The facility is very clean - units, hallways, all of it. Staff (Dominique) was very pleasant and helpful - she addressed all of my concerns and made our move-in easy. Carts were clean, in great shape, and plenty available. I'm impressed with the facility's use of technology - I completed all of my check-in, paperwork, and payment on my smart phone a few hours before we arrived. The mobile app is great for remembering access hours and codes. Very pleased with our choice to store items here - highly recommend!

They were the hardest working group of guys and very responsive to all our requests. Also, very respectful of us and our belongings. They arrived on time and didn't finish until the day until all was done...over 10 hours! The move went very smoothly and we had no issues at all. Additionally, the communication from estimate to the day of the move was super and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This is how they get your private, personal belongings auctioned off. I've had a rate increase of over $100 in 4 months. How this is legal, I really don't know. It's bad enough to lose your home to a landlord who was indicted on federal fraud charges, Antoine Draines & Agora Realty & The Franchise Guy, for ripping people off during the pandemic but now possibly losing my belongings to a greedy storage company who obviously doesn't care about their customers and are able to get away with actions like these; is truly ridiculous. Stay away from Storage Rentals of America. I'm so disappointed with myself for choosing this company. I obviously didn't do my research. Storage Rentals of America is a prime example of corporate greed at its finest. If you're giving this company a good review, good on you! You obviously have money! Us poor people are not going to give a company that's raised our rate by almost $100 in 4 months a good review. It's not happening. We might give an employee for that company a good review but not the company itself. Storage Rentals of America doesn't allow payment arrangements either. So, if you happen to become ill and miss a shift at your place of employment, you had better be prepared to take out a small loan to pay for your storage unit or it's auctioned off. As a matter of fact, they charge a $20 late fee and lock you out of your unit if you are even one day late on your monthly payment. I truly wish that I was in a position to take my business somewhere else, but that would entail renting a uhaul, and it would cost us even more money. Storage Rentals of America knows this, and that's also why they raise the rates so high and so quickly at their own discretion.

As soon as I walked in I commented on the smell of the office which smelled really good from the candle they burned. Immediately I was greeted by two staff members (LT and the onsite manager) who were very upbeat and personable. The office was clean, the grounds were clean, the unit was really nice, AND I got a good deal. I am super big on customer service so even if a product is nice or your venue is nice, if you have bad staff I will not waste my time and will let everyone know...but these guys...awesome! Oh and I forgot to mention...on the way out I was offered a cup of Keurig coffee...(sometimes it's small things like this that get unnoticed or underappreciated) I am so glad I decided to rent here. This review is for Storage of America in Trotwood, OH on Shiloh Springs. I have stored my things…read morewith storage of America for over a year. I also paid for the tenant protection plan. I have discovered several items were missing from my storage unit (TVs, boots, a kitchen aid mixer, a blue tooth speaker.) There was no signs of a break in. My lock was in tact. I have given no one access to my storage unit. I made a police report. I asked the man that works at the front desk for an insurance claim. I've messaged SOA on their website and have called several times. I never received a call back or an email. When I went to the storage place I was told I need to talk to the manager, who is conveniently never there. I was also told they could not give me a number to call the manager. There is a paper with info about the Tenant Protection Plan and the cost, but no contact information is on it at all. I am highly upset and feel like they could care less about my claim or items that are missing and I think the Tenant Protection plan they offer but claim is through another company is bogus. I'm also convinced that an employee is responsible for the theft of my items. especially since there was no signs of the lock being broken in. The tops of the unit are only covered by netting. I'm not sure how someone got onto my unit, but they did.
