    I write this a day after The occurrence I encountered still flabbergasted that an individual working for Enterprise would be so aggressive and confrontational to the point of leaving me shaking from threats. I rented a van from Enterprise in Denver Colorado with the express understanding that I would return the vehicle once I arrived in Brooklyn New York. I was told be several individuals at Enterprise that I could return the van at ANY open Enterprise location once I arrived. When I first pulled up in this Enterprise lot I was greeted by a young lady who stated she would process my return as soon as she found a spot to park the van. Almost immediately thereafter I had the misfortune of encountering "William". He refused to give me his full name even later with 2 police officers present. He very rudely stated "you are not returning that van here!" When I asked why he said he did not have the room when half of the lot was empty (I have pictures and videos documenting everything I am stating.) He became more and more nasty, agitated and threatening saying he would "have the van towed if I left it." He was so angry losing control and began moving Enterprise cars and peeling tires in the process. I called Enterprise to explain the situation including the fact that I was tired after driving for 3 days and that I was told I could return anywhere and was simply trying to do so. The agent I spoke to told me to leave the van within the lot which I proceeded to do. I left the keys on the front seat as William again in a threatening manner asked me for the keys to drive the van off the lot and have it "towed". I left and went to dinner with my son and his gf. A little over 2 hrs later I happened to drive by in an Uber and noticed a police cruiser with lights on with two officers inside facing in the wrong direction towards a white van and realized I was in front of Enterprise. William had vindictively placed the van in the middle of the street with the windows down, no keys, no hazard lights on for the van to either be hit or towed. I explained to the officers what had occurred earlier as they were about to call the explosive squad. I called Enterprise and once again explained the situation at which time they decided to call AAA and have the van towed to another nearby Enterprise location. The agent was shocked by what had occurred and the lack of professionalism on the part of their worker. The officers asked me to meet them the next day to identify the individual that "placed the public in a hazardous situation." William demonstrated the same atrocious attitude towards the officers refusing to give his last name and starting that he had spoken with his regional manager who told him he did nothing wrong. He lied both to me and to the officers. I paid a $150 drop off fee as this was clearly booked as a one way rental and he changed the fact. I obviously will NEVER rent a vehicle from Enterprise again and would warn you CLIENTS BEWARE unless you enjoy being treated like dirt after giving them your hard earned money. Enterprise shame on you for hiring individuals that obviously need anger management and would not think twice of placing individuals in danger simply to be right and make a point.

Reserved a vehicle which of course was not available in person. Alright, expected. So I was offered something else which turned out better. The fee came up to $310 on line, in person you gotta pay a deposit of $300. Alright not expected but I'm cool I'm calm. Then I was told the debit card thing was BS and the credit card thing gotta have a onetime transaction. Waste of time and energy. Nothing like that was discussed. Definitely should add these things to the fine print. Anybody know a good car rental place for the future ?

Johnny the branch manager is amazing - he was friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and quick. He answered all of my questions and made some recommendations about the return of the car that saved me tons of time (not arriving at a certain time when the courthouse next door is having rush hour). He helped me with car selection, got me a great vehicle, and set my mind at ease regarding the insurance coverage which I had questions about. Return was also a breeze, thanks to Johnny's advice about timing and the prompt and professional attention from the lovely Z. Z was friendly and the return process was simple - she met me at the car, worked quickly and calmly, and I didn't even have to step into the office. I made a mistake in not reading all of the fine print (they did it all right - I did not see something - it was my error) and upon returning the car both Paul and Rico resolved and handled it with such kindness, understanding and total professionalism. They didn't just fix my issue when I was in a panic - they made me feel valued at National car rental throughout the entire return process. It's rare to find customer service this good, and it made a huge difference in my travel day. Because of Paul and Rico, I'll always choose National when I rent a car. SO easy & highly recommend this location!!!!!

I booked a rental online a week in advance with a 6:00 PM pickup time. On February 4 at 10:07 AM, I received a call from the location confirming my pickup. No additional requirements or concerns were mentioned. On the day of pickup, Ben called me at 5:35 PM and told me I needed to arrive earlier because the location closes at 6:00 PM, despite the system allowing customers to book 6:00 PM pickups. I explained that I was in class until 5:50 PM and that the location is a short walk away. I arrived on time and was then told by Ben that I needed two utility bills (cable, internet, or utilities) showing my address. This requirement was never mentioned during booking or during the confirmation call. We were standing in a parking garage, and I was expected to immediately produce documents I had never been told to bring. While I attempted to access my account online, Ben repeatedly rushed me and asked whether I would have it "in the next five minutes." When I pointed out that no one had informed me of this requirement earlier, Ben stated--in a dismissive and mocking tone--that they had called and left a voicemail. This was inaccurate. I answered the call and spoke with someone directly. There was no voicemail. There were two other employees present during this interaction who remained silent while this took place. While I was there, I overheard them joking that they were only cleaning and vacuuming because "Michael" was coming the next day, which they discussed openly. That comment did not inspire confidence in how the location is normally run. Ben then told me they were closing and that I would need to return in the morning. I explained that I needed to be in Long Island by 10:00 AM. He said the location opens at 8:30 AM and that he would schedule me for then. After leaving, I received a confirmation for 7:30 AM, which directly contradicted what I had just been told. An employee referenced Michael in a way that indicated he is in charge. I would genuinely appreciate a call from him, as this experience reflects serious breakdowns in communication, customer service, and overall operations that should be addressed with real customer feedback. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable proceeding and cancelled the reservation entirely. I will be taking my business to AVIS down the block next time. As long as Ben is working at this location, I would not recommend renting here unless you are comfortable being spoken to dismissively and dealing with last-minute, undisclosed requirements.

