, it seems like people had problems with the reservation process... so I'd recommend just choosing the menu option that lets you talk directly with the employees right at the location itself. I got my car and everything was fine and I returned my car with an extra half a tank of gas from what I got. And when I returned my car, I was paid for the extra gas I put in the car, which was $21. they're now not paying me the initial $50 I put in because "the system won't let us" and it makes absolutely no sense. It also didn't help that the person I spoke to on the phone had an IQ of a rock. Don't recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give a 0 star rating if i could read more

Quite possibly the worst Enterprise location I have had to deal with. Don't get me wrong, the staff are okay, however this location would appear to be way down Enterprises priority list for supplying vehicles. 5 times now I have booked well in advance, or the Corporation I work for has booked me a vehicle and I have not received the vehicle requested. Normally that is just an inconvenience but when it matters and you really need the vehicle you have booked, either for passenger comfort or safety reasons, and staff cannot fulfill your request and treat you very matter of fact it gets frustrating. It's not my fault the people who have the Large size SUV I was supposed to get have extended their rental, you should be able to cater for my booking requirements. Don't try and pass the blame, have a system in place that deals with it. read more

If I could leave a rating of 0, I would. The customer service is at best poor, the response from upper management, even poorer. I've dealt with this location consistently since October of last year. I've been provided dirty vehicles, vehicles needing oil changes, and in one case, a vehicle that needed an inspection within the time frame that I would have the car out, leaving me to drive a vehicle with an expired sticker for nearly a month. To correct the inspection sticker and oil change needed last go around, the branch manager promised to have the Regional manager (Steven) coordinate a switch out in a different state. It did not happen. Yesterday was the SECOND TIME that I've had to change my travel arrangements due to their poor ethics, lack of responsibility, lack of communication, questionable professionalism, and a Regional manager's failure to hold his team accountable vs. just making excuses. On 7/23/2021, a car was finally provided more than a day late following a reservation being placed on 7/21 for a pick up on 7/22 at 7:30a. I clearly explained that I was expected to leave on 7/22 at 3pm; however, didn't get a car until 7/23 at 7:45a. The best part was (1) Enterprise's reservation team confirmed that they had cars on the lot and (2) I passed by and noted aval vehicles on the lot. As I called to check status the day that I was to be on the road, the staff in the local branch, continued to place the call on hold without answering, leaving me on-hold in one case for 45 minutes. At the end of the day, this caused me to have to make a 2-day 800+ mile trip over the course of 15-hours, arriving at 12:30a on 7/24/2021 and of course late for a meeting that occurred at 1p on Friday... And, NOONE even apologized upon my arrival. To back track on 6/4/2021, due to prior issues end of 2020, I called the branch to confirm pickup on the following morning, and I also sent a message to Steven, regional manager, to ensure that I would have zero issues on the morning of 6/5/2021. The branch confirmed that the vehicle would be ready. I get there at 9a and apparently by some error, I learned that I was placed on a do not call list. Steven finally responded around 11:30a and told me that (1) he had just received my message and (2) this error was corrected but I needed to get to the branch by 12p. I rushed down to the branch only to wait in my car while the agent at the time sat outside with a female that he eventually invites in the branch. Once I get into the office, all the lights are off and the gentleman rudely processes my rental in the dark while his female guest awaits for him in the back. Due to issues with me being placed on a do not rent list by accident, I had to manually be entered into the system. This took about 20 minutes while I was there in the dark, even mentioned at one point that the service was awful and agent was rude. His response, "thank you for that." This incident was reported to the branch manager the following week who's excuse was, "he's just filling in here." 7/23/2021, he was still filling in.... Calls placed to the corporate customer service line, as well as the reviews via their follow up system unaddressed. The culture is obviously poor. read more

Rented a car at this Barker Cypress location on Monday. It was booked as a one way to drop the car off in San Anton. When I got to the location they tell me I can't use a debit card must use a CC to pay the deposit. I have been an Enterprise customer for 20 years and have always used a debit card. I have Cc but had to give them to my son and daughter as they were both traveling long distances. Wouldn't want them to get stranded. They told me there was nothing they could do. No Apple Pay or take my CC off my Usaa app. I had a family member come assist me. Asked the rep to apply the USAA discount he said he couldn't do it. The man helping us claimed to be a manager but Refused to give his name. We later found out his name is Steven. As we walked around the car after waiting for 45 mins for it. He says they don't worry about anything smaller than a golf ball size ding. I know Enterprise normally makes note of all dings and scratches. He never told us it was gonna be a 45 minute wait for the car to be cleaned. Worst customer service I have ever had at any car rental place let alone an enterprise. Steven was rude not just to us but also to at least 4 other ppl he was helping. He was dismissive and short with everyone. He did not keep customers apprised of what was going on. Steven has no business assisting customers until he receives some retraining.
