Dealt with Thomas at first and he was fine until I went to test drive the 3rd vehicle and pretty much told me that I couldn't test drive it off the lot. After asking around, I was told that wasn't a rule and I felt lied to. Also found out that the vehicle I came specifically for was going into Service and was told it would be impossible for me to test drive it at all. When I told Thomas I didn't want to deal with him anymore after that, I got with Bryan Staggs who I had previously talked to before coming. I informed him how I felt lied to from Thomas and he apologized for it, told me I could have test drove the vehicle I originally came for just I couldn't leave the lot because it was undergoing a safety concern in service. Which made more sense and glad he informed me of this. Bryan also tried his best to work some numbers for me for another vehicle I was really interested in but unfortunately we couldn't get the numbers in the price range I was trying to stay in and I had to walk away. Regardless Bryan was super helpful from the time he contacted me over the phone, sent me more pictures/video of the truck, and the entire interaction with him physically! Talking with Bryan felt like talking with a long time friend! If you are dealing with Haley Toyota of Roanoke, I recommend getting with Bryan! Don't do business with Thomas!

Given that I was planning to drive to the OBX on the same trip, I decided it would be best if I were to have the car serviced while on my 'road trip'. Mind you: my car has ONLY ever been serviced at Radley Acura and I am very particular about my car's service. Regardless, I got what felt like a square deal: no gimmicks of more repairs that needed to be made, they fixed the recall issue on my car (a minor corrosive bolt issue) and were pleasant in doing so. Plus, the waiting room was clean and well appointed. The only downsides of this place were location: a little hard to find if you're not from the area; timeliness: we were there for nearly two hours to have the warranty 'cover' applied, have an oil filter and oil changed, and my tires rotated (we were quoted an hour). Needless to say if you have an Acura and are in the SW Virginia region--- this is a solid dealership in which you can have your car serviced.

I left with a beautiful car and the knowledge that Jim and Parks are going to continue to be there for me as an Acura owner. I hope to drive my Acura for a long time, but when the time comes for something new, Parks has likely earned themselves a repeat customer.

They say it's not what you do when everything is going well that counts--but what you do when…read morethings don't go as planned. This is still an ongoing situation, but I'm hopeful that, in time, relationships can be repaired and we can move forward. To start with the positive: Sam, the service manager, went out of his way to get me in for a state inspection. It wasn't urgent for them, but it was for me--especially after being reminded by Floyd County PD that driving with an expired inspection (mine had lapsed since August) wasn't acceptable. I called Priority because they've always taken great care of our Odyssey. They got me in quickly and handled the inspection, oil change, front brakes, and tire rotation--excellent work as always. During that visit, they also identified two oil leaks and a couple of non-urgent issues we planned to address later. Two weeks ago, however, the driver-side caliper seized, so we decided to fix everything at once. The repairs were completed, but on the drive home, I noticed oil leaking and smoke from it burning underneath the vehicle. By the time I got home, the leak was worse than before, and I had to add oil just to stabilize it. I brought it back in the following week. They found that the oil pan had cracked around the bolts, with a piece broken off. Their initial solution was for us to pay for a full replacement. That led to a disagreement--emotions got high, tempers flared. I'll be the first to admit it wasn't my best moment, nor my wife's. Eventually, we reached a resolution: they would replace the oil pan and complete the repair at no charge. However, we were also told not to bring our vehicles back. That part didn't sit right with me. I don't like burning bridges. As a former leader, I understand that management has to protect their team and stand by their technicians. From that standpoint, I respect the overall manager--they're doing exactly what a good manager should do. When I picked up the truck, I spoke with Van and Sam. I apologized for my part in how things escalated. I also made it clear that we never questioned Logan's ability. Out of multiple repairs, one didn't go as planned--that happens. Even the best technicians miss sometimes. I've turned wrenches myself; I know no one is perfect. My frustration came from expectations. Priority Honda has always operated at a high standard, and that's why I bring my vehicles there. When something didn't align with that standard, it stood out. At the same time, I understand they're running a business. Costs are up everywhere, and margins are tight. No shop has unlimited flexibility to absorb unexpected issues. What matters to me is this: Logan, Sam, and Van are solid professionals. They communicate well, they stand behind their work, and when something went wrong, they ultimately made it right. Every other repair they performed was done well--I'd trust my vehicle to make a cross-country trip based on their work. What I struggle with is being told not to return. I hope the conversation I had with Van and Sam opens the door to reconsider that. Because if we can't return for service, it naturally affects future business decisions--including purchasing our next vehicle, which we had planned to do through Priority. I choose businesses based on relationships. When people are honest, stand by their word, and treat customers fairly, they earn my loyalty. Sam, Van, and Logan have earned that trust. If they recommend a repair, I believe them. But relationships go both ways--and right now, that's uncertain. My wife and I are combat veterans, and I served 22 years in the Navy. When we drive from Bent Mountain to Peter's Creek Road, that's not convenience--that's trust. Over 11 years, we've had consistently positive experiences. That matters. Yes, there was a 10-minute stretch where emotions got the better of everyone. We own our part in that. But it doesn't erase over a decade of good interactions. I apologized sincerely. I acknowledged their professionalism. I even asked that my confidence in Logan be passed along to him. What I hope for now is simple: that this can be seen as a bad moment--not the end of a long-standing relationship. From what I was told, there may still be an opportunity for us to return for standard service, just not major repairs given the age of my truck. That seems like a reasonable middle ground. So now, the ball is in their court. In the meantime, I may have to look elsewhere--but I'd much rather not. I don't want to drive to Christiansburg for service when I've had a trusted shop closer to home. Surely this isn't the end. To be continued...

