Happy New Year! Oh darn I should go to the gym, so I did. Only ride the bike and I felt great. My right sciatica clearly didn't want to go to the gym and it let me know. I woke up the next day in PAIN!!! I grabbed my phone and started my Yelp searching. Trying to find a good massage place with a sane day opening is like winning the a Lottery lol! I called a few places and left messages. Mary Ann (the owner) called me back quickly and let me know one of her masseuses may have an opening but she had to chk first. Her directions were perfect. The spaces were spotless and very inviting. I explained to Mary Ann what happened at the gym. Anyone that had sciatica issues knows how very painful they are. For the first 1.5 years I was with a wonderful therapist named Anne who was sweet, kind, all about listening to what I wanted to accomplish in each session (relaxation, muscle tension, various pressures depending on my recent workouts, etc) and one of the best massage therapists I've ever been treated by. When Anne moved out of state with her family, the owner, Maryanne, reached out to me and said she wanted to match me with a new therapist with a style much like Anne's and that if I didn't find it to be a good fit, to just let her know and she'd match me with another person. Well, Maryanne was 100% accurate with her assessment of whom would be the best therapist for me when she put me with Omy who is completely amazing! Been going to Omy since Anne left, and I am so grateful to Maryanne for sending me her way. Omy is a thoughtful, compassionate, attentive and very present therapist who applies several techniques and types of massage to tailor-make each session according to my body's needs at the time. She seems almost intuitive - somehow knows exactly how to design the hour so I leave better than I came in and completely relaxed and ready for the next work week. I have been seeing Mary Ann for a few years now and refer her to my friends and family as much as I can. Mary Ann is simply the best in therapeutic massage! For starters she is easy to book with and accommodating. Her location is very central and easy to get to. My boyfriend gave me a Groupon for a massage, like he does every year, so I have had multiple massages in my lifetime. I have scoliosis and have been to chiropractors and their massage therapists along with countless other massage/spa type places. But, this place has been the best yet! I never expect to go back after an initial massage as it isn't usually the same therapist or there is a lack of consistency between appointments. My initial appointment was set for a Thursday afternoon. But Mary Ann called on the Tuesday before to request a schedule change as a therapist had fallen ill. This wasn't just a receptionist-type call to fill an appointment time. Mary Ann took the time to make sure she matched me with a therapist and time that worked best for me, which happened to be on a Sunday with Donna. Like I said, I never expected to return, but this isn't like other places I have been to. It wasn't a high pressure sell or anything like that. It was the attention to detail, the intuitiveness, and the most pleasant disposition from Donna that gave me the BEST massage of my life! I have had two massages with Donna since that initial Groupon visit and I can honestly say that I will never go anywhere else as each session tends to build upon the previous session and has made me feel AMAZING each time. Amazing. I recently injured the muscles in my traps and upper neck and nothing seemed to work to fix it. One of my main concerns with massage therapists is they just give their signature massage and cannot give you the proper attention you really want or need. Mary Anne has experience with all types of massages and had a neck injury herself so she was very knowledgable on what to do. She paid special attention to the areas that were more tense and stressed. She adjusted the massage to my needs and that is key to a good massage. I definitely reccomend her. read more

I had a massage from Maryann for the first time last week. Her office space was comfortable and very relaxing. She did a great job. One of the things I find with many massage therapists is their tendency to talk a bit too much during the massage. Maryann tuned right into my preference for a quiet massage without me having to tell her. This was just one example of many aspects of her strong intuitive abilities and skills at both making a client comfortable and providing a relaxing, therapeutic and healing massage. I will highly recommend her to many of my friend and clients. She also showed me some of the work she has been doing with her other business - interior design. I am very upset that I was unable to use my groupon that my daughter bought for me as a mother day gift . unfortunately I had to cancel my appointment , not because I wanted to and was planning on reschedule but my doctor appt ran over an hour late . I called but couldn't cancel as the nurse was calling me back at that very min. I received a call w/ a message from Maryann advising me that the groupon was already redeemed and I can reschedule but she is going to charge me a rescheduling fee... and for Mary Ann to not only be inconsiderate of the fact I got diagnosed with a perforated ear drum but was going to charge me to reschedule... so not only is she keeping my mothers day present she wants more money.... there are somethings you cant control and believe that you have to sometimes make exceptions... Well, I don't remember when last a customer will give a review on their experience and be completely refused care of any kind due to their review. I had a bad experience with Mary Ann herself and even though my experience with the massage service was a good one, I did talk about how I was badly treated by Mary Ann. Today I tried to book some massage services, Mary Ann refused to give my husband an appointment because, according to her, I wrote about my experience with her. Why wouldn't I write if I have bad customer service from you? I never said the massage was bad, I gave a 5-Star on google but explained the bad customer service we got from you just like today. So you refused to give us an appoint because you were given a review on something that you did? I tried to explain to her that we are ok with the massage service, not the customer service, she just abruptly said bye and hang up the phone. Is that a good customer service Mary Ann? You said the staff at your work had a meeting and do not want to give us their time anymore, we are happy to go elsewhere but I want you to know that we had no issue with the therapist. Worst experience I ever had. therapist's hands were ICE COLD. SHe said all massages start that way. Lotion was cold. she wouldn't warm her hands nor the lotion. It was uncomfortable and I had to stop after 15 minutes. Room was cold. I mentioned the discomfort twice. Maybe it didn't dawn on her to warm her hands or lotion or make her client comfortable and relaxed. Don't waste your time or money. there is no relaxation at this place. read more
