To try to prevent any further flooding, I contacted one of the well-known basement waterproofing companies in the area; they said they could not get anyone out for about 1 1/2 months and that was just to give an estimate. I then contacted B-Dry and after they got some basic information the nice woman asked if my system was from them; I said that I did not know since it was installed prior to my purchase of the house. She went and checked their records and informed me that it was installed by B-Dry in 1980 and therefore was still under warranty. At this point she scheduled me for service a couple of days later and asked if I wanted a copy of the documents. On the following Monday service technician arrived on time; he was knowledgeable and helpful. After a quick inspection he determined that the issue was that the plug for the sump pump was loose due to the adapter, so I taped it to the drainpipe and the pump has been working without issue since them. The whole service call was efficient and ended up being no charge. They also provided me with a complete copy of the documents and warranty for the system. I respect how B-Dry handled this issue; they went above and beyond for a system they installed 53 years ago. They did not take advantage of the fact that I didn't know they had installed the system. B-Dry would be my choice if I needed a basement waterproofing system and I would recommend you use them if you have any flooding issues.

Service was scheduled a few months later and they came out on Oct. 21st to do the work. I was surprised there wasn't an excavator, but the four man crew dug out the ground with hand shovels. Didn't matter much, they installed their barriers, topped with their tar compound and filled the holes back up. They showed me what was going on and explained the what/why as they went and left me very pleased. It's been less than a month, but haven't had an issue yet. So far, happy to report I don't expect that to change much either. We would absolutely recommend them to our neighbors, friends and family.

But, I did not hear that they don't encapsulate the interior walls and more importantly that they leave the inside part of the floor uncovered. Common sense is that if the entire floor is not covered there can still be mold and radon. I'm just disappointed in the service and a supervisor did come out and that this is how they do it.
