I cancelled this class more than three weeks before I was scheduled to take it. As their unethical policy states, I received only 50% of the $79 fee, despite a request for rationale as to WHY I would only receive half of the fee and explaining that due to being between jobs at this time, the loss of half of my fee causes financial hardship. I received NO explanation as to why half of my money would be kept (again, I cancelled the class WELL in advance) and my email was not even responded to. Would NEVER use this service again. Just because your policy states something doesn't mean it's right or ethical. I can understand keeping a portion within 24 hours or if there was a no call no show, but I gave you more than reasonable notice. read more

Will was great! The class was small, allowing for one-on-one interaction with the instructor who is a pre-med student and worked as an EMT for a number of years. His first hand experience in that field allowed him to share stories and what to do in similar situations. He even asked the class if there were situations we'd been in where we didn't know what to do and what to do in the future. Very informative and well taught and fun. Def. I took a class last October and have never received my card. Every time I call, I'm told that there was an issue printing the cards. I find it hard to believe that it takes 5 months to print a card. I'm not confident I'll ever receive it. Worst Customer Service ever! This place is a SCAM! read more

Customer service is horrible. They are rude, condescending, and just plain nasty. When you email a complaint directly to EnjoyCPR, it goes unanswered. They take your money...... and in the case of a student emergency they are not very accommodating with either refunding you or setting you up in a new class. The "Refund" policy is so vague, so much, that this company can use it to their advantage, and twist around the interpretation to meet their needs. They "win" every time. read more

I called customer service to let them know of the mishap and that I needed a refund. I was told I would receive a refund in the mail 30 business days and that was back in August. This company is as close to a scam as you can get. They offer a full refund if they make a change to the class. So when they changed my class 2 days before it was scheduled, I asked for a refund. They promised me one and told me it would take 30 business days. It's been 4 months and not only was a refund never initiated after the 30 business days, I've called and emailed them many times and they keep saying "it's held up in accounting and we don't have a phone number to reach them". I submitted to the BBB but they failed to answer that complaint. Don't give them your money- they won't refund you when they inevitably will change your class last minute read more

Instructor was very good. Very knowledgeable. Only complaint I had: there were 2 students who took the class online and they were told to show up to take their hands-on test at the end of the class when WE were taking the written test. What should have been a quiet time to take the written exam was noisy because of these 2 other students talking and using the AED performing CPR simulation.... VERY hard to concentrate in that situation!! read more

Make sure you read all these awful reviews before booking! They are all true. I should have read them before booking for our business. Worst customer service. I booked for a group of 8, which is $85. I told the agent on the phone there would probably be more than 10 and was told that the difference in price (cheaper for larger groups) would be credited to those additional individuals and that everyone would get charged the 10-19 person group rate, which is $75. Now I get the bill and of course they charge me $85 per person for 16 people, not the 10-19 person group rate. When I called them to ask them to correct this, they claim they have "no proof" that their agent told me the rate would be $75, not $85, basically calling me a liar, and they refuse to change anything. Unfortunately I had no way of not knowing I could not take their agent for their word when I spoke over the phone, so I did not ask for an email confirmation. Unbelievable! Could have been a repeat customer but now I will make sure I spread the word about these frauds. read more

The training is sub-par when compared to the RedCross course. As someone who has taken CPR every two years for the last decade I knew what material to expect. If this was my first exposure to CPR I would have walked away clueless. The video was convoluted. Too much going on in the scene and too much explanation on the steps in the process that trained medical staff does when they take over. The course is not about trained medical staff and that time would have been better spent explaining things like: Assessing the scene, calling for 911, what to look for in the person experience cardiac arrest, etc. I think it would be wise to bring back the Red Cross videos. read more

I'm more of a hands on learner and the instructor made sure to give everyone an opportunity to practice hands on and was very informative. The class was decent in informational nature. However, even from a first time CPR/AED learner, I could tell that it was not as professional as needed be. The class was very small so everyone was able to practice the situations and scenes that would be useful to their field (camp counselor, EMT, etc.) but it almost seemed as if the professor was winging the entire class. She knew what she was doing, but was just unprepared in how to represent the information and teach the class. read more

My daughter received her CPR training from Enjoy CPR 2 years ago. She signed up again because she needs the same certification. Once she sent to her new job at Georgetown Hospital, they denied her certificate because it is NOT, I repeat, NOT the same as American Heart Associations. She received the email after the 24 hours so Enjoy CPR would not refund her money. 2 years ago they were American Heart Association but since have changed. Their website states it is equivalent but it is not! The management was rude and uncompromising. As a matter of fact, the management states "this happens all the time, sorry. I can't help you. At least your daughter didn't take the class" I typically take my CPR course from American Red Cross. I realized the money I spent at Enjoy CPR is much more expensive than other places. She had documentation from Georgetown and Enjoy CPR did not care to help. This company only care about the money. It is too bad. read more

