We stopped here on our way into town and were blown away by the deliciousness. We all got burgers and they were so good. The beef comes from Demo's next door so that must be why! I got mine loaded up with cheese and grilled onions, bacon, and jalapeños in addition to the lettuce, tomato, and pickle. It probably didn't need all of that but I loved it. I think the bun to burger ratio is spot on. It's a fabulous beefy burger. I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries especially with the special sauce. The regular fries were good too. The real treat is the ice cream. I loved my swirl of vanilla and huckleberry in a simple cone. Truly the taste of summer! This is a great place to stop to get a delicious bite to eat or a sweet treat in Ennis. I look forward to returning next summer. read more

Stopped in for some burgers. On our way back into Bozeman from Virginia way. Seems like a very Hoppin local Burger joint, it was great that they also had a lot of awesome ice cream options. My husband and I both ordered a cheeseburger and two small size blurs (essentially blizzards). The cheeseburgers weren't anything too special but they really piled on the toppings for the blurrs so was grateful for that!! I sure do love my cookie dough and Oreo's! The service, the fries, the shakes and the chicken sandwich were all excellent. However, the cheeseburger was not good, it was overcooked, almost like a hockey puck! That's not their fault, though, because every order is made fresh and the meat comes from Deemos next door, and that's a butcher shop. People mistake it as a fast food joint, which I mean it can be, but that's not what they're going for. Hot fudge sundae with nuts was delicious! It also had whipped cream a mile high. The chocolate is a little dark, not too sweet. Lots of nuts too. Perfect in every way! When I got a hankering for a good burger in Ennis, Sugar High is my favorite spot. Service is reasonable, especially given how busy they can get at lunchtime (ie. quick service when taking that in to account). French fries and onion rings are always fresh too. I'd say the only downside is that they are not open year-round. Mostly Spring through Summer, but I'm still thankful to have them around in our small town. read more

The ladies here are nice... But the food and the soft serve, no. The burgers remind me of Wendy's, soft white bread, too much sauce, food that make you feel like you should have eaten something else. When I entered the building, the cashier was taking an order. She was wearing a mask, but her nose was not covered. As I waited my turn to order, the cook came out with no face covering and delivered a paper bag to a customer. I was disappointed as I've enjoyed their burgers in the past. I didn't want to make a scene, so I just left. I have underlying health conditions was the reason I chose not to stay and order. Atmosphere is pretty plain but the food was great. Old school hamburger with all the fixings, huge order of fries and really good ice cream is hard to beat. I had more expensive and fancier burgers while we were in Montana but none were better. We'll definitely eat here again when we go back to Montana next summer. read more

Bozeman native. Best hamburger around and prices reasonable. This place is run as a co op by Madison valley teachers during the summer. I've not had a better burger and meat is local. No fillers and doesn't taste like cardboard as many of the national chains provide. Great burger! read more

The fried were great!!! They packaged each of our orders into their own bag , which was cool for the kids. We stopped here on the way home from Virgina City. If you like greasy, sloppy, goodness in a burger this place is for you. The fries weren't bad either. We loved this place. Great for kids and you don't have to worry about noise or a mess. The Ice cream was fairly good. The lady at the register kindly asked if she could give my daughter some M&M's when she saw the little one pointing to them. We will stop here whenever we're in the area. read more
