Once again, I feel it is important to share my experience with this location as it was one of the most frighteningly heinous experiences I've had in renting a vehicle. I was hit by a drunk driver and needed a rental car. I was picked up by a kind woman at this enterprise location from the body shop. When I arrived. I was told that they only had two vehicles on the property. One was a minivan, and one was a Nissan Versa. I asked his opinion on what would be the better choice and he suggested the Nissan. We did the usual look over of the vehicle to make note of any damages, of which there were plenty! The car had clearly been in a couple of minor accidents, but he assured me that they would have more cars in the coming days and I could return it for something to my liking, given that my insurance covers a vehicle up to $50 per day. About 30 minutes into doing my day today errands, I noticed ants were crawling all over the dashboard. Black ants, crawling all over the dashboard and then suddenly, me! It was very concerning, but I figured there were just a few, and I would return the car for something else the next day. When I called the book a location, no one was available, so I was sent to a call center and told that my issue was escalated and I would hear from them in 30 minutes. No such thing ever happened, so I went to four other locations in the Boca/Delray area to find a replacement. All of which had no cars. Finally, at the location in Delray Beach on Federal Highway, I was told that my best option was to go to the Palm Beach airport. This was after the very nice gentleman at Delray was texting personally back-and-forth with the man that I initially interacted with in Boca, who never ultimately called him back. At this point, my daughter and I are driving on the highway to West Palm absolutely covered in hundreds if not, thousands of ants crawling all over the entire car, when all the sudden spiders started to emerge from the ceiling of the car! Spiders! When we finally got to West Palm Beach, I had thousands of ants inside my purse! After about 30 minutes of trying to get them out of my purse, I was finally able to exchange the car for something much better, thank goodness. About 36 hours later I received a call from Boca about my inquiry. That was "escalated". I don't know who I spoke to on the phone, but this gentleman was extremely rude after I explained the entire story to him. He had nothing to offer me Nor any apology whatsoever. The conversation would be equivalent to purposefully stomping on my feet. When I ultimately returned the vehicle to the location in Delray, the salesman was absolutely shocked and appalled to hear about how I was treated by the enterprise in Boca Raton. He told me he would talk to a manager as that was completely unacceptable and of course I have heard nothing. I will never ever ever ever use the enterprise in Boca Raton again. Do better! read more

Rented a Nissan car not by choice. Driving it home from enterprise was a bit scary. Two days later, I was called that the car was recalled. I was told to bring it back that day. I had no one to take me back home after returning the car. I was told that if I didn't bring it back, I would have to pay for towing. This has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Enterprise Rent-A-Car charged me $500 over two weeks ago, even though the bill was fully covered by my insurance (State Farm). Since then, I've called multiple branches and customer service numbers, and absolutely no one has been able to help me. Every person I spoke with said they didn't know anything. I've been passed from one clueless employee to another with zero results. I asked several times to speak with a supervisor - no response. It's clear that no one at Enterprise cares about their customers once they take your money. At this point, I feel scammed. I have no refund, no answers, and no accountability from this company. Everything about my rental from the west Boca Enterprise location was great until I just got charged $13.00 on my debit card for using the Sawgrass Expressway two times. From my research, University Drive to and from State Road 7/US 441 does not incur toll charges and yet I was charged $13. If I had known this, I would have stayed on non-toll roadways. I have a reservation code from Ford, because my car is on warranty service. I reached out to 2 Enterprise locations and they told me that only Ford cars can be rented with this code, but they didn had any Ford. I called10 times to Enterprise and no-one tells me where can I go to pick up a Ford car, they just don't understand a simple information that i need. So i supose to go to each Enterprise location to try to find a Ford car??? They can not look in the system and let mne know where to go???? I just need to know, which Enterprise closer to Boca Raton has a Ford expedition (or similar) available to pick it up!!!! read more

Enterprise Boca Raton West Manager can use a lesson in customer service! Stay away from this location very few cars poor service in a manager (juan) who could care less. You can always get an Uber or a rental through Uber through Hertz for much less money. The only reason to go to enterprise is the customer service and if it's lacking as it is in the Boca Raton West branch what's the purpose in paying higher prices? I'd like to edit my review to address the business Manager's response. I've already contacted the contact us escalation group who will escalate my complaint, which usually means nothing gets done. Instead of addressing the issues you tweak a templates response hoping the complaint goes away. Enterprise normally delivers a high level customer experience. Unfortunately, that is not at all the case with this location. In general, the employees are completely unfriendly and act as if they are doing you a major favor by even taking your reservation. More specifically, my wife recently reserved a car for our daughter at this location. When my daughter and I arrived at the location the employee informed her (rudely) that they only had 2 available cars. The odor in the first car they showed my daughter was so bad she declined to take it. The second car was almost as bad, but in the interest of time and given they had no other cars, she reluctantly took the second car. When we all got in the car to go to dinner a few hours later the smell was so bad we couldn't even sit in the car. In addition, there was trash all over the back seat area. Why they would EVER deliver a car in this condition to a customer is beyond me. I then called the location to tell them I wanted a different car and asked them to credit the first day of the rental fee because the car was essentially not drivable. The employee could not have been more condescending or passive aggressive and IMO seemed to enjoy telling me she wouldn't give me a credit. Her reasoning was that my daughter accepted the car as if it was my daughter's fault that the car stunk to high heaven and was filled with trash. There wasn't even an adequate apology--just a hard no to my request for a credit on the bill. Needless to say I was not happy. I asked to talk to a supervisor and was told one would call me the next day. Of course, no one ever called. I had an even worse experience with this location in the past, but assumed that was an aberration so I gave them another chance. That was a mistake I will not make again. I didn't know that Yelp existed when I had my bad experience with Enterprise car rental. Now I can vent. I was lied to by the intake girl. She tricked me into checking the box for auto insurance. I specifically said that I didn't want the insurance because I was covered by my own insurance. When I noticed the charge on my credit card, she denied doing this. She absolutely lied and nothing could be done because this was considered a "3rd party " charge. I wasn't protected by my credit card. Finally, the manager was able to take some money off the bill but, the charge was still a lot. I will NEVER use this company again. Buyer beware. read more