The class was informational, Mrs. Mack made the experience enjoyable and made the information presented relatable for all people to understand and help boost people's confidence in trying to save a life. I have taken CPR more than four times and this was not only my worst CPR class, it was the class I have ever taken in any subject. Generally CPR classes are a little dull, but informative. This class was enraging. The only good thing was the location, which was in the beautiful Santa Monica hotel. I had to take the course to get the certification for my teaching credential, but I love learning and I was looking forward to learning what was "new in CPR." Unfortunately, I learned nothing, as the teacher (Susan) was completely incompetent. She had us read aloud from the packet for three and a half hours straight with a half hour for hands-on instruction. For three hours we read aloud in monotone voices about how to apply First Aid. If there was a brief interlude from our reading, it was for her to offer us a story about herself that she told in great detail for a lengthy period of time, AND she would get angry if we did not remain on the edge of our seats in anticipation. She also said that we were reading from the book instead of watching the informative videos because it allowed for more "fruitful interaction." We did not watch a single one of the Red Cross's wonderful informative videos. In my previous classes, I had thought of those videos as cheesy and lame, but oh, how I desperately prayed for their return amidst her agonizing monotony. Needless to say, I did not "Enjoy CPR." read more

Very disappointed. While the class portion went wonderful, getting the cards mailed to me was pitiful. I've never had anything taken from my LOCKED mailbox in the five years of living in my home, but the customer service person I contacted had me send it to another address. When the cards never showed up there, she explained "I checked with the person who creates and mails AHA CPR cards received from the AHA regarding this matter. Each CPR card costs EnjoyCPR $20.00 plus postage to mail. Since your card has been created and mailed twice, mailing another card a third time isn't practical from a business standpoint." So they simply aren't going to take care of the situation. My sixth sense tells me they never send cards to either of the addresses I've provided. This was not a good experience. I took the class for self-enrichment, but I fear for anyone who uses this class in a real-life situation. The basics were skipped, the procedures were glossed over, and everything was rushed. Compressions were taught in 3 minutes. Proper placement of the defibrillator pads was skipped until someone questioned it, and the Heimlich maneuver was taught in 2 minutes, with the class dismissed a half hour early. I'm officially being given a certification card, but I in no way feel equipped to perform this. I'm retaking the class with the Red Cross. read more

Emerald was a fantastic instructor. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about sharing her knowledge. She shared a number of real life experiences that made the content much more relevant. Self inflicted damage I use this company 2 yrs ago, I was not satisfied, but hours and location was convenience so I took the class again. First the instructor was late for over 30 minutes. Complete knowledge of the material questionable, I corrected her a couple of time on important things like wrong compression ventilation rate for infant and child, she argued so I show from my phone the current rate according to the AHA. Also some other discrepancies on the choking section. I was a CPR instructor for 10 years and people taking your class rely on that information to save life. Is not a game but the system make you take this class just to show your company a card. Taking about the card last time took 1.5 months. This time over 2 months out and no card. I call the company and they told me they supposedly send it 5 week after the class or 4 week ago. Never received. Then I mentioned I need a card they told me the card are in back order and they did not have any at this time ?? Can you believe this in a company that due this for living I mean for money. Make yourself a favor try first and AHA center or go to a more trustable center. Do not waste your time, money and patience with this people. read more

I was getting my re-cert in BLS and I would highly suggest anyone else getting a re-cert to take this course. If you are looking to get certified for the first time I'm not sure if I would recommend it. It was extremely fast passed, which made having previous health care experience and previous course knowledge more necessary. read more

The instructor did a good job considering several participants showed up as many as 30 minutes late. The class provided a good reinforcement for those of us who were renewing their certifications, but I'm not sure I would have a good grasp of the material had this been my introduction to the course. Coincidentally, shortly after I renewed, I was almost called upon to perform CPR on a man after a road race. I wasn't the first person on the scene but I was willing to relieve the person performing CPR, as it looked a whole lot more difficult and physically exhausting in real life!! The medics were called and quickly appeared with the defibrillator. He survived and credits the people who performed CPR with saving his life! read more

Worst ever still have not received an electronic copy of my CPR for verification after several requests. No hard copy after I requested it. I would never recommend this organization for CPR for anyone. Attend one that provides the card at the end of the class. read more

The online scenarios were very difficult to figure out until you failed them a few times and started to understand how they worked. I did not feel that they tested knowledge very accurately. The in-person portion was excellent. read more

Terrible policy's. Registered for a class 6 weeks ahead of time. Too far off so I cancelled 3 days later because I found a class for the very next day. I thought, since the class was so far away that I would get a full refund but no only 50% returned because they only give a full refund within the first 24 hours. Very nasty. It wasn't just a few days before the class. They said on their fqa that they have this policy because they can not fill the seat if someone cancels. I am sure they could fill the seat with 6 weeks remaining. I called twice and they said that it is the owners policy and they can't do anything about it. Well I can. I am posting this and I will post on Facebook to warn everyone of their hidden policy. I wouldn't have cancelled if I knew I would be robbed of my money. Every other service allows for a 3 day policy to cancel. Some are even more generous. I will never use the place and no I did not ENJOY them. read more
