I had permanent eyeliner done top and bottom recently. She did a great job with making me feel calm and applying as much as I needed the numbing cream. The place looked clean and we'll taken care of. I had my eyebrows done in chicago but I originally wanted eyeliner. So I finally go the courage and had it done. Guess what eyeliner from a scale from 1-10 I would say the pain was a 4. A little more discomfort towards the end but nothing too bad. This was my first appointment so I still have to go in for a touch up but I know I'm in good hands. read more

April did an amazing job! I was really scared it was going to hurt but she distracted me and made me laugh. It didn't hurt during the process because she puts numbing cream on you but afterwards I would def advise having an Advil. This review is so overdue and I apologize April! SO much has happened in my life since our appointment...anyways.... I just want to say that April has given me the confidence I needed to really feel good about myself. I was always so self conscious about my eyebrows. I barely had any and they were so asymmetric (which I didn't know how asymmetric they were until I went to see April and she used the grid on me). I was shocked at how bad my eyebrows actually were. My first appointment with April I was very nervous. I couldn't believe I was getting a tattoo on my FACE! After deciding on a color and shape, she went to work doing the 3D hair stroke. I was shocked after I saw my new eyebrows as they were so different from the few hairs that I called my eyebrows. I looked in the mirror the next day and thought "what did I do!?" After about half a day I was IN LOVE with my thick dark eyebrows. The healing process took maybe 2-3 weeks. No getting them wet for a few days and they started to peel (don't pick at them!!). After they healed I actually lost quite a bit of pigment which upset me so bad (but April assured me this was normal). When it came time for my second appointment I couldn't wait. We went darker and added a bit more and made them even more fuller. The healing process was the same (except that I have very oily skin and I was told to pat my eyebrows down a lot) and I believe this helped the healing process. After the shedding and not getting them wet for 10 days (I think) I was presented with full permanent eyebrows. My family LOVES my eyebrows (I come from a family who for some reason has very sparse eyebrows) and now my mother and both sisters want their eyebrows done! You have to be very careful in the sun. I reapply sunblock on my eyebrows like its going out of style. I already can't wait for my touch up, in hopes of making them even darker and fuller. April has given me such confidence with my new eyebrows. I always felt like people were staring at my terrible eyebrows and judging/making fun of me. Now I get complimented and I don't feel judged anymore. I literally walk outside strutting my stuff cause I feel so much better about myself. And I love wearing sun/eye glasses now (because my eyebrows were so uneven it made glasses look REALLY weird on me.) I recommend 100% to get your eyebrows done by April. I did microblading back in May at Enhancing beauty NYC, April was very nice and sweet however, I was not satisfied at all with my end result. My eyebrows looked beautiful for the first couple of days after the procedure, but once it scabbed and exfoliated (1-2 weeks later) the pigment I chose (brown-truffle) completely came off. I was left with a horrible uneven washed out off-back color with barely any strokes. I spoke with April and she assured me that it will look better after the touch up in 5-6 weeks. I go for the touch up and the same thing happened. It literally looked like I used a dried up Sharpie to do my brows. I then waited a month to see if my eyebrows would miraculously get better but no, nothing. I contacted April to let her know of the situation and her answer was- "sorry but I moved to California, if you would like you can come back when I'm in NYC for a color boost". Really??? I was appalled, her response was so cold and unsympathetic, not to mention after spending over $800 I would be crazy to spend another $350+ on a color boost. I am completely devastated with the results, I thought I had made the best choice for me considering it's my face but I was wrong. Now I have to spend thousands of dollars on laser treatments to remove. I am speaking on my behalf only, my experience (I do not have any skin disease by the way that would cause these results), for those that have had a good experience great, but mine however, has been horrific. read more

I met April through a very satisfied friend who had lost all of her eyebrow hair to cancer. I couldn't believe how natural both her brows and eyeliner looked so I was excited to meet April and see what she recommended for me. I have extremely fair skin and blonde brows and lashes so I was looking to achieve a subtle accent to my exsiting brow much like the powdery effect one can achieve with filling in with a brush and shadow. April gives the most amazingly thorough and patience consultation! She shows you the tones of the pigments she can blend and customize by applying a small dot of the pigment with a q-tip near your eye much like going for a makeup consultation at a department store. I felt completely comfortable especially after seeing her book of past works! She even can re create a 3D looking areola for woman who have lost all or part of their nipple to breast cancer. She is truly an incredible artist! Based on her recommendations, I decided to do a combination of a shaded and hairstroke for my brows. We choose a dark brown for my top liner and a taupe applied in tiny dots for my bottom lash line. We did my first application in December, then my touch up in late January and one final tweak touch up in February and the result couldn't be more perfect! I save so much time getting ready when I used to spend 10-15min a day struggling to pencil symmetrically. Now most days I just sweep my lid with a shimmery gold-beige shadow and apply mascara and go! I also can go swimming with complete confidence that I don't look like a pale ghost with eye makeup running down my cheeks. Best beauty decision ever! read more

I had really thin over plucked eyebrows (thanks to the 90's and being a teen not knowing what the hell I was doing).
