I bought a car through the Hertz Rent2Buy program. All smoothing sailing to find the car I like,…read moretest drive it for three days under its rental period, and make the decision to buy. The sales office was helpful to get the transaction completed. However, when Hertz gets their money, there is absolutely ZERO contact. Try calling the sales office...goes to voicemail whose inbox is full. Try emailing agents...ghosted. I had to resort to writing a google script which would send an email every hour to ask for the paperwork to finally close the sale and get my temp tags and registration. In the meantime, until the sale was closed, I was getting charged $100 every day that the rental wasn't either returned or officially purchased. To the credit of the sales office, they did eventually respond and sent the paperwork. I am still bewildered at how I managed to fill out a purchase order and wire money, only to be sent the EXACT SAME purchase order electronically days later electronically. At this point I already wired the money and thought the contract was signed. Overall very pleased with my purchase, but not pleased at all with the sales office in Cincinnati. Future purchases from Hertz will avoid this office.

If I could give HERTZ a NEGATIVE 100 star rating , I would!…read more We made a reservation at HERTZ for Saturday, July 1 at 9 AM. We arrived at 9:15 AM only to find that the office was closed. Another couple in an old van also arrived at the same time we did stating that they had reservations to pick up on Saturday. Website hours stated that they were open on Saturday starting June 18. Sign on window stated they were open on Saturdays. Google stated that they were open on Saturday. But on a piece of paper taped up sign on the door said they were closed on Saturdays. I did the online check-in ahead of time, never received a call or any contact stating that they were closed and that we wouldn't be able to pick up our rental, and I continued to receive confirmation emails about our Saturday 9 AM pick up Rental. We were very fortunate to have a car that we could take on vacation, but the couple in the van next to us did not. I called customer service and spent every bit of 45 minutes online with them while they tried to find another car for us, to no avail. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with renting a car. If I could give HERTZ a negative 100 star rating, I surely would. Nothing was offered aside from refunding our money. It was just like a shoulder shrug... Sorry we are closed guess you'll have to figure it out on your own. Just for curiosity's sake, I tried to make another reservation on a Saturday and had no issue doing so even though they are apparently closed on Saturdays. I wonder how many more people will be stranded when they can't pick up a rental car because the office is closed ?!? They need to fix the problem. I can't believe they are still open with the piss poor customer service they offer.

I was impressed by Matt because I had an appointment on a Friday morning and he got me right in. Unfortunately the parts for my truck had to be ordered so the work would be delayed until Monday. When I showed up Monday morning, Matt was out in the service drive and saw me and my fiancé pull in. He greeted us by name as we exited the truck. Wow! He remembered us and what we did for work. (We work for Ford in a different town) Matt worked to get us in a loaner vehicle since there was a bunch of work that needed to be done. After we left, Matt kept us up to date, day to day, as to the progress of the work being done. He took care

This was the biggest POS I have ever driven and will NEVER drive another Hyundai again. It didn't have enough room inside for My wife, 2 kids and I. Our luggage had to be cut down by half just to get it in the back, which means we had to do laundry 3 times during our vacation! The POS wouldn't go up hills very well and wouldn't hold the cruise control at all.... sometimes it was 4-5mph below, sometimes up to 7mph over the setpoint! And with this lack of power you would think the turd would get decent gas mileage, but NO - it averaged ONLY 22mpg! LOL, my full sized truck with a 400hp engine gets that in the city! This is the 2nd car I've purchased from the Loveland (Cincinnati area) dealership. Every flag went…read moreup when I was told to try Hertz. I consider myself fare minded and research all things without pre-judgement (I'm a researcher by trade and education). I do my best. However, with car salesman(women) and dealerships I am all in for stereotypes. I trust no one. 1st- There is NO HAGGLING. If you want to call it their gimmick so be it. It's politely and respectfully stated. Here's the car, this is your final price (taxes, etc.) for you to drive it home. 2nd- I paid cash, there was no push to get me into a loan. 3rd- No upselling. They ask if you'd like to hear about an extended warranty. I did. They told me. No bs price. Here's the warranty. You don't get anything else. No "here's a free mug if you buy the warranty." Simple. I took a pen though. It didn't have their name on it. It's not even an upsell- I just took it. 4th- I test drove it. Didn't like it. Drove another under no pressure. "Take it out for a while." That's your time frame "a while." The first test drive (first experience) it went to the shop. 90 minutes. They said price was solid, so was the car. 5th- Salesman. Great guy, James N. Not sure if I can give you his last name. We talked about the car a lot. Cool. Then we shot the s#@t about other stuff. GREAT guy. If he was an ass I still would have bought the car. Buy a car from him or just hang out. If you want call that a gimmick. 6th- The cars- research why rental companies sell cars at the 25- 30k mark. Easier to sell a car at 3oK miles than 40K miles. They want to keep the rental stock fresh. I don't like renting a 50 mile car that's 3 years old anymore than you do. 7th- The warranty that comes with the car is great. Look at the fine print- no b.s. Great. Look at most used car warranties. READ them. Deductibles and restrictions abound. READ the fine print. READ. 8th- My car had 3/4 tank of gas. Would have liked a full tank but I stole a pen so whatever. 9th- You have to PAY for the car. Only catch. Steal a pen- not the car. 10th. Longest Yelp review ever. Hertz- send me a free mug and I'll buy again. I'll send the pen back.

I had an extremely unprofessional experience with Avis Car Rental in Mason, OH. I called on 12/22…read moreto confirm my reservation and was given no indication of any issues. Then, only 30 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, I was called and told that they did not have the vehicle I had reserved--for a trip I was already preparing to leave for. This kind of last-minute notification is unacceptable, especially after proactively confirming the reservation in advance. A reservation should mean the vehicle is available, or at the very least, that the company communicates issues well ahead of time so customers can make alternate arrangements. Calling half an hour before pickup shows a complete lack of planning and disregard for customers' time and travel commitments. This situation caused unnecessary stress and disruption to my travel plans. I expected far better communication and reliability from a national rental company. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously impacted my trust in Avis, and I will think twice before booking with them again.

They're always straightforward with the terms and have never tried to upcharge me or dock me for running a little late/early.