The absolute worst rental car experience - twice. A few months ago I had reserved a car a month in advance, and confirmed the day prior. I showed up and they did not have a car (minivan) available. And so, for my most recent trip I called 20 minutes prior to arrival to confirm the car I rented was available. I was told it was and that they would get it ready for me. I showed up within 18 minutes (2 minutes earlier than I said would be). I was told that the car that they said was ready for me they ended up giving away to someone else. Not only did they not have a car that I reserved and was told 20 minutes earlier was ready, the customer service was atrocious. I reserved a rental car online, ubered to this exact location as confirmed in my email, to pick it up. After arriving, the associate had us wait outside bc of Covid for ten minutes then finally after I knocked a tall, skinny gentleman explained they were understaffed and asked for the credit card it was reserved on and license, he THEN said there were no cars available. He told me he could see if another location had a car available but could not provide a ride there and would not reimburse me for the uber I took there.. After 20 mins of standing outside, waiting for an update, another associate who was a rude, middle aged female stated there were no cars anywhere locally and she does not know what we wanted her to do. She waved her hand rudely in my partners face and told him and I to leave since there was nothing she could do. The level of unprofessionalism and lack of teamwork this staff has, is pathetic. My wife rented a 12 passenger van in May for the week of July 1st to July 8th. On the day of the rental pickup July 1st I called the West Boca Raton office on SR7 AT 2PM To find out if the rental was ready only to be told they had no vehicle for me. They said they tried calling and sent emails but could not reach us yest we received no emails or missed calls. Our experience was horrendous try finding a rental on the weekend of July 4th! . I called the customer service line without any resolution. We would not recommend Enterprise to ANYONE.They do not give a $#!+ about their customers. I rented a car online at Carrentals.com, which went through this Enterprise location. Although I had a specific time and date to pick up the car, no cars were available went I went. I waited about an hour and a half to finally get my car. (That's why I deducted one star.) Here's why they got 4 stars: The staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. They were so sorry for the delay and made every effort to make it up to me. I ended up very happy with the car I got and the experience I had. Enterprise has always been one of the most recognized car rental agencies in the world. Though prices are set just as they should be for nowadays, the service is what puts them on top. We rented a car from them for just a couple of days to make a quick journey up to Orlando and it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. We had decided to rent an 'Economy' car but when we checked in the morning of, and they brought the car out, it was perhaps the ugliest car I had ever seen in my entire life. Not only that but I wasn't even sure if I was going to be able to fit inside of it. So, we asked Stephanie if we could upgrade and we were able to upgrade from the 2009 urine yellow Chevy Spark to a 2013 black Nissan Altima for just an additional $7/day. Well worth it.. plus, we got better gas mileage in the Nissan than we would have in the Chevy. The experience all around was great. Quick and easy pick up and the same goes for the drop off. They are very friendly and everyone always seems to want to be there. I haven't rented many cars but if I ever am in need of renting another car, Enterprise is where I will go. Not only will the great pricing and lenient car options be bringing me back for more but the customer service experience was through the roof. There is just too much to write and can go on for days but for now, it's easy to sum up the whole experience.. five stars and will be back to this location time and time again. read more

I had made a reservation ten days prior to the Thanks Giving holiday for a small car. When it came time to get it, the only vehicle available was a four door Pickup truck. The person who attended me was unnecessarily argumentative when I politely complained, and it was clear that Enterprise didn't want to take any responsibility for their short coming. Being that Pickup trucks are not allowed to park overnight in my community, I had to go through the process of informing the HOA about this issue. Enterprise charged as if it was a small car, but the inconvenience they put me through, and the associate's attitude is something I did not expect to experience from family-owned Enterprise. Friendly service and cars are usually available on site. I have rented here many times, and other than a single case where my car was not clean, I have not had an issue. As you know from the ads, they offer pick up service, but make sure to add a 1/2 hour to your departure time as sometimes they may run a little behind. Hours are from 7:30 to 6:00 pm, so this may be somewhat inconvenient for some folks, since if you get back after 6 pm, you have to go back and return the car the next day.