Well Silvercar has a place on the website to sign up for this, but the last two times I've tried to use their service, the day before I go to pick up the car I get a message that they are in the middle of a Policy transition, and the insurance isn't available. Well now, if I rent the car, it's like I'm driving without insurance, so I have to cancel, but wait, it's only the day before, and all the ZipCars are rented, and well, time to cancel the trip. It takes the team about 35 minutes upstairs, and then you'll have to wait in a hot basement for another 25 minutes. It's ironic because if I return the car just one minute late, I get charged a full day's late fee, but they can start my rental an hour late without any refund for me. I've rented from here over a dozen times, and it's consistently a terrible experience. The unfortunate part is that the staff are trying their best; however, they simply aren't adequately staffed to handle the business volume. Having only two people in the basement processing 300 returns, cleaning cars, and checking out customers is absurd. After you return the car, make sure to check your receipt, as they will likely fraudulently charge you for a fuel service fee even when the receipt indicates that the car was returned with a full tank. This has happened to me nearly every single time, and I have to wait 5 days for the dispute to be resolved. This is how they treat Presidents Club Avis customers. Can't imagine how people booking on third party apps are handled.

I know little stuff to look for since I rent a lot, and cover myself as much as I can. I choose to fill the gas tank to where it is now when I return it. Every rental place I have been to gives you a full tank. This wasn't and the games begin,.,,, When the office asked the fuel level over the radio, the lot/garage guy on the radio said G4? Not clear, I checked. The car had a half a tank so I took a picture of it with the millage. I asked about that and the guy at return said half. I mentioned I had a photo anyway. There's over 3/4's so they can't charge me. They also have a dishonest practice I caught, and confronted them in the garage, and office. They PURPOSELY put the EZ PASS/EZ TOLL SENSOR DOWN when you pick up your car. Tricky.. Every single place gives you that choice, and tells you to flip down if you want it. If you don't check it, and pay cash on the Bridge or turnpike, you'll have to call a number, too bad.. Lame stuff but true. Some woman was picking up a car and I pointed it out. She wasn't happy. Every car all over there I seen had it down!! BS! Customers in the office were curious when I mentioned it. Nothing was said but call a number if charged. That proves its scammy. They'll probably say you bumped it, or show us your cash receipts.. Your screwed. Using Kayak/Priceline type of combination the insurance is cheapest of you want it. And the cost was lowest I found. So check your GAS tank before and after with a photo, Check the EZ FLIPPER to be UP! And buy the cheap insurance so you can get a surprise. Get a receipt when you leave, and confront what I mentioned so they think twice about deception. Great world we live in these days, huh. Only one thing I'm waiting for is them to say there's some damage. The office woman seemed cheery when I mentioned I had coverage from elsewhere. ?? The car is the way I got it. I will update if it happens. If all this is too much to deal with, keep looking for better reviews and go there.

    What a horrible experience, from start to finish…read more This location is inside of a monthly parking garage, and they had one attendant staffing the entire operation when I went on a Friday morning right at open. No self-service either. Just a long line of people with reservations, forced to wait to check in (again) at the counter. It took me over 45 minutes just to check in, despite having reserved a car weeks in advance. Moreover, their hours on the window don't match the hours listed in the app, which means that booking online is unnecessarily restrictive (and apparently useless, since this location doesn't honor online reservations). Hertz, if you can't hold partner locations to some sort of standard, at least let us know ahead of time, so that folks know where to give their business. Definitely do not rent from this location!

We had already wasted so much time that we took the EV and subsequently spent so much time and money taking cabs everywhere while the car charged. Such a waste. And every person at Hertz says "there's nothing they can do" because "we signed for the car." No mention of the fact that we had PAID EXTRA to RESERVE a GAS CAR at 10:00 AM. I truly hope all upper management for Hertz has an awful, terrible life due to the mistakes of others while everyone sweetly apologies and says "there's nothing we can do." I have never felt such hatred for a brand before and can't wait to shout from the rooftops at everyone I know to avoid Hertz like the plague. Doesn't care about their employees or their customers. Doesn't deserve to be in business. I hope the company suffers a swift & painful downfall.