BEWARE! This business uses deceptive pricing. When you book…read morean appointment online, you're shown a price that appears to be what you'll pay. After I dropped off my car, I received a call saying the cost for the exact same services I had booked online was more than 30% higher--an increase of several hundred dollars. When I asked Sam how customers are supposed to know they'll actually be paying so much more than the advertised price, his response was, "That's why we call you." That told me this isn't an isolated mistake--it's simply how they do business. He then offered to remove some of the recommended services to "get the labor down," while warning me I'd have to come back later to have them done. If those services are truly necessary, why are they suddenly optional? The entire process felt misleading and lacked any transparency. What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of concern for the customer experience. There was no attempt to make things right--just an "oh well" attitude, even after I explained that I was leaving without having the work done because the price was so different from what THEY quoted online. I had been disappointed with previous visits but decided to give them one last chance. That was a mistake. I left without the service and will gladly take my business to a shop that is upfront and honest about pricing. Update: When I went to pick up my vehicle without having the services done due to clearly deceptive business practices, the manager, Van, was there. Sam had told me Van had "heard the whole conversation," yet no one apologized or attempted to address the situation. It was actually the complete opposite! Van stood there without introducing himself as the manager or apologizing. Then, unbelievably, as we were standing behind the yellow line at the service desk, one of their employees struck my husband with the side mirror of a vehicle being moved through the shop--right in front of the manager. No apology. Barely an acknowledgment. They should review their security footage if there's any question about what happened. This could have been YOUR car! Between the misleading pricing, poor customer service, and complete lack of accountability, I would NOT recommend this business if you care about your car or wallet! There are plenty of repair shops that value honesty, transparency, and customer safety. I highly suggest taking your vehicle to one of them instead!

Updating my original 1 star review to 4 stars…read more My original review came after a frustrating experience involving the engine recall on my 2023 Nissan Rogue, confusion surrounding the warranty coverage, and ongoing issues with my infotainment system and a dashboard rattle that had existed for years. To make matters worse, multiple Nissan dealerships in California, Oregon, and Virginia either couldn't fix the problems or simply dismissed them by saying, "they all do that." After my concerns were escalated, Jim Wise, Director of Fixed Operations at Southern Team Nissan, personally got involved. He took the time to review the situation, listened to my concerns, and worked to make things right. That level of involvement was appreciated, especially after spending years trying to get these issues addressed without success. Southern Team Nissan updated the software in my infotainment system and removed portions of the upper dashboard to diagnose and address the rattle. So far, the results have been positive. The backup camera and stereo are functioning properly, and the dashboard rattle that had been driving me crazy appears to be gone. Time will tell, but the vehicle is performing the way it should right now. I also appreciate that Southern Team Nissan did not charge me diagnostic fees or repair costs for addressing these concerns. While I still believe the original situation could have been handled much better, I think it's important to recognize when someone takes ownership of a problem and genuinely tries to resolve it. Throughout all of this, my Rogue itself has otherwise been a reliable vehicle. My frustrations were never really about the vehicle as much as they were about getting longstanding concerns taken seriously and receiving consistent information. In the end, Jim Wise and the team at Southern Team Nissan succeeded where several other Nissan dealerships had fallen short. Because of that, I'm updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars. The original experience was not deserving of 5 stars, but the effort, professionalism, and willingness to make things right absolutely deserve recognition.
