The hem on my pants - one leg 3/4 inch longer than the other, and each hem irregular and uneven.
Anissa A.

I wish I had the same experience as the other yelpers. I am only in DFW part time, but had a recommendation for this place, so decided to use them. I took a suit which needed significant alterations to the pants, and 2 dresses and a pair of pants that needed only hemming. The lady is very nice, seems to like her clients and seems to know the right look needed for altering the clothes. That is unfortunately, where my good experience ends. After trying on and pinning all the clothes, she says it'll be 3 plus weeks for them to be ready. Well, ok, could I possibly get only the suit in 2 weeks for a conference, my last trip to Dallas before then? Agreed. She accepts only cash or check, which was a bit of a surprise to me, so she agreed to allow me to pay at pick up - but then cash only. She also made a curious statement about 'if I needed to bring the clothes back for anything I had to let her know in one week after pickup'. That should have been a red flag to me that she gets a lot of returns, because in all my dealings with a lot of tailors, I've never been told that. She also did not give me a itemized receipt for my items, which of course, should have also been a red flag. So 2 weeks later, I had my husband pick up the suit and bring it home. The pants are a complete disaster. The crotch was not taken in enough, the legs are completely different lengths FROM EACH OTHER - obvious at the first glance in the mirror, probably 3/4 inch difference between the two - and the hem in each leg is completely uneven. I could have done a more even hem using an iron and that iron-on hemming tape. I would have been embarrassed for anyone who claims to have done that work. I called her she said sure, bring them in to fix, that sometimes what looks uneven is right. When I stand if front of the mirror and go WOW, the legs are completely different lengths - there is no debating that is wrong. "The customer is always right" was definitely not the assumption here. A week after that, hubby returns for the rest of the clothes, and comes back with the 2 dresses. I said I told him 3 items, he says she said she only had two. I called her on a weekday during business hours to tell her of the missing pants - she asks, can I call back another time, when she has time to look for the item? Like I'm inconveniencing her, versus apologizing for us having to make another trip because she doesn't track her items. So, 4 trips to the tailor in over a month and $214 for 3 hems that any dry cleaner could have had done (if I could have done the measurements, granted), and a suit that is a complete disaster. I'm actually going to pay money to have someone else fix the pants rather than make a fifth trip to someone who doesn't take better care of their customers and their items. Maybe she has saved the day for some people, but unfortunately I got a bad result and poor service.

Although I should not have waited until the last minute, I am so very grateful I found Shahin.

Faux Fur Blanket - they told me upfront that it was damaged and offered to refund the $35 dry clean. I told them the cost of the West Elm blanket and asked for them to pay for a new one. After about 20-30 minutes of waiting while they went back and forth with their manager, they agreed and apologized profusely. They asked me not to write a negative review, and I was not going to as they apologized and paid for the item, BUT that was until I got home and saw my dress ruined, and they refused to admit fault. Dress - VERY different experience - women working in the front was very rude this time and refused to responsibility for the damages. She told me the stains and snags were there previously, which is an objective lie and I have countless photos of me wearing the dress (wore it ONE time). She refused to admit any responsibility despite causing numerous stains and snags. I asked to speak to the manager and she refused to tell me what day or time he works. I asked for him to call me, she told me not possible. I asked for him to email me, also not possible. She could offer nothing other than for me to call the store every day and ask if he was in the store. I wish I never came here. Do not recommend. Do not trust this business with anything you care about. EDIT: I talked to 3 women - one of which was named Pooja, not sure what the others names were. The women with glasses was the women with the dress who refused to accept any fault or take my complaints seriously. Pooja was very kind and apologetic and happy to do what she could to try to make things right when she saw the dress on my 3rd visit back here. She brought out the dry cleaner who was kind as well and willing to try to get the stains out - still no acknowledgment of the new snags though, and told it was just the material.
